Meanwhile, Karrakis was speeding from mech to mech slicing them when Pax charged in. He had a sudden flashback of a similar creature he had fought before, only crippling it by severing a nerve that ran through the leg. (what if...) he thought before speeding over and stabbing Pax in the leg where the nerve might be.
1.) Don't use parenthesis to state information. Just say...stopping every 6.5 seconds to reload, as all units like him had to.
That way, you still get the point across, but you don't disrupt the consistency of the in-character format.
2.) There's 20 of these Mecha total, let's call them Legionnaires. They're old, but still advanced models, and won't be one-shotted, so try not to kill them in just one post. Some have melee weapons, shields, and post-modern versions of RPGs and machine guns. I'd expect you to treat them like proper NPCs, as in, not killing them instantly. Make the fight last. Further fight scenes like this will include a box to elaborate on how many are left.
Oh, and also, you should try to make your fighting scenes more elaborate. Just slicing/shooting without giving any count can lead to confusion, and can also get a bit boring.

Going to have Doug somehow repair his ship so he can fly around and start blasting down the enemy ships (if there are any)

The Hero of Time wrote a journal of sorts hat has been copied by various people and in the journal, he wrote about wresting Darunia. What Link did was the same tactic the Hero of Time used.
Expect this Link doesn't have the Iron Boots. So he has to compensate for that.
Osnil, you decide if it does anything.

"Pay him over there. I'll patch him up. Pax, please wait too."

Aw, come on. You're online a lot, so I could understand if others thought you'd do it, but why would you think someone else would do it? (Somebody who isn't online as much)
I think co-ops and ops should review apps as soon as they see them. If they wait for others, who are probably waiting on you, the app gets ignored and the person who wrote the app has to wait forever. Like, quoting the original sometimes just to keep it on the newest page.
Nobody wants to wait for, like, half a week or more just to start playing.

I'm not a Co-OP here, but in my experience that's what happens. Sometimes people are also busy, though, or they just don't notice the app.

I'm talking about my torchbearers app.
I can understand busy, but not noticing an app isn't really an excuse. There's that button that takes you to the first unread post, remember? And then you just read all the new posts... That's what I do anyway.
