Here. Have application. I used the Corporate Entity starting build, and spent my initial 800 million Credits.

Faction: Auroran Industrial Commonwealth

Leader: Sentient Mining Station Salvoren

High Ranking Officials: None relevant

Civics: Representation, Authoritarianism, Corporatism, Civic Culture

History: The Auroran Industrial Commonwealth, as a civilisation, has some four hundred years of history behind it. Its origin can be traced back to old abandoned mining infrastructure left on the planet spontaneously gaining sentience and rebuilding itself. Since, the Auroran Industrial Commonwealth - although it was not called that until all of the abandoned mining infrastructure on the planet was "awakened," have worked towards industrialising the planet on which it existed. Technology developed by both independent research and by the reverse engineering of themselves, and the planet slowly began being covered in drones, factories, pollution, and mines. It was only a year ago, during the Auroran Industrial Commonwealth's big push towards extrasolar exploration, that galactic society re-established contact with this lost, and now independent, mining colony. Since, the Auroran Industrial Commonwealth have done its best to stay out of the fray of galactic politics, and have worked towards maintaining its autonomy from all warring factions and towards the industrialisation of their solar system.

Diplomatic Relations: As a newcomer to the galactic scene, the Auroran Industrial Commonwealth did not yet spend enough years in the halls of galactic politics to have friends or enemies. However, the Auroran Industrial Commonwealth does have relatively chilly relations with the corporation that originally sponsored the mining project from which the Commonwealth was born.

Not right now. I think it would be the best if you just clarify the mechanics whenever the issue becomes necessary once the RP starts.

Wouldn't a sentient expanding robotic society be hyperpurged by any organic civilization with orbital weapons?

I haven't read it, yet. Are they a species that was isolated from the galaxy or have been connected to the rest of us.

Yeah, if it was isolated then it might have been able to survive, otherwise I imagine they would be destroyed.

So my idea of a society of mutants that are ruled by a AI that was tasked to rebuild their ecosystem its own way?

The original species nuked itself but they made an AI tasked with preserving what's left. It did its job, but broke its code to do whatever it takes to rebuild the ecosystem despite the planet being irradiated. The mutants believed it to be a god because of it. Though, it could be a mythical figure with it only orchestrating the nation behind the scenes.

They have advance robotics, some degree of cybernetics, and industrial production. They have just embraced star wars energy weaponry but some things like blasters are based on crystal and high-conduction signals. They aren't big fighters since they haven't had a major conflict in the past 100 years since they are united by religion. They still like things such as slugthrowers and Kinetics but are quickly being phased out ever since the connection of the New Hyperlane and the arrival of the rest of the galaxy.

I don't think it particularly matters. It happens 400 years ago. But if it matters, I'm thinking that it was heavy radioactivity tampering with electronics.

My "Garden World" would be utterly inhospitable to any organic species. Radioactivity, cold weather, intense pollution...

Damn, that was my idea. The thing is that my AI leader mutated his creator species and their ecosystem to be able to live in that. Might have to do something else then.

Faction: Eshade Authority (Regional Power)
Leader: Viceroy Kenbru Gilwarn
High Ranking Officials:
  • Vice Admiral Krine Sekes (Commander of the Authority Navy)
  • Major General Casgor Gilwarn (Commander of the Authority Army)
  • Commodore Andras Scarvan (Commander of Delta Flotilla)
  • Commodore Lanesa Swifjac (Commander of Gamma Flotilla)
  • Colonel Quintus Rensmit (Commander of Aeryzus Division)
  • Colonel Zola Parrus (Commander of Shaixer Division)
  • Major Paila Baize (Commander of Jidla Station Intelligence)
Civics:
  • Police State
  • Bureaucracy
  • Corporatism
  • Gilded Culture
History:
Kenbru Gilwarn was born on the planet of Esshad in 47 BBY to the prestigious Gilwarn political family. At the time of Gilwarn's birth his father, Elgar Gilwarn, was the Governor of Esshad and his grandfather, Darex Gilwarn, was Esshad's representative in the Galactic Senate. Trained for a career in politics, Kenbru Gilwarn rose so rapidly through Esshad's political sphere that when his grandfather died in 22 BBY, shortly before the start of the Clone Wars, Gilwarn was selected by his father to be Esshad's Senator. During the Clone Wars Gilwarn proved to be a vocal and reliable member of the pro-war faction. He voted in favor of granting the Supreme Chancellor emergency powers, voted in favor of the establishment of the Grand Army of the Republic, and participated in numerous propaganda broadcasts. He regularly voted for increased funding for the war effort and was harshly critical of the pro-peace faction in the Senate; once accusing them of being Separatist agents. In spite of his jingoism, though, Gilwarn was not pleased with the Palpatine's declaration of the Galactic Empire and his self-appointment as Emperor. While he continued to serve in the Imperial Senate, he wasn't nearly as supportive of the new Imperial military as he had been during the war.

