The Africans are Tribes, the Arabian peninsula are a United Group, a Nation, though they're still not what they were. That also brings into the question Crusad Part two.

Considering the First Crusade was so successful in our timeline, we probably won't need a second. When I can make a post (hopefully tonight or Sunday), I am going to conquer Syria and Jordan and begin my navy.

Ethiopia is a united nation, for the most part, with many smaller nations around them and large Islamic tribes in Somalia. Arabia? Well, it's just a bunch of Arab tribes fighting, with very little unity.

I mean, neither side had any reason to hold major trade routs with each other, maybe a ship or two, here and there. Their main trade partner would by the Byzantines, and Hunnic Babylon is not afraid to shut its borders, if they see a problem arising.

So basically the opposite I said, which is fine. More Reich for me.......also, Ethiopia is Christian, and inexplicably bad ass in fighting off Invasions.

To bad in my post we will begin an invasion headed straight for Mecca to burn it to the ground and then we will eliminate all muslims in my newly conquered Territory. It will be brutal.

Though I feel at that point it might be too late.

Considering our borders are closed on all sides, except Byzantines, and because the plague has to come through Russian trade routs, not Middle Eastern, we would be able to react, with a fair deal of time. Same goes for Spain and Egypt.

Modern day Egypt south to Khartoum Sudan and west to Tazerbo Libya

Capital City Cairo, Egypt
Large Cities
Alexandria
Giza
Port Said
Suez
Luxor
Aswan
Population: 8 million
Culture: Similar to Ancient Egyptian with Christian Influences
Language: Egyptian with Hungarian script.
National History:
After the first Egyptian Empire fell, the New Egyptian Empire rose to replace it. It quickly adopted many Christian beliefs through the Crusades, and Christianity rapidly became the number one religion. A new lineage of pharaohs came from the far distant relatives of King Tut. Soon after gaining power they increased focus on agricultural and new techniques such as irrigation to quickly boost agriculture along the Nile.

Military: 440,000 Total soldiers
| Egyptian Royal Navy 30,000
The majority of ships in the Royal Navy fall under three categories Raiders- fast small nimble ships for raiding and bordering other ships, Carriers- large ships to transport troops, and War Galleys- medium sized ships (that we'll be heavily armed with cannons when we get them) used for primary ship to ship warfare.
There are two divisions
The Red Fleet- 20,000 soldiers || 300 war galleys 60 men per ship || 20 Brigantines 100 men per ship
The Mediterranean Fleet- 10,000 || 100 war galleys 60 men per ship || 40 Brigantines 100 men per ship
| The Egyptian National Army- 375,000 soldiers
This is the standard ground soldiers for the Egyptian army.
| Egyptian Calvary Battalion- 15,000
This is the standard Calvary, they are fast and nimble but not heavily armored.
| Egyptian Archer Battalion- 15,000
Egyptian archers how have master the Mongol bow, archers can either be mounted or on foot. Mounted archers can be used as shock troops and are perfect raiders.
| The Medjay- 5,000
This is the personal guard of the Pharaoh and they are hand picked extremely talented fighters. The Medjay are under direct command of the Pharaoh, typically 200 stay in Cairo to guard him and the rest are used as spy's or as hit units.
A big advantage to Egypt is the extreme nationalism in Egypt and the highly armed society that would willingly fight if invaded.
Government Type: Empire (Monarchy with council of advisors)
Continent: Africa
Unity: United
People Group: Somewhat Arab (Egyptian)
Military Strength:
Some funds and weapons
National Ideology: Militaristic Nationalist Imperialist

Considering they are also smacking you around, with part of your territory in revolt (don't forget that, Burgundy is a powerful kingdom with a lot of manpower. You will need to cut out some of your own population and manpower and give it to Burgundy).
