I just reserved a different land claim. I don't mind you having Brazil.

Added to my official map. Update on the OP forthcoming.
Helghan: the official map on the OP has Iceland in your colour, worry not.
But what do you think about the larger second variant of the map?
Most players seem to like it.

No, like, the second map style.
We found a Victoria II map template that actually shows the entire world.

I did see that; it's been helpful to know where the real life borders are as I fill in the map with such vague territorial claims as " the Balkans".

We were discussing the possibility of using this map format for the official map of the RP, because it shows the entire world, not just like the toned down normal Victoria II map, and because several players, including me, think that it looks better.
So that's the thing, what do you think about this, since you're our cartographer?

I think that leaving the NPC territories in white gives a much clearer idea about which of us possesses what. We just need to make sure everyone knows that a white space on the map is an independent and sovereign space with its own local governance, not a blank to colour in with impunity.
Also, waiting on acceptance for China. My official opinion is that the second app is much better.
And finally, just waiting on acceptance of reservations added over the weekend.

Okay, I am confused.
Which map format do you need we should use? The classic Victoria II map we have been using until now, or the new larger format that also seems to have the provinces basically colored in gray instead of white?

The official map is the one I have uploaded to the OP and will be continually updating. The sizing is a weirdness with imgur formatting. The map can be saved to your hard drive and it will open at normal size, which is pretty big.

Okay, I don't think that I've made myself clear.
Look at this map, the format that we are using for the official map.
http://imgur.com/w1SkjXx
It doesn't show the entire world. It cuts all polar regions off.
And after looking around, one of the players found this version:
http://imgur.com/u2izTeW
That shows the entire world, plus all polar regions. And in the opinion of some of us, the map itself, with gray as the basic color of the provinces instead of white, looks better.
And people proposed that we should use the second variant, the larger one that shows the entire world, as our official map from now on.

Oooooh! Now I see. It's early on a Monday and I'm not fully caffeinated yet.
Yes, second style including polar areas is much better, plus the grey is better than plain white. I will be editing that map now.

Agreed, but whitening all the grey would be a lot of work.
Map is updated on the OP, as are the Accepted Applications and Reservations, per the OOC. I need to add France...working on that now...
Trace: DEA's latest app for China, yea or nay?
Nova: Submit your app, man! If you have already, just link it.
Reservations needing acceptance:
- Malagasy Kingdom - Kingdom of Visigothica
- Togeria - New Republic of Carthage
- The Orson Empire - Communist Italy
