Okay, so, with the map update I posted here and sent to the OP, I added more territory to myself since the Ottoman Empire is gone. With my larger population and land holdings, do you guys think that I should increase military numbers? Without increasing the army, I'm at about 750,000 away from 1%, and without increasing the navy or airforce I am not confident that I'll even be close to being able to defend my stuff. I'm writing up new numbers now, but I was also wondering what you guys thought.

Maybe you should start researching Asia, and such, so something like this doesn't happen again.

I'm also not interested in Asia, so researching it just so I can take part in Alt Hist roleplays seems a bit... extreme? I mean, Bulgaria or Romania would actually be open, right? Hell, France looks open if the map is up to date. There's plenty of space on a second look, once I stopped obsessing over NL and Scandinavia. So now my post serves for nothing more than some drama and bitching about unified Scandinavia Oh, also a little note to Bheothachadh, in case you care about it: "Deutscher Zustand" makes no sense, the word you're looking for is "Deutscher Staat". Zustand refers to the other meaning of "state", as in "the state of affairs". Don't take this as an attack or anything, please, just a native speaker who couldn't help but notice ^^

*EDIT after having seen Arventum's map* Oh, all the Balkans are one nation?? How? Why? There goes big strong Bulgaria as well... Anyone has a cool idea what to do with France maybe? *is willing to take almost any land in Europe as long as there is a reachable goal, smaller nations kinda preferred*

I think I'm goinf to have technological breakthroughs happen around the same time they did IRL, but I won't be mentioning it much. I might, though, but I'm just... Ugh. ;-; How do I keep up with all of this infos?! D: I need an assistant to give me dates, and stuffs.

Anyways, I posted. Only a few more decades until we'll be astronaughty.

I'm going for breakthroughs at roughly historic time as well, but actual use of technology will be different and often accelerated (fission is discovered in the 30s, Eurasia starts working on its applications almost immediately, etc). If all goes well by the time this world enters the modern day, tech will be 1-2 decades ahead (this will probably require a major global war to work though).
