Local 22 year old Diet Coke Addict College Student Ruins Everything

Quote of the Week: "A NEW STORY ON WRITING THREAD FOR HALLOWEEN!! MYSTERY MINE AVAILABLE NOW!"

RPs I do
- How do you do fellow kids? You want to see something violent? - Artemis: Deimos Trafficking League (Horror/Mature)
- Descend into the forgotten tourist traps of Florida on this transgressive RP! - The Community (Mature/Black Comedy/Slice-of-Life)

My overall account that I use for P2TM and even for international roleplaying! MNM is a mysterious and extremely dangerous dictatorship filled with supernatural oddities, demons, militarized soldiers everywhere, and a misanthropic nihilistic dictator who doesn't give a damn. It's basically if the SCP Foundation got mixed with 1984.

I'd always thought he was first term. But yeah, Rhode Island knows their anti-abortion pro-gun pro-corporate build-a-wall Senator. And given that it's Rhode Island, knowing does not mean liking.

If he's not liked, then why would they elect him in then?

Look, I dont really want to debate about this. It's stupid, let's wait until 2018, but all I'm trying to say is that the notion of "probably not being reelected" is idiotic

They shouldn't be. Incompetent opponents or flukes.

It's circular reasoning to say that they must like him because he's already there.

Seriously, the ads could just play clips of him

"Abortion. It is a horrid procedure that must be demolished."

You do realize that IRL RI is different than IC RI, right? IC RI is much redder than in IRL, ergo they'll like him more

Ah yes, short, tinkered and nitpicked lines used to attack Egazarian with. Those are probably the easiest to dissuade.

No, it's not. The state itself didn't have some magic transformation where the people were mind-controlled to go conservative, just some ridiculous elections.

Dude, nitpicked lines are how politics work, and how exactly is he going to dissuade them?

"Senator Egazarian says we need to respect the AR-15"

"Uh, I didn't mean that"

"Oh, then why do you have three rallies about how much you want to end gun control?"

"Senator Egazarian wants to build a wall and have Mexico pay for it!"

"Uh, I didn't mean that"

"Then why was it a central campaign promise?"

"Senator Egazarian wants to totally destroy abortion!"

"Uh, I didn't mean that"

"Then why did you talk about how pro-life you are and how evil Planned Parenthood was so much?"

Lots of people don't know their Senators all that well. Egazarian got exposed to the spotlight, and he pandered to conservatives, and did it hard. He's miles farther right than Rhode Island on core, vote-mobilizing political issues. What is he going to be able to do but flip-flop and say he changed his mind? He can't suddenly pretend to be pro-gun control, pro-choice, and anti-wall after he made all that so clear on the campaign trail.

He could win re-election, but it'd be scraping by thanks to his split opponents, not because Rhode Island apparently loves abortion-banning gun-loving wall-builders all of a sudden.

I dont think we're seeing eye-to-eye on how RI changed politically here. No, it was not magic or mind control, RI turned purple because of the actions of Egazarian and his allies in the RI Senate that made major changes to the state and helped the people. That means more Republicans/ Republican leaners, ergo more support for Egazarian

And no, he will not backtrack on what he said. He still supports them and will in 2018. He doesnt like to play politics like that, it's revolting to him. Plus, with those, it's so easy to defend.
