I would like to point out that I would be quite willing to have a good relationship with France if you weren't trying to take my land. Smallpox and the plague would still be a problem for you though, but we could trade. I mean, who doesn't want corn?

I know, and I'm not talking about Small Pox, I'm referring to other diseases. We're also dealing with those diseases, and technically you will probably have a few more outbreaks like Europe probably, though nothing completely detrimental. I know what I want, and unfortunately this is the only way to acquire it. (How you acquired to the Carribian and held onto it still shocks me however.)

We held onto it because practically no one lives there, and we have Japanese ships. And I wasn't saying you'll give us smallpox, but the other way around. Killing most of our population, smallpox is kinda like European Black Plague irl where it was fucking terrible for a few decades but then everyone became basically immune. Europe, however, still isn't completely immune, unlike us (we're mostly immune, I'm not gonna say 100%, but almost). You'll probably be done with the black plague by this time though.

*laughs hysterically* hand cannons? HAND CANNONS? *continues laughing*. Those things are ineffective as all hell! You can fire one shot, that will almost definitely miss, and even if it hits, it probably won't kill like modern guns. We can fire dozens of arrows by the time you can reload your hand cannon. Even when the Spanish conquered the Aztecs, their more modern guns were so useless and laughed at by the Natives that almost all the fighting was done with swords. The reason the Spanish won was because diseases. Now, you may have some diseases, but it won't be anywhere near as effective as smallpox. Besides, guess who has smallpox and the black plague? You if you come over. Not to mention the better familiarity with the terrain and the massive difficulty of transferring a good amount of troops over to the Americas. Besides, while I admit we don't have a large navy, our ships are as updated as the Japanese, not to mention the pirates. Have fun with Yellow Fever too.

When I say Hand Cannons, we're going to be packing the shit the Spanish had. Not to mention you won't be healing, if you're hit, you're probably dead. That seemed to work fairly well. And we already have Small Pox and Black Plague, so bruh. Your Navy is also all that matters. I destroy your Navy, I get what I want. The Carribian. I also cut you off from Tampa, which I also wanted. You having Japanese ships doesn't do much if you don't have a lot. You seem to think we want to conquer every single bit of you, which we don't. We just want the good ole islands, and if they're pirates, they can be bought off.

It was somewhat halted due to the plague.

But apparently the ideals of baths spread through western Europe, so less people died.

You could make the argument that's why exploration is happening earlier. It would make sense.

The only problem is your people would be more susceptible to the plague when they are exploring, due to no baths being present for sailors, and that Japanese/Maya have it.

Just be fore warned.
