Okay, two things. I'm not the OP, or even a co-op, so..yeah.
Also, playing as either of them would be interesting, although the mountain clans won't be doing very much unless stannis comes over, and if you play the vale wildlings then you'll have trouble expanding, since pretty much my houses primary goal would be to eradicate you.

Okay, so I thought about it and I was wondering.

Is there a custom house who needs a sworn sword?

The martharts could do with one once I finish them, which be sometime today. They are a young house in the Crownlands who own an estate in the outskirts of the Kingswood in the service of the Baratheons, acting more as governors of the smallfolk/suppressors of the kingswood bandits than as the warlords many Lords act as.

Also, can the son, Adrian Marthart be added to the jousting brackets? He would be pretty good due to his crownlander military education, although he would definitely not be able to beat someone like, say, a Tyrell due to his training specializing in fighting with greatswords and bastard swords.

The Forsworn Knights wrote:House Name: House Marthart

Allegiance Paid to: House Baratheon of King's landing
House Seat: Dewmire Palace, a castle on a Motte in the far outskirts of the Kingswood, surrounded by a single curtain wall around the perimeter, although there is evidence that Palisades has previously been placed in positions throughout the castle. On the map
Approx Number of military at command: The Marthart's of Dewmire are generally command at least 50 men during times of peace, and would likely be able to raise between 700 and 1000 total depending on the state of the territory. Over the years since Robert's Rebellion the Martharts have been able to raise enough spears, swords, crossbows, and other such weapons and used scraps of light armor to properly equip around 100 soldiers in a hurry, and partially provide equipment for a further hundred of the levy, while others will either provide their own equipment, or loot it from corpses. Additionally, most households keep at least a basic spear on hand to fend off any outlaws that may be roaming the area. That being said, the forces of the settlements surrounding Dewmire are only ever really raised in times of war (With occasional reenforcements when members of the Royal Family are in the Kingswood), and the usual garrison mainly exists to protect members of House Marthart and to uphold the King's Peace within the region surrounding the Kingswood.
History of the House (At least two well written paragraphs please): The Marthart family initially became considered a noble house when its founder was knighted in 219 AC for his acts of heroism on the side of the Targaryens in The Third Blackfyre Rebellion, seizing the masterwork greatsword of an officer serving the Blackfyres as loot after he cut down the commander. This knight would serve the Targaryen family faithfully for a further fifteen years before he died of poor health, leaving his sword and name to his second son. That son would live until 247, leaving his child of an heir- Morgryn to take up the Marthart name. As a young knight of decent skill and a plotter of great ability, Morgryn sat in the backround of several events at King Aerys's court, taking distaste in the shadowy events surrounding the Tragedy at Summerhall and, in private, commenting on how he could never have made such a foolish mistake as to try to hatch several dragon eggs without proper study.
Morgryn continued to serve as one of many landless nobles acting as Courtiers in Aerys's court, Morgryn served as the commander of a small troop of Targaryen soldiers in the War of The Ninepenny Kings, being visibly scarred in the torso after being stabbed three times with a dagger and then thrown to the ground by Blackfyre soldiers.

Morgryn would later vocally support the Lannisters in the Reyne-Tarbeck rebellion against the rule of Tytos Lannister, and in particular praise Tywin's tactical ability to completely and utterly crush the rebels. Morgryn's son and heir, Adrian, would be born in 275. Some time between 275 and 279 the Martharts became subject to the loss of their master's favor as Aerys's descent into madness began, leading them to fade deeper into the backround. Morgryn would dissapear from King's Landing about a month into Robert's Rebellion, joining Robert Baratheon's army and serving valiantly against his former masters in an attempt to curry favor with the new regime, while Adrian was sent at the age of 7 to be educated in Vale of Arryn, the home of the best Cavalry in Westeros, and a rebel stronghold where the boy would be safe from the wrath of the Targaryens. After the final days of Robert's Rebellion came to a close, Morgryn was granted an estate in the outskirts of the Kingswood for his service, with his duties being to serve the realm well and to suppress any brigands that rose in the Kingswood, with his son, Adrian, being his heir.

