The Truculent Madhouse Update:

We are BACK IN THE HOUSE! Fuck, it took forever to have inspections signed off. Bedrooms are set up now. Kitchen needs restocking but, hey, we have eggs and toast. Everything else should come out of storage by mid-week.

Thank you all for your extreme patience during this horrible ordeal. I've survived Michigan blizzards, Japanese Tsunami, and California earthquake - but NEVER have I experienced the absolute inefficiency that is government until now. Our return was hampered by a lack of federal aid for our immediate area, and brutally coupled with having to make nearly all repairs on our own dime (offset slightly by insurance). Every trying to rebuild at once with not enough contractors and construction crews to cover everything.

The return to normalcy comes with a price. Swith and I need to ease into free-time activities. The priority is getting the family settled again and, of course, getting our daughter back into routine. Summer makes it easier now that school is out.

I believe we gained a valuable lesson this year. We are all so committed to our technologically enhanced lifestyles. It's hard to divorce oneself from the comfort of the internet, instantaneous communication with friends and loved ones, and creature comforts brought by microwaves, full sized refrigerators, and large ovens. We have also learned that family is more precious than possessions and status. Without family, we are all poor souls adrift in an uncaring world.

Thank you, Madhouse and PL family, for supporting us via telegrams, PM, and other means. Though we could not readily access the internet to find your kind words, we are overwhelmed by them tonight. Swith and I love each and every one of you.

The oppressive Galactic Empire is in peril! After the destruction of their weapon of mass destruction, the Death Star, thousands of planets have flocked to join the Aliance to Restore the Republic, creating the first real military opposition for the Galactic Empire during their two decades of tyranny. As battles rage on across the galaxy between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire, pilots are enlisted on either side by the dozen.

You are one such pilot, a Rebel, your origins don't matter. You have enlisted in the Starfighter Corps, taking to the stars to bring the fight to the Empire and end their reign once and for all. A former cadet of the Imperial Academy or a long time smuggler, you know how to fly a starfighter, and have volunteered your services to the Allinace. Assigned to the newly formed Sundry Squadron, you will pilot an X-Wing Snub Fighter on a multitude of sorties, far and wide, to support the Allinace's mission to vanquish the Empire and restore the Republic.

A lot has happened since the rise of the Empire in 19 BBY, namely the Battle of Yavin. This RP is set one year after, as the Rebel Alliance grows in size to support a military that is capable of opposition the Empire. You will control a single character in a specific branch of this Rebel Military, the Starfighter Corps.

Assigned to the Sundry Squadron, your character will pilot an X-Wing across the Galaxy on multiple sorties, trying to strike at the Empire where it hurts the most. Your character can be from any walk of life, so long as they're loyal to the Rebel Cause. Finally, this is expected to be a shorter RP, with a specifically planned plot that will be followed.
