Riding his new fame, he ran for the 5th Maryland District, winning in a landslide. He has a great congressional record, writing many bills helping the poor and minorities. He met his wife, Julie Friedman, 20 years her senior, in 1995, and daughter of another Billionaire real estate developer. His brother is a controversial wall-street executive at Goldman Sachs.