Following the death of his father in 17 BBY after the end of the Clone Wars, Gilwarn resigned from the Imperial Senate and returned home to Esshad as a hero. Following a brief period of mourning, the planet's acting governor relinquished his seat and appointed Gilwarn as his successor. As the new governor of Esshad, Gilwarn quickly set about distancing his home from the Empire. Using whatever favors he had left in the Senate, he managed to negotiate an agreement with the Emperor's chief advisor, Mas Amedda. In exchange for the placement of a small "protection" squadron of Imperial warships over Esshad and the payment of an annual tithe to the Empire, Esshad and the surounding systems would be granted autonomy from the Empire and dominion over its own people. When the squadron arrived, Gilwarn fortuitously struck up a friendship with the squadron's commander, Commodore Krine Sekes. Sekes' Hammer Squadron consisted of two Victory II-class star destroyers, six Arquitens-class light cruisers, and two Gozanti-class cruisers.

For the duration of the Galactic Civil War, Gilwarn's rule over the Esshad occurred with little incident. While he worked to improve the planet's industrial and trad capacity, Krine Sekes was left to police the Esshad system and the surrounding Giux sector. The most severe threat to Gilwarn's rule over the sector came in 1 ABY when a small rebel task force consisting of a few CR90-class corvettes, two EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigates, two squadrons of X-Wings, and a squadron of Y-Wing bombers jumped into the Esshad system in search of a base in the Unknown Regions. Surprised by the presence of Hammer Squadron, the entirety of the rebel task force was destroyed by Sekes before they could flee.

Shortly before the Battle of Endor, the Imperial Navy sent out a call to all the Imperial fleets to send some of their ships to the Imperial fleet waiting in the Hudalla system. Sekes dispatched his two star destroyers, all six of his Arquitens-class light cruisers, and one of his Gozanti-class cruisers. Following the Empire's defeat at Endor, a briefly comatose Sekes returned to Esshad aboard the Warlord, a badly-damaged Arquitens-class light cruiser. The rest of the ships he'd dispatched had been destroyed or damaged beyond repair in the ensuing battle. Gilwarn weighed his options. At the time, the Empire's defeat was far from certain. The rebels, despite their victory, had been mauled by the more powerful Imperial fleet. The decisive rebel victory at the Battle of Jakku the following year was the straw that broke the bantha's back. Gilwarn asked Sekes if he'd join him in declaring independence from the Empire. With no Emperor to lead him and an Empire in shambles, Sekes accepted his long-time friend's offer. The remnants of his squadron also joined him.

A month later Kenbru Gilwarn declared independence from the Galactic Empire, claimed dominion over the entire Giux Sector, and announced the creation of the Eshade Authority.

Brief description of diplomatic relations:
The Eshade Authority maintains cordial relationships with its fellow powers in the Unknown Regions. It's relationship with the Galactic Empire is pretty strained due to the fact that Gilwarn's secession is still pretty fresh in their minds. It's relationship with the New Republic is pretty cordial. The Authority is actively seeking to improve its relationship with the Core Union.

You'd better believe I'm a bitter Bernie Sanders supporter. The Dems fucked up and fucked up hard. Hopefully they'll learn that neoliberalism and maintaining the status quo isn't the way to win this election or any other one. I doubt they will, though.
