Biography:

Arief Sutojo was born in Semarang, Central Java, to a family of conservative Muslims, just like some of the Muslim population in Indonesia. His father was an army lieutenant, under a battalion garrisoned in Semarang, and just like other kids who are only sons to army fathers, he was forged by his father and set on a path to military career. Right after he graduated from high school, his father registered him to the Military Academy in Magelang, the national academy for training prospective army personnel. It was in this academy that Arief found his marksmanship talents, scoring a place as the third best in all accuracy tests.

After graduation from the academy, to avoid rumors of nepotism, his father suggested that he should get himself tasked under a Para-Raider battalion. And so he was placed in another battalion, garrisoned in another province, far from his father, but at least there he would be safe from rumors. As a result of his placement, he received Para-Raiding training, which became another set of skills for him, as his marksmanship allowed him a spot as a Squad Designated Marksman.

After working under the same battalion for two years, in particular a Para-Raiding battalion which saw a lot of action over the course (at least more than most of the battalion since Indonesia is fairly lax with military deployments), he was suggested to join KOPASSUS by his father. And so he took the Para and Commando training from Special Forces Training Center, and was accepted into the elite force, even though not exactly with flying colors. KOPASSUS was known to only accept soldiers trained to be "meanest sons of bitches", after all. He got to keep his Squad Designated Marksman position in his new unit, though.

Life as a KOPASSUS personnel, in addition to the immediate issue of Operation Tinombala, where he was tasked to chase down a group of extremists who claimed to have the same religion as his, even though with differing viewpoints, allowed him to attain a questionable sense of morals. Nothing is more important than the success of the mission. If his mission is to uphold the unity of this diverse country and defend it without dying, or at least successfully protect it before he's dead, then he do it. If his mission requires him to harm or kill innocent bystanders just to be sure, then he do it. And you can't stress this point enough: No one, NO ONE, should ever think of crossing the KOPASSUS and get off scot-free. Loyalty to the mission, loyalty to the force, and loyalty to the country.

While his new battalion in KOPASSUS was still under orders to chase MIT remnants in East Indonesia, he received a call from Army Headquarters. Before the Army Chief of Staff, he was told that he was supposed to replace an officer who was supposed to be sent in order to help UN Forces stabilize the situation in the "Special Region". He had heard of it before. Supposedly some hocus-pocus rumors about a "gate to another world" that had emerged in Stockholm, Sweden. At least, that was what he thought at first. When he saw the live feed of modern soldiers wearing the UN badge fighting a legion of equestrian knights that looked like they came straight out of the medieval era, he was dumbfounded. Something like this shouldn't be real. Then again, that's not what a man with a religious background should've said.

After the brief meeting, when he came out holding the letter of order - how could he refuse an order from the Army Chief of Staff, anyway - that mentioned his approval to join the contingent, he began having doubts to himself. Indeed, he had been with a Garuda Contingent before, meaning he was used to deal with UN troops. However, the mission this time was different. Back in Lebanon, around 2015, things were pretty lax since the tension had died down, so he didn't have much trouble for "peacekeeping" at the time. However, this time, it looked like it will be more fighting than any real "peacekeeping". If so, then why don't pick someone better? He was certain that his marksmanship wasn't exactly the best in the force, just enough to get him a position as Squad Designated Marksman. And even though he also has Para-Raiding and Para-Commando training, he knew that his capability in them wasn't that great. Thinking various reasons about why would the higher-ups choose him, he finally decided that it was probably because of his experience at dealing with UN troops through the contingent, and English skills, which might be good, but still, not exactly the best.

Personality: Often times found himself combating his self-doubts, even though until now this had never affected his mission performance (either that or it only affected on a very little scale). His moral alignment showed that he didn't fear breaking a few laws, such as code of conduct, should he deems it beneficial for the mission and potentially save a few lives. He doesn't talk much with the company's personnels, though not because he lacked social aptitude, but merely suffering from language barrier. If anyone talked to him, he would eagerly engage in a conversation with them, with what limited English vocabulary and language skills he has.

He is also a somewhat religious and conservative person, though he kept it to himself most of the time.

It was a major terrorist attack that claimed the lives of over 100 people, wounded countless, and had several kidnapped in the chaos. You also make it seem like he was informed of the Gate Mission, and then sent an another assignment, but that could just be me mixing up some words.

We really should get a list of equipment put in the OP [I'll send something to you Bentus]. This isn't your fault, but when in the SR all personnel are required to wear SRUCP(Special Region Universal Camo Pattern).

Besides that it looks good, unless Bentus wants to say something. Him and Fischer will have something in common in regards to tea. We'll get you flown out to the recon group soon [during my post], but until then you are free to post from your perspective inside the base, and can probably interact with the Helo crew pre-take off.

