The old soldier of the ford was born in the time of King Aerys, of that no one can deny, he was a squire for his father who taught him much of the arts of war. He was a quick learner who knew what was needed. However he is someone who will do what he must to protect his family. But the Trioches as one of the favored houses of Targaryen know the rewards of loyalty and duty to the Targaryens. Hence only when the Northmen had surrounded Eaglesford and word reached the castle that Tywin Lannister had promptly sacked the capitol and killed the Royal Family had seen him being a man without a family. He and his wife had been struggling to have a child for a long time. Several miscarrages had not been kind to his beloved wife. A Frey as his father believed that having favor with the second house of the riverlands was good. Even though the Trioches keep the old Gods they are not above the use of various things to get there way.
Though Aron was hesitant in marrying a Frey with the young Lord of that house being a womanizer per the odd reports he got. He grew to love his wife and he would mourn the loss of several children. Not in the cradle, several miscarriages. When his eldest son was born as well as the rest of his children around the time of the Greyjoy rebellion where he proved the loyalty of House Trioch to the Baratheons of Kings Landing by being close to Barristan Selmy in the combat at Great Wyck with the Lord Commander and him become friends.
Now he will watch his eldest son ride in his fourth tourney and move to speak to Eddard Stark.

You have got the [size] and [align] ends the wrong way round (EDIT: so it read [size-][align-] then {/align]{/size]) so it has mucked up the code. Below is the fixed post so you should just be able to quote and paste.
Damien Branwell, Lord of Understone Keep
Tourney of the Hand, King's Landing
The Northman informed Damien that he wasn't hurt and that his name was Jon. Branwell had heard about him. He assumed it was him from the glimpse he caught of his face in their first tilt. Damien felt a wave of relief fly over him after hearing Jon wasn't hurt. After all, he only got violent when he was depressed or sad. He brought his horse to his squire, Symon. He walked over to his tent where a retainer helped him take off his armor. He lifted his undershirt to find a nasty sting from a bit of broken lance. "Symon, any news from Tybalt?" asked Damien. He had heard nothing from his only son in two days. The boy shook his head 'no' with a nervous look. Damien put on his padded gambeson with his house's standard on it and walked off to the stands. He caught a glimpse of some crannogmen as he walked by. He always thought of them as strange people. "That one is fairly tall," he thought to himself. He saw the Brude tent along his way. "Time for some fresh air. The stench of the city never seems right," thought the Westerman as he walked through the streets. He had grabbed his sword and dagger, both with black pommels, except his sword was a larger version of Tybalt's. Holding his sword hilt, he reached the gates. As he requested to pass through, he saw a raven fly over the wall. "Wonder who that's for.." said Damien, quietly, as he walked through. He saw a caravan in the distance, as well as a man on a horse. He sat under a tree and picked a flower, smelling it.Tybalt Branwell, Heir to Understone KeepNearing Understone Keep, The Gold Road, The Westerlands
As Tyb and his party set up camp in a forest near an old, dusty road, he saw a lone traveler on a horse pass by. He carried a sack on his steed. Tybalt turned around and helped his men set up a tent for him. After it was up, he stepped inside and sat on a stool the men put down. He asked for a taller stool to use as a desk. After the men brought one, he started writing a message to Understone. He wrote to the small court, talking of his sudden and unannounced return. After burning some wax and pressing down a Branwell seal, he sent their only raven to the castle. "I should've used the raven to contact father. A messenger is too slow." The men agreed and started setting up individual tents for themselves. Tyb thought it was a good idea to get more sleep and to wake up earlier, so he orded his men to sleep, with a couple men standing watch. They put out the fire as Tybalt climbed into his bedroll. He let out a yawn as he said, "Almost home," not thinking about what will happen to his family when the Lannisters hear of his disobedience.

Recon wrote:If anyone is reading this thread and wondering about which houses are available to select, here are my top four options.
1. House Arryn - The only Great House available. Yes there is Lysa and Robert, but as we have discussed before. If Lysa became ill or there was a Lords Declarant style situation, Yohn Royce could easily be regent for Young Lord Robert. Naturally Stark leaning, but certainly open to make their own storyline. Being able to field up to 45,000 men, under an experienced leader like Yohn Royce would really be a game-changer. With Lady Catelyn bringing her prisoner Tyrion Lannister to your court. Will you make the bad man fly?
2. House Tarly - Is Lord Randyll Tarly the nicest man in Westeros? No. Does he have an Valyrian Steel blade? Is he considered one of the greatest generals in Westeros? Yes and yes! Horn Hill should be able to field a respectable force and more to the point, as Mace’s greatest General, Lord Tarly will likely be leading tens of thousands of Reachmen into the coming battles.
3. House Redwyne - The largest military fleet in Westeros, with a trade fleet five times bigger. Twice a cousin to Mace Tyrell, Lord Redwyne will have a large part to play in the coming wars and with two sons and a daughter of marriageable age, there are opportunities to spread the power and influence of House Redwyne. Plus, all the wine you will ever drink!
4. House Baelish - OK, there is only one person in this House. Lord Petyr Baelish. But Petyr does not need great lands or great armies, only a few biddable men. King Robert’s most leal servant, the master of Coin is a man who has risen from these humble origins. Considered a close friend of both Tully sisters, there are few players of the Game of Thrones who equal Petyr’s skill. A key figure in Kings Landing, holding the loyalty of the City Watch. His agents and catspaws are spread across the Seven Kingdoms. He is quite possibly the richest man in the realm? (Perhaps after spreading a few rumours that Lord Tywin’s mines are running dry). Who could resist, friend of Eddard Stark, Lord Petyr Baelish.

Lord dies with no trueborn children. Brother inherits. If brother is dead, brother's eldest son inherits. If Brother is dead and son is dead/did not have a son, then the Lord's oldest uncle inherits and on down his line. It cannot pass to the brother's daughter or the uncle's daughter. If succession moves to a different family line, it essentially takes the next eligible male. If the entire family is wiped out, and the lord has no trueborn children, his title either reverts to the King or the Small Council will have to decide who will take those lands.