Name: Lord Morgryn Marthart
House: House Marthart
Age: 50
Gender: Male
Titles: Lord of Dewmire Palace, Lord of Dewmire Hold, Lord of House Marthart, Ser/Knight.
House Seat: Dewmire Palace
House Sigil: Marthart Sigil
Allegiance paid to: King Robert Baratheon of the Seven Kingdoms of the Iron Throne (House Baratheon of King's Landing).
Appearance: Morgryn
Personality: Morgryn is a brutal man, prone to acts of cruelty and violence unto any criminals his men catch in the Kingswood, and he is known for supporting the use of any dirty tricks needed to finish the objective. That being said, he seems to truly love his family, and have a sense of duty that binds him to the king, provided his family is not at risk of falling under the axe. Morgryn has been noted to be rude and commanding with his household staff, although he has clearly gained the respect and admiration of his household guard. Morgryn is, in short, a cruel, calculating man who isnt afraid to get his hands dirty, while simultaneously showing kindness and honor to those who please him.
Skills: Retired Knight of decent skill, master of diplomacy and intrigue,
Weaponry: Morgryn generally carries a long-bladed dagger, however he will use a longsword of fine quality when travelling or when expecting a fight. He also has the family's castle-forged greatsword passed down from the founder of the dynasty (Ordinary steel, its just an expensive two-hander that their ancestor wielded), although the weapon is kept secure in the family vault until the time that a man of the Marthart family must take up arms for war, or, much like the Stark greatsword Ice, when an important ceremony involving the sword occurs.
Military Strength: Between 700-1000, depending on the conditions of Dewmire Hold.
Biography: (At least two well written paragraphs please): Morgryn to take up the Marthart name in 247 as a child, and would be educated by an impoverished hedge knight and a septon until he reached the age of seventeen.

RP Example: You already know me from previous GoT RP's, although I can probably drum something up if you need me to.
Notes: His Wife, Elena. His two daughters, Ana (17), and Emma (19). His council and citizens of Dewmire. His son, Adrian, will be apped separately. Additionally a second son, named Alek, will act as a free son.
No, the Wall and everything North of it is locked out. Also the North Mountain Clans are not wildlings they are minor lords. They don't raid and very sophisticated. However they keep to themselves.

The Mountain Clans are not a unified force and are just a nusidance at the start of the RP. Nova has a weird obsession over them and thus wants to try and fight them which is impossible, especially for a young Riverlord.

Two words; guerilla warefare.

The Mountain men don't fight fairly, and you're trying to fight them in a place you barely know. They have lived in the mountains their entire lives. Either that or they'd hide somewhere you can't find and then attack at Nightfall before retreating.

Seriously mate, you don't want to fight an enemy like that on their home turf. Let's just say falling rocks happen unexpectedly every now and again.

Oh, i know. It's just caleb wants to prove himself, and the best way to do that, aside from winning or doing good in the hands tourney (which is unlikely, but he intends to try anyway) is to "beat" the mountain clans. He may not be as successful as he wants, but putting a end to the current bout of raiding would be good for him. The weird obsession thing was a little uncalled for though.

So it turns out I was wrong. For some reason I remembered Robert making the arrangement that Jof and Sansa would be wed along with Robb and Myrcella. Guess I was wrong.
We were meant to rule together. If Lyanna had lived, we should of been brothers, bound by blood as well as affection. Well, it is not too late I have a son. You have a daughter. My Joff and your Sansa shall join our houses, as Lyanna and I might once have done.

-A Game of Thrones, Chapter IV, Eddard I

Had to bust out the book to find this, guess Robb is open now. I'll try to have the IC up tomorrow since it seems more people want to join.

Apologies for this app being less detailed than my others, I am in a bit of a rush and this is for my second character, who is a lot younger and wasnt around for a lot of the documented stuff other than some minor conflicts that he took part in.

Name: Adrian Marthart
House: Marthart
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Titles: Ser/Knight, Heir to House Marthart, Heir to Dewmire Palace, Heir to Dewmire Hold.
House Seat: Dewmire Palace
House Sigil: Sigil
Allegiance paid to: Lord Morgryn Marthart of Dewmire Palace
Appearance: Adrian
Personality: Adrian is regarded a a polite, honourable young man in stark contrast to his father. He is brave, polite, and friendly. That being said, he is still highly ambitious to the point of having the potential to carrying out acts of greed, and he is a vain man who cares too much about his reputation.
Skills: Excellent warrior taught by Knights of the Vale, Good Diplomat, Likeable.
Weaponry: Castle-forged longsword, steel dagger, access to shields, Adrian also has access to the family's castle-forged greatsword passed down from the founder of the dynasty (Ordinary steel, its just an expensive two-hander that their ancestor wielded), although the weapon is kept secure in the family vault until the time that a man of the Marthart family must take up arms for war, or, much like the Stark greatsword Ice, when an important ceremony involving the sword occurs.
Military Strength: Adrian does not personally command any soldiers, although he will generally be the leader of the Marthart forces and sworn swords.
Biography: Adrian was born in 275 the son of Ser Morgryn Marthart in King's Landing, and was sent to the Vale of Arryn for his protection and education when his father went to fight for the Baratheons in the War of the Usurper, where he was educated by a Knight of the Vale and a Septon. By the time he left the Vale he was a master warrior with a strong sense of loyalty to the Baratheons. He is noted for being a veteran of both the Assault on Dragonstone as a squire when he was 12, and in the Greyjoy Rebellion. He was knighted by King Robert Baratheon at the age of 19 in 289 in recognition of his service in the Greyjoy Rebellion. Adrian would go on to be a major force in the anti-bandit operations in the Kingswood in the post-Targaryen era, and built up a reputation as a fierce warrior.

