I believe they do partake in tourneys as Jorah and Jory have both had training in doing so, they're just less hyped up than the Southern ones, and Niall and Willam both prefer to travel the South, than stay in the North

I meant it more that the North does not hold tournies. All tournies are done south of the Neck and thus if a Northman wants to partake he must journey to the location. Such as the tournies that we know Jorah being in are in the south.

Once Damien hears from Tybalt in a day or two after the tourney, he's heading home. At a constant fast pace, a swift horse would make it in a day without stopping, yes?

No, even if you keep to the Gold Road you have to travel quite the distance from KL to the Westerlands. I would say it takes six days, maybe four.
