Biography: Horst Evras has lived longer than most humans still living in the Empire. Born with innate power beyond a great many magically gifted persons of the world Horst would grow up ostracized by his family and village. Unable to control the powers he held, the young boy was a danger to himself and those around him, a ticking time bomb, one that was nudged closer and closer to ruin every day by the harsh treatment of others. Luckily for Horst, and those in his village shortly after he turned ten a young woman, gifted much like the boy was took him under her tutelage.

For decades Horst studied with Master Bryntha. She taught him both how to use his magical abilities as well as how to enjoy life instead of just surviving it. The boy began to see her as a mother more than a master and worked effortlessly to make her proud in his achievements. Sadly, the hearts of those closest to us can be darkened over the smallest of slights. As Horst grew ever stronger in ability and power his master grew hateful and even fearful of him. At only twenty the young man outstripped the master wizard in nearly every way, his natural ability and determination to learn all he could drove him faster and farther than she had ever gotten under her own master years before.

Electing to abandon the young warlock before she resented him too greatly Bryntha left him and struck out on her own hoping to never hear his name or think of him again. Sadly that would not be her future as her thoughts both of guilt and jealousy remained with her wherever she went. At thirty five and still appearing a girl just entering adulthood Bryntha began pursuing her former student as he explored life. Not understanding why his master had abandoned him Horst pressed himself ever deeper into studies of magic. His knowledge grew as did his control of his power, and before long he was actively sought after by those in need of his skills. Delving into ancient ruins, healing evil maladies, or aiding in fights against bandits and brigands the name of Horst became well known. All the while, his former colleague concealed herself nearby, observing and occasionally interfering, whether for Horts's benefit or injury was based solely on her whim at the time.

Reaching the age of thirty Horst took his own student, a young boy by the name of Gawyn Fench, gifted much like Horst had been at his age. For two years the pair was inseparable, Bryntha watched as Horst never seemed to share her emotions and she grew enraged. Possibly mad with having hidden herself for such a long time, now almost ten years having stalked and watched Horst in his daily life. Bryntha overcome with her feelings of anger toward her pupil stole from him his own student. Using vile powers Bryntha devoured Gawyn's magical power and life itself to strengthen herself. Excruciatingly painful for both of those involved when Horst discovered the lifeless body of his student and the taunting message of his former master the man was filled with rage and confusion. Why would someone he had trusted so deeply, and considered like his own mother do such a terrible thing.

With little choice Horst confronted Bryntha in a long abandoned shack in the mountains north of the Empire's capital. During the fight Horst burned away ice and stone, and wrought vengeance on the woman before him. In her last breath Bryntha finally explained to him the reason she feared him. When she had grown to no longer need her master she had tested her abilities in a duel with them, accidentally killing and absorbing a portion of their abilities. Bryntha had hidden this fact and run from the guilt of her mistake for years before meeting Horst. To try and earn penance she had taken him under her wing, but had grown fearful with how much stronger he was than her. Certain he would one day kill and devour her as she had done to her master Bryntha had fled, but became obsessive and paranoid with further guilt.

Bryntha had decided that the only way to ensure her own safety was to absorb the life and power of Horst, but by the time she had found him again and begun following him, he was too strong for her to defeat. When Horst took a student it merely gave an opportunity for Bryntha. If she absorbed the power of the boy she may be strong enough to defeat Horst. The plan had backfired, but in her last moments Bryntha and Horst reconciled as best as they could. Sharing for a brief moment as she slipped away, their early exploits and the time they had spent together. As a last gift from Bryntha, Horst was given her strength, devouring her as she had her master after all.

Following these harrowing events Horst became a recluse. He continued to study and grow but did so alone and unreachable by nearly any means. For a decade her labored at his magic learning all he could to grow it further and further. He worked hard to find a way to give life back to those who shared his body with him, eventually creating ghost like astral projections which remained tied to him, one of Bryntha, one of Gawyn, and one of an angry and bitter Master Tethric. Each conscious and fully capable of conversing with Horst or others at any time.

