Helvetica is a sadist. She would have toyed with Flower, mentally and physically. She would see her as weak and mostly useless but would recognize the value of 'taming' her under the Horde's control for the information she held about Inhumanoids, the Trio and the Alliance.

Needless to say, she and Flower would hold mutual contempt for each other - especially if we can assume Flower resisted being 'brained washed' and 'enslaved' by the righteous Horde.

This does explain Flower's change of character which to those who knew her seemed sudden. It's made even more alarming by the fact that Helvetica would have been 10 years old at the time, and Flower 13 years of age. In essence, ahhaha oh I can see Helvetica saying something along the lines of "You owe me" in association with how Flower's not the the coward nor as meek as she once was- in short the experience has made Flower stronger.

Indeed - I can imagine a part of Helvetica is even proud of what she achieved with Flower, whom despite being an inferior inhumanoid was emancipated from her meek nature and made stronger. In way you could say... Flower is still a trophy to her.

Dang that's strong. I can say this- you've provided an antagonistic character this RP needed.

Of course the next challenge is finding the right place to weave her into the story.

Although personally I see the Inhumanoids as the true villains...

Seeing how status in the Horde is expressed by the number of Companio one owns Helvetica might be out on her own attempting to acquire her own collection. A collection she's acquired her self so she's not seen as reliant on her father's collection and position for power.

Yes, that makes sense. I'll go with that motivation for the moment.

I want to make a bear person, reminiscent of Arktos, my first gamma world character, but might do something else.

Could an inhumanoid be mistaken as a companio at all?

Yep, I noticed that. As per usual for me for the past few years, they'll be a trap.

The Horde certainly believes them to be Companio but physically no.

Since at least one of our characters is part of a wild card faction why not be a Wild Companio?

Companio did build most of the settlements and thus a humanoid form is not far fetched.

As in, just like Pokemon, an anthro creature would be a Companio in classification. Do know that Companio are generally intelligent- it took more then muscle to build a city.

I see the Innumans more as antagonists to the Alliance than full-fledged villains; they're more of an annoyance to the Numans than an actual threat. At the moment, Helvetica is more of a villain, but Spawn could easily decide to take a more jingoistic approach :p

I supppose the real test is if they care or not once they learn that the trap is a trap.
If they're fine with traps too, then they qualify as having good taste. :p

Now you've got me concerned... not everyone who turns down a transvestite is a bad person- they're just not a homosexual/lesbian (depending on the type of trap style character). I for one would be perfectly fine with being friends after that- though I'm sure it'd break the persons heart for me to say such. I'd like to go no further with this discussion lest it get personal for one of us.

Edit: And on the chance that you where jesting (I suspect such from the emoji upon looking at the post in retrospect) please note now that I have a mental condition that causes sarcasm and most jests to be taken way too seriously.

I used the emoji to make it more obvious, since I'm aware some people miss that on the internet (sarcasm and jokes, that is). But yeah, it was a jest.
Reminds me, a certain lesbian here on NS once said she likes traps (the feminine male sort, as opposed to just "reverse traps" as women that can be mistaken for men are sometimes called). I guess bluring the lines between male and female in such a manner can cause people to reassess their preferences.

Anyway, I've got a fair bit of my character's personality done. I seem to have a bit of a fondness for dark backstories (always found stuff like that a bit more interesting than a more generic, "grew up normally, did normal things, came out normally" type backstory"), so there'll probably be a bit of that in his background.

I figured that most characters would be on the darker side of the spectrum, so I had Marcus be a very cheerful and optimistic character to contrast that.

Do companios follow normal animal procedures? I ask as i am figuring my Companio, should i make him, will be older and will have been in a sort of hibernation-like seep until the beginning of the rp.

I've never been good at 'good' characters, even my least evil character ever (Maxwell Chambers) was a cowardly wimp afraid of his own shadow (and probably selfish).

Ironically my app for Helvetica was made as a dark inversion to your app for Marcus after I first read it.
