However, Duke Joaquin from his seat in Logroño saw an opportunity to garner significant power for himself by appealing to converts and moderates. By establishing a firm policy of toleration for Jewish and Muslim converts, Joaquin was able to establish a more unified state with a better-trained bureaucracy and military. Using these, Joaquin was able to confront and defeat the Castilian princes centered in Leon and other cities. Upon his victory and the consolidation of his lands, Joaquin was able to claim the title of Grand Duke. He still enjoys good relations with the Moors to the south and Galicians (who aided him against the Castilians) in the west, though territorial disputes sometimes become problems.

Actually, I set aside more land for you in the other area. It's clear cut, and I highly suggest your reconsideration of this. Hispania is a place me and the Italians want. I'd pull back, but I can't speak for him. Also. I'd still want a place like Gibbter.
