I don't know about the others, but I estimated mine from census reports dating back to the 1870s-1880s ish.

Well, while Texas is in the Confederacy and they practice slavery, it was the US annexation of Texas that led to the loss of half of Mexico's territory. We see this as charma by now supporting an independent nation against the US. So, we want the Confederacy as a buffer state between us.

It won't be easy to hold good relations with the CSA, with the issues of slaves that manage to escape to Mexico and if we will return them or not, things like that. But it will be worth it, I'd say.

EDIT: Imperial Idaho accepted both me and the Philippines guy, so... And by 1870 OTL, the Dominican Republic has gone through two independence wars (one from Haiti in 1844 and a second one from Spain in 1865). On top of that, you still haven't fixed French Guiana.

So I can make some edits?

Edited my already-accepted nation app to bring up the numbers of the armed forces, all of it totalling to a little below 5% of the population (hovering around 4.6something%, I believe). Hoping that's acceptable, given that my armed forces won't be able to match up to the armed forces of the highly developed nations.
