The Roman Empire has fallen. A Nation that has unified so many people for centuries, is gone. We know the story. Well, at this point, fuck the story. It's interesting, but we're here to change that up. The year is 700, two hundred and twenty seven years after the Frankish Army sacked Rome, and ended it's rule. The scene is changing, and not all the things of this new world are the same. Not by a long shot. New Nations are arising, older ones are showing their might.
In the East, the Mighty Byzantine Empire stands. A proud Nation, and a Reminder of the former glory of Rome. In Western Europe, the Frankish Empire stands mighty, building an empire, using things taken from the old Romans. Namely, Christianity, among other things. In the British Isles, two Nations are rising among their Post Roman ashes. The English, and the Irish. Of course, they are just notable groups.
In Asia, China stands tall, quite arguably the most powerful Nation known to man at the time. Then there is the other Nations, such as the ones in the Americas. Some may seem similar, but now there may be new groups to rise, and write their own notes in the pages of History.
A new Religion is also about to rock the world, and take many by storm. The faith of Islam. Will it Rival Christianity like in our timeline, or be snuffed out? Will it's adherents ride into Constantinople, or pushed back by the Byzantine’s mighty men of war? Who will dominate the Sea? These are all good questions. Questions you will have to answer.
In this new world, Europe is being formed through the fires of war, and progress, but you are not limited to it. Whether you decide to be an Islamic Empire, European Kingdom, Asian Empire, or Native American Confederacies, it is up to you. I have only one question left. Who here will forge an Empire to best even the Romans?
