Don't forget, Africa still has diseases and savage tribes. You have the power to push farther in Nubia and Ethiopia, but once you reach Kenya or Uganda, it's going to be impossible. Also, Ethiopia is Coptic still, so they won't be too thrilled about being ruled by a pagan.
