Since Kurdish territory isnt an internationally recognised state, wouldn't it de jure count as Syrian territory?
Which means NATO forces need the permission of the Syrian government to legally operate there (paramount to the situation irl).
Which means Canadian forces are de jure illegally operating in Kurdistan which means they're hold accountable.
International Humanitarian Rights Laws can apply to this situations. We are in a "independent" state. Much like how Russia declared the same thing during the Russo-Georgian War with South Ossetia. So even though it is not entirely recognized by the whole world, the humanitarian issue can still be applied as a means for intervention.
Secondly, legally speaking, while Turkey did not fire first, they provoked an attacked by not listened to repeated warnings that an attack would come. So, this is a grey area for sure, both sides have actual law and rights on their sides
EDIT: How are you trying to descalate the situation by BOMBING CANADA. That is an act of war. Therefore war will have to be declared. If the United States ain't going to back us up. welp it'll be a shit war.
