Well armed? Maybe a long time ago. In WW1, Austrian troops were horribly armed, trained, and supplied. Because of German favoritism usually only Austrian units were outfitted with good equipment and training, while the rest got the short end of the stick. I'm going to guess that this Austria isn't drastically different in that department.

You're right, but we're nicer, more caring, ans generally less imperialistic. The Sikh may also simply give aid, or stay out of it completely.

I was mostly joking. The Sikh have friendly or neutral relations with almost everyone on the planet. Expansion has been a reaction to invasions, a PU, or has been done by slowly absorbing vassal states over time.

Europeans and Muslims (and everyone elss) have served in the government and military for decades. There are issues, yes, but the Afghans were squashed, and the Persians aren't anywhere close to rebelling after being beat down and split in half when they were invaded. Nepal is loyal, and the other state is one of the most peaceful nations in the world. So, yeah, the same way that the Sikh did it IRL.

Okay, sure. Just looking at your territory, though, it seems very spread out and diverse for an Indian-based nation to rule.

You don't know a lot about the Sikh Empire do you? They had quite the formidable fighting force. Actually, before the Sikh Khalsa Army formed, before the Sikh Empire united, a Misladar that controlled 1/12th of the Punjab region, and possessed 1/12th of the Punjab region's 1.5 million started to tax the Mughal Empire, which had a population that made theirs laughable. If thw Sikh Empire had survived, it may very well be in the world's top 10 greatest powers, had they been smart.

Right now, expansion is honestly the last thing on their minds. They expand at an extremely slow pace with expansions spread out over time. For the most part, my nation is focusing on internal issues right now, as they always do when they don't have a war to fight, which is about 90% of the time. They're doing well. Very well.

The sad thing is that the Sikh Empire isn't likely to be brought down by internal issues, or a lack of money like some other major empires, but by external issues rather than internal splintering. IRL, however, they splintered after their leader died. Their leader being alive,the unity he created, was empowering enough to intimidate the British Empire into avoiding an invasion.
