The Order of the Green Hand was a knightly order founded by House Gardener, the Kings of the Reach, whose sigil was a green hand. Only those both virtuous and skilled in arms were offered membership. The last members of the Order died with King Mern IX Gardener at the Field of Fire during the War of Conquest.[1] However, the knights of House Manderly still claim membership in the Order, as the Manderlys had previously been exiled from the Reach.[2]

They are part of the Order. They do not lead it.

This Order of Trident is modeled off the Kingsguard and thus cannot be allowed unless the Tullys are claiming themselves Kings.

It'll benefit pretty much everyone aside from the freys, who no-one likes. If they tried to rebel, you bet your ass they'll get stomped into the dust.

The canal is a good idea, but it's enormously expensive and it'll take alot of time. I'd say scrap it, and leave everything else. Use the money from the iron bank to supplement the funds the riverlords have to contribute to other projects, and return anything else from the loan to delay the interest on the loan for a bit.

No one wants to give up their revenue to pay for a (not)navy they don't think they need. The Greyjoys aren't a real threat anymore, and no one else possesses the skiffs and barges the rivermen use. Increased tax on trade is a surefire way of reducing prosperity, just see the trade laws of Aerys and Tywin.

For this castle on the fork of the rivers, you have to take land from a vassal without their permission, unless of course you are saying "I'll build you a castle for free", but even then, they aren't going to be happy to pay to maintain it, and it will fall into disrepair. And aren't river deltas bad places to build on, because of warping/erosion of the riverbed? Might be wrong on that point though, been a while since I sat in a geography class, so I'll happily concede that the fort watching over the river might be useful.

Fortifications around Stoney Sept, sure cool, will take months at least and will be expensive but yeah, why not if you are footing the bill/supporting the town to pay for it. The canal on the other hand. An act of foolishness on the level of Aerys II or Aegon IV. Its not that it cant be done (Braavos did it over how many years and at what expense) but why is it needed? The lords would outright refuse to support it. What do they have to gain? "To transport their goods", what goods? They are being taxed for river transport already, just use the already existing river network that has given the area its name. Thats something a secured ruler in a peaceful/economically powerful region sets out to be their life's project, a monument to their legacy. Edmure (since Hoster is on his deathbed) and the riverlands are neither.

An order of Knights is fine, actually one of the worldbuilding failures of GRRM. Basically every LP (at the least) should have a knightly order. It generates loyalty, promotes skill, and is a good symbol of prestige and right of rule. But mirroring the kingsguard? Literally copying the kingsguard? The kingsguard are a symbol of the crown, of the power of the monarch. Its a threat, something that the crown would be seen as weak as allowing to exist. "He has his own kingsguard? Well I'mma have a crown." "You have a crown? I'mma call myself king."
- It would better just to have the knightly order as an honourific to be granted to suitable candidates. Think less kingsguard and more Robb's royal retinue. When I get round to it, thats what I'm going for.
- Also Brynden is serving Arryn since him and Hoster had their falling out, so how/why'd he join this order? He only leaves the Vale because Riverrun is going to war. It was a separation that needed to happen between the two men.

They already have watermills. But meh, its not exactly a criminal offense. Its the forced inclusion of the vassals to pay for this unneeded or unwanted expansion.

The bridge is simply unnecessary. The ruby ford is perfectly fine as it is. But hey, doubtful it'll affect the Freys at all, since its the equivalent to re-tarmacking a road.

You mean the outlawed band of fanatics who are completely divorced from the state? That is a poor example really for defending knightly orders. They were a threat to the establishment and destroyed. When they were reformed, who did they threaten? Knightly Orders are cool, but no direct copies of the kingsguard. Hell, even Robin's winged falcon guard are outright called a "one up" on the king's guard, and if he wasn't such a pathetic figure then it would be considered a challenge. But I am in favour of seeing cool, original knightly orders which expand on the worldbuilding, so change the floppy fish's knights to just regular guys (tourney champs perhaps) seems less stark than "here are my kingsguard."

Couple things i'd like to say.
First, i agree with you completely on edmure's knights, caleb would be a great candidate for membership in your knights of the trident.
The riverine navy massively improves the mobility of riverlander armies, enabling them to outmaneuver hostile armies with ease.

The castle wouldn't be on the trident delta, it would be further west at where the trident splits, like riverrun.

The stoney sept fortifications, i agree, are a good idea.

The canal's not a brilliant idea, i admit.

And you can never have too many watermills. They increase production of goods that can be used in trade, which would benefit the vassals who help pay for it. You gotta spend money to make money.