Well, I think since he came this late in the RP, I would have him as part of Garuda Contingent (btw, Garuda Contingent is a contingent of soldiers drawn from Indonesian National Armed Forces sent to help UN Forces on peacekeeping operations, in this matter, the "Gate" included) that was just sent at that time. The part about where he heard about the Gate was, well, let's just say he considered it to be something so ridiculous it couldn't have been true (plus, Indonesians are known to exaggerate some things).

Or I could just remove the whole Garuda Contingent deal concerning the Gate, and have him sent there because he used to work with UN soldiers when his old battalion were part of the contingent.

And I didn't really know about the uniform, since I saw on the apps that they wore their own camo pattern uniforms, but I'll change it if needed.

EDIT: Also Javanese ginger teas aren't regular teas. But hey, tea-buddies.

You can include it if you wish[the Garuda], but a majority of our soldiers aren't peacekeepers in the normal sense. More like just gathered from their respective countries for the expidition. It was televised shortly after so it'd be pretty well known, and at the time of the RP UN forces have been in the SR for two months, but only a few soldiers in Recon-2 have been there since the beginning.

Also a time frame for where the current story arcs are [accourding to what I can tell]

Arc 1 [The Kidnappers]: It is currently night in the camp. Somewhere around 1900hrs. The storm has yet to hit them. They are slightly south of the Recon Convoy

Arc 2 [The Recon Convoy]: Technically its around 1600-1800hrs(Due time frame for posting being a bit wonky after my post) and the storm is about hit (there's a light rain and some wind)

Arc 3 [The Imperial Commanders]: It's around 1400-1500hr from what I can tell. The storm hasn't hit yet (despite them being further north than the anyone else)

Arc 4 [Wizrd Guy]: Its around 1700hrs from what I can tell. The storm should just be showing up (Light rain, some wind, etc.)

After my post Arc 2 will be caught up with Arc 1. Whenever he feels like it (He's got like a week) he can catch up that Arc. Arc 3 will catch up whenever they feel like it, as it seems they're really getting into it right now and I don't want to rush them

Biography: Morwyn was the youngest of the children of the now late Lord Cadell Cergaine, the closest in age to her was her brother Berian, the current Landgrave of Regenos. Morwyn's family and by extension her homeland of Regenos, and old kingdom, had long since been vassalized by the Empire. For generations the Cergaines had served dutifully as the loyal servants of the Empire. very close with her brother Berian the two did not expect much in the way of responsibility in nobility when they were older. Berian trained to fight including in limited use of magic in battle, as he like generations of excess Cergaine children before him was expected to make a life for himself in the ranks of the Empire's military. Berian showed Morwyn many of the things he learned. She learned to wield a sword and to defend herself as well as the tiniest usage of magic. Learning from her brother while both were children Morwyn was no warrior like Berian. A bookworm of sorts she expanded her knowledge of history and sciences and the like to great lengths, however she was practically oblivious to the changes as she grew older. Berian was often away, leaving Morwyn to herself which often led to her staying in her chambers and reading, however dark days loomed.

Her father became a traitor to the Empire. In what way Morwyn does not know still. All she recalls of the days after it came to light that Cadell had committed treachery were imperial soldiers arriving a brief dispute that left her father dead and the following months as one after another her family was executed. Eventually leaving only her in the family fortress. Upon Berian's return and his ascension to the throne Morwyn was almost immediately torn from her ancestral home. She has not returned in four years and instead has been kept in a gilded cage as it were in the capital. Taken at the age of eleven, Morwyn has grown to accept her life in the capital. As homesick as she is and as much as she wishes to be able to see what is left of her family, Morwyn has access to volumes of knowledge and educators she would never have had access to in Regenos. Bittersweet.

Personality: Timid, and shy. She was jokingly called a little mouse before the events of four years ago but is closer now to a ghost.

I just realized a weird plot hole... if all exposed water was turned, then shouldn't the Ivecos have overheated almost immediatEly putting us back near where we started? Also, I think someone would have tried to drink some water or eat some food at some point after, or during, the bodies were cleared and before the convoy got moving. Bodies weigh a lot.

Additionally, Zjaum, be not impressed yet. Mon knows how I get, and there's a reason why they argue I'm excessive when I write. I write solely for the keks. I once made a post... that was 9001 words long. For what? The memes.

Well feel free to put that in your post if you tried to eat it. I didn't consider it while I was writing. Consider the water was within the engine they wouldn't be effected, as the extra water that was stored within the Ivecos, as well as the food, as no effected.