Having spent most of his life fighting or training to fight, Adrian has finally had a chance to rest and enjoy the relative peace of Baratheon rule and is now travelling to take part in the Tourney of the Hand. Adrian seeks to establish a well-known reputation that he may marry well, as well as saving up a personal fund that he may afford to take care of himself well until his inheritance.
RP Example: You know me/same as my other two apps.
Notes: Marthart Household Members/soldiers

I think you may have remembered the Feast in Winterfell, Robb and Myrcella were matched up when they all formally enter the hall and the girl had a crush on Robb. But considering she is nine years old, that might be even a little too young for Robert to arrange a marriage.

Well like Sansa and Joff it was a bethordal (can't spell right now, busy) thus they would marry once they come of age, just like Robb and Myrcella.

I need to find a way to even this up for Stannis. Having Renly be so superior in terms of men is... boring.

I don’t know if you can even it up, but this starts while Eddard is hand. So you have a lot of flexibility. I suppose the biggest problem is, Stannis is Stannis and Mace is the leader of the most powerful region in Westeros. Stannis cannot bend and pretend to like Mace, it just is not him!

Getting Stannis off Dragonstone and coming to Kings Landing would be a good start. Get control of the remainder of the Royal Fleet, as Master of Ships send it off to Dragonstone, and work together with Ned. Get some understanding going and if Eddard can get out of Kings Landing. You have a formidable alliance. But Stannis simply being Stannis, is going to turn a lot of Lords away. Renly is much easier on the eye and charming. Stannis is ruthlessly effective and unyielding. If Renly and the Tyrell's is still going to happen, I think Renly will still have the bigger army, but Stannis will be much more powerful than in the books.

Stannis is also the best military leader in Westeros, look how much he accomplishes with so little. He doesnt need any buffing just have him be the badass he is.

Stannis’ personality won’t change, I agree. He is just himself, love him or loathe him. But his situation at the start of AGOT is not promising. Sitting on Dragonstone, not warning Eddard or basically talking to anyone is not the great strategy. I understand not going to Robert directly and saying “They are not your children, but now I am your heir”, that may look bad. So Yaana Noore, has the chance to be a little more proactive than AGOT Stannis.

Name: Ser Jon Elmhart
House: Sworn to House Marthart
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Titles: None.
House Seat: Dewmire Palace
House Sigil: Wooden heart on a green field
Allegiance paid to: Marthart
Appearance (Picture appreciated): Strong jawline, sandy brown hair, pale skin. Stocky build, broad shoulders and thick torso. Heavily muscled, few scars. Light stubble on his chin and jaw. Bright green eyes. Smaller hands than average, and thick forearms from swinging weapons.
Personality: A man of few words, Jon is more prone to action that talk, and is very good at his job: swinging a sword at something until it's dead. However, when he chooses to speak, his words are deeply philosophical and his knowledge of people comes through. He is kind, valiant, and empathetic. All in all, a faithful companion and loyal Sowrn Sword.
Skills: Good warrior, deep thinker, empathetic.
Weaponry (If any): Bastard sword, shield, dagger, gutknife, hunting knife, plate-and-mail armor
Military Strength: None.
Biography: Though not old enough to have fought in Robert's Rebellion, Jon was a young boy at the time who was deeply influenced by the fighting. As he grew older, his father (a great commander from the war) sent him off to be warded by the Martharts. As he grew and trained, his swordsmanship only increased, and at the age of sixteen, he pledged his sword to the House as a gesture of loyalty.

Since then, he has served as a guard for the Marthart children, as well as taking part in some minor conflicts that have erupted around their lands. He has, over time, become a part of the household, though he never really spoke to Adrian or any of the other Martharts. He has, however, made meaningful connections with some servants.
RP Example:
A feral scream came from behind him, and Jon Elmhart raised his shield. The warhammer clanged off of it, and its wielder bounced back, opening his stomach. In a split second, his entrails littered the ground as he stared at them. Jon moved on from the gutted carcass and dented the helms of three more bandit attackers before finishing them off. Fucking bandits, he swore to himself as he picked up the reins of his horse. At least they'll no longer bother Lord Marthart, he grumbled. Riding along the path, he slowly returned to the castle to report the whole business.