Twenty years ago Horst set out again from his seclusion. Giving aide and protection where possible and helping to spread knowledge where ever people wished to learn. That is where he now is, venturing through the empire living a nomadic and free life giving aide to those who were in need. However the influence of the other personalities within him has pushed Horst into a very aggressive pattern. His continuous quest for learning and growing in magical power.

Personality: Moody and almost bi-polar man, he always seems conflicted and fickle, however once he has made a decision he sticks with it. He helps those in need and is at heart kind and caring, however the growth of his magic and knowledge is above all else.

Looks good. Just two things to check: the astral projections are only those whom he's 'absorbed' rather than images of the dead? And also were you planning on having him be a human? Wanted to be sure due to the age, although a Warlock could be excused as being 'non-human' enough to warrant an extended lifespan. If all that checks out, I'm going to say accepted unless a Co-OP has any particular reservations.

Biography: For the first 6 years of his life, he lived a normal and happy life with his parents. On his 6th birthday, however, His house was broken into where he saw his parents get murdered in front of him while he was hiding. After that, he went to an orphanage where he was usually alone and liked to keep to himself. at 14 he started getting more violent and was kicked out of the orphanage. after a few years of homelessness, he joined the Brazillian military at the age of 18. During Basic Training, Verga showed very impressive combat skills and eventually after graduating rose quickly through the ranks to lead the 24th Infantry Battalion.

Personality: Starts off as cold and refuses to get attached to people for fear of losing them.

1. Lt Colonel is a fairly high rank for a character to be in this RP. The highest ranking Character so far is Col [I forgot his Swedish Name] who is at this point basically an NPC controlled by Bentus
2. Lt Colonel is a fairly high rank for someone of his age, 24, considering most of the officers here are only Lts and are still in their late 20s, though if someone wants to throw something in here about me being wrong, go ahead
3. It is unlikely your character will ever be given the chance to RP the command of an entire Battalion due to the nature of this RP

Biography: Cordelia Hastine Augusta is the fourth child of the Imperial Family, born in 1994 to her father and mother the Emperor and Empress Consort. She was born a few weeks prematurely, which put a strain on her mother's body and brought her to become moderately frail for the rest of her life. As expected, the young princess was given a life to be expected of a royal- she was educated by the brightest minds in the Empire, personally. The famous mathematician Alford Nansem taught the girl how to count on her fingers, how to solve for algebraic variables, and led her into more practical applications such as determining the width of rivers without fording them. The scholar Vandio el Carseo taught her classic literature and prose, formal speech and persuasion. Lady Arfione taught her more "womanly" arts such as dance, table manners, etiquette and speech, and a rotating group of Imperial military officers taught her history from even before the time of the Empire. Cordelia could not find herself engaged in any of these educational pursuits. Mathematics perplexed her, literature bored her, manners she found with ease, and history only mildly intrigued her.

Cordelia's early life was a very busy one. Feeling their daughter would not have a future alone, her parents began to present her to the Imperial court, where sycophant counts and lords threw themselves in droves towards the Imperial suitor. Cordelia at such a young age did not fully understand the implications of the meetings her mother and father had her sit in with, with lords in robes presenting their son Astron who would inherit a lavish keep and a wealthy city, and lords in armor presenting their son Tyrus who had already won a jousting competition. It took a few months and a few conversations with handmaidens to realize that her path was not one she would enjoy. The young girl found in herself a determination to find a way to escape such a fate before it was sealed.

That fate was found in a place not many would have expected- the castle's training yard. Her mother seemed very reluctant to allow their only daughter to play with things traditionally considered a male's domain, but her father saw within her a spirit that had once resided in himself, and gave his noble assent. That next day, she began her training. It would be commonplace to assume that it was not easy for her. On the contrary, it was. Her instructor at the time was a milder man who refused to allow harm or strain to befall her. Cordelia became annoyed within the week of the slow progress that was made. Once her father had heard, he granted her a personal trainer from the ranks of his own guard, an aging yet experienced veteran knight named Dantus who gave Cordelia a taste of reality- a bitter serving for the lavish girl, but one she swallowed and soldiered on with.

