Even if they had, you know how long it took modern-day medicine to create cures/vaccinations for these diseases, even with access to these herbs? Besides, my rats would be easily spreading it to you unless you somehow have baths in the Americas after just landing here (which I still have major unaddressed issues with, see the previous post). I think I'll go to Chile. There is a current that goes to Chile from Ka'u. We'll hang with the Incas. It would be much easier to sail from Hawai'i to Chile with it than Baja. So with your permission I'll change it to Chile instead of Baja.

Besides it's one of my home states, and I want New Orleans Damnit. You control most the Carribian and most of Mexico with a population of 1 million. If you're making most your land unpopulated, it's vastly easier to take. The Carribian probably has less people than IRL, so I choose a random island and settle. Also just clarifying you took all this land before you got diseased if I'm correct?
