I don't know about Chile, but taking parts of the Pacific is fine. Chile depends I'd think on different things. Though I shouldn't mind too much.

I will slowly island hop until I get to Hanga Roa,which I will use as a supply base, then use my colony (aka my "expedition party") in Inca-land as a beachhead for an invasion into Chile. I think that whole endeavor will take about 50 years. Once I consolidate my holdings in South America(which I will use to beef up my army), I will go throughout Polynesia until I take New Zealand. that will take more time to consolidate than to conquer, but it should take no more than 75 years. I will then take Melanesia and Micronesia, which will take 35 years to take all of them and consolidate our power. I would take the first 20 to recover from the foreign diseases, though, and I doubt Japan would be happy with taking New Zealand, but they might be fine with Australia (which I doubt).

Just in case people are wondering what my warriors in Chile are armed with:

They would start the fight with 12-15 foot spears with tips like these:

When the fighting get close, our warriors would drop those pikes in favor of these:

And once they were to drive off the attackers, they would equip themselves with these to finish off stagglers:

All of the king's frontline warriors are armed with these.