Cordelia soon began to find herself enjoying the lifestyle that a soldier offered. At age 12, Dantus had Cordelia begin to train with her brothers. On occasions, Dantus would take her outside of the capital for weeks at a time, having her abandon the silks and featherbeds of her castle for the hard dirt and rough cloaks of the grand outdoors. She fell in love with the beauty of nature there, staring up quietly at the majestic star-lit skies of the night, feeling the warm air of summer upon her skin, smelling the romantic floral aroma that permeated throughout the forest, feeling the cool wetness of rain upon her brow, and the rewarding, crackling taste of the boar she had speared and cooked upon a fire. She was swept up in the excitement of adventure- clashing swords for the first time in a true battle, traveling under the disguise of a drab cloak, exploring the streets of cities to which she had never been, speaking to those that had traditionally been put below her, and assisting with their needs. She found a particular soft spot in her heart for those not as fortunate as she- the poor of the Empire living in hovels, and determined herself to protect those most vulnerable as much as she could.

The life that being a warrior offered her gave her a rush at simply thinking of it, and this rush saw her bring an even stronger passion to her studies and her training. Cordelia did not limit her activities to training- she would commonly attend dinners and galas, where she impressed with her relatively intact style, though she had become clumsier due to her vigorous knightly training. While her more masculine traits repulsed those who had once clamored to wed her, the Emperor lauded her, yet this repulsion set in place a constant worry of total rejection romantically, which carries with her even to this day.

Cordelia, at age 18, had mostly completed her training. On her father's birthday that year, she was knighted before the realm, an occasion of pride for the girl. She was kept close by her father for a time out of his reluctance to send her where she could be captured and used against him. A year and a half passed before she was called before her father during court. Kneeling before him, she was granted the title of Lady-Commander of the newly-made Order of the Crown, a knightly order charged to enforce his will and his peace across his lands. Many were shocked when Cordelia, an inexperienced junior knight, was placed in command of such an order. The Emperor, however, placed her in good hands- among them a woman much like her in very many aspects, Cornelia de Yamada, as well as many other experienced knights of all different backgrounds.

Cordelia has served in this role for nearly half a year and a half, and had seen very little action until the Battle of Alnus happened. She had been left in the dark regarding such an attack, but after the Empire's twin defeats past the Gate and at Alnus Hill, Cordelia, who had been performing personal business elsewhere, made haste to reunite with the Order near Italia..

Personality: Cordelia is an idealistic and optimistic person. She believes that all things have their worth and every tool has a task, and keeps her head (perhaps naively) high. She is confident in herself and those she surrounds herself with, and has enough smarts about her to be able to read situations rather than blindly hope for the best. Cordelia is also a girl very moved by strong emotions. She is not wholly influenced by her feelings, but seeing something strongly upsetting or vibrantly beautiful will move her to action- whether that be standing off against someone stronger than her, or simply crying.

Cordelia places her trust in others carefully, and tends to keep close with those she confides in. In the field she presents herself as a level-headed and collected commander with a simple commanding tone, but in the taverns, she tends to lighten up and be more of a friend than a leader. She is very quietly anxious about her romance life, being utterly inexperienced as she has never properly courted, and is easily embarrassed when love-related topics are brought to discussion.

Cordelia is young and yet inexperienced. She has seen combat enough to not break at the sight of blood or gore, but has not seen enough at all to consider herself well-versed in tactics, strategy, or know-how. Her training, however, has given her enough wit and knowledge to stand her own in combat. Despite this, she shows some aptitude for making plans, but any concept of a "Plan B" is yet to come to her.

• Uniform Model: Cordelia wears plate armor that offers mobility and protection, forged by some of the Empire's best smiths custom-made for her. The emblem of the Order is done in gold on the chest and the Emperor's emblem is done on her shoulders. Her armor is a subdued grey, but it can be polished to a gleaming white when it is needed.
• Misc. & Other Stuff: Cordelia carries a small writ of authority on her at all times, as well as a small amount of money.
