According to the history, France isn't exactly in the toilet, just in a difficult situation, and I'd prefer to end the 100 years war earlier, on slightly better terms. Not worse ones.......

Perhaps the war can end early and everyone can hold hands and sing kum-bah-yah until the next European war.

According to Wikipedia, you are in the middle of the, Edwardian War. As long as France plays its cards right, and their king doesn't get captured, they may be able to win. Even though the Edwardinan War was an English victory, King Edward of England renounced his claim as King of France. If you can just do better, you may be able to win.

I figured with the recent successes in Crusading, the rest of Europe would like to assist me in flinging out the Islamic hordes from Christendom once and for all.

Ok, then Babylon's doors are closed. I also did some research, and I read that it spread to Egypt by Genoese ships from Crimea. So, Egypt may be infected. However, if Spain acts fast, they may be able to shut down their borders. This has just turned into a game of Plague Inc., it's just, we can't find a cure.

European Hungary doesn't have much of a navy, so they can't get those horsemen to you by sea, on their own. Unless, Venice, France, and the HRE allow me to walk through their lands, then we could get there.
