Biography: Samara was born in the Eastern Kurdistan Province in western Iran during the late 1980s, a time where the world was still dealing with the effects of the Iranian Revolution. Her parents, worrying for both their own and their child's future in the nation, started planning for applying as refugees in another nation. It was a long effort, during which Samara didn't spend much time outside the house, socially or educationally, simply learning English from her mother to a degree where the girl could communicate, but eventually her father applied for a green card in Canada, and less than five years later, Samara and her mother were shepherded over to live in their new home and new nation.

Samara for once had friends at that point, enrolling as a bright eyed and foreign girl in a Canadian elementary school. While her accent got her quite a few bullies, she was, for the most part, liked by her peers. Her trilingualism at that point caught more than a few ears from both her teachers and administrators.

She proceeded through school with an academic proficiency, never dropping below average in any subject, and gaining a proficiency in French and English as well as her native Kurdish and Farsi. It was around this time where Samara's interest in linguistics started shining through. After high school she enrolled in the University of Victoria's linguistics program, and while she could afford the first year, she couldn't any further. So she took the option of enlistment, to gain CAF support in her education. Knowing the possibility of being deployed to another country was well within reach, she still did followed through knowing such risks.

It paid off in the end, her knowledge of linguistics, as well as her native tongue got her on the fast track to a domestic interpreter in Afghanistan, acting alongside her battalion's officers in obtaining information and assuring village leaders of their safety. After roughly a year of service in PPCLI, she was invited to join the CSOR, Canada's elite light infantry and reconnaissance regiment. She accepted.

Over the next six years she started picking up other languages in her service, including Arabic from her stay in Iraqi and Syrian Kurdistan, as well as becoming a proficient instructor and combatant. When news broke of a mysterious gate to another world opening up in Sweden, Samara was intrigued, and when she was called to represent Canada as both a linguist and a combat instructor, her intrigue turned to excitement.

A quick note however, all soldiers in the Special Region are required to wear SRUCP[Special Region Universal Camo Pattern], its just not listed in the APP for some reason. Also, I don't see the use of the claymore being permitted much less the most viable choice for the mission at hand.

I am of course not going to make you resubmit an app to change that, it is largely out of your power to know about. If Bentus or someone else has no futher objects I will consider this accepted. You'll be getting in on the next Helo run from Alnus. I'll get you your fireteam assignment and callsign soon enough

Hey Bentus, I know you are busy with work just curious when another post for our imperial gang will be up, also if it will be awhile, I was curious if it would be okay to either make an additional character, likely a villager meeting the UN group, or just making Morwyn more active as a character rather than just a reference.

So apologies for my continued absence everyone, I'll try to give something by way of an explanation. I'm currently working at an internship for the Summer, and it turns out that it's having me travel internationally every other week (or even more often) so I'm jumping between hotels every few days. On top of that, my weekend's have been taken up by preparations for a college competition this week so I haven't had a decent chance to sit down and post during those either. It's not much of an excuse, but that's where all my time's been going and why I haven't been as active here as I'd like - again, cheers for sticking by and sorry for the slowdown.

I'm part to blame as well. Searching for a full time job as well as preparing for an upcoming vacation has sucked up a lot of my time and I've generally been much too tired to even think of something to sit down and right. But fear not, I'll be working little by little over the next few days when I have a decent gap of time avaible.
