History: After the attempted revolution of King Faruk a radical islamic insurgency took place amongst the chaos, must to the surprise othe officers revolt.
RP Example: The trenches were no place to be, especially when the hissing sound of French artillery came down upon the German line of Lanzho. The shells smashed into the ground sending mud, debris and rotting flesh into the grey sky. Hanz Hurrdorf lept from his trench after the shelling to charge the French line with his stormertrooper brothers. There were far from the other trench but he could feel and hear the blazing machine gun rounds from the French Vickers. The round kicked up dirt and silence his comrades as they fell one by one next to him. Screams followed but they were muffled by the yelling of red faced men and the steady stream of death coming from the enemy trench. Hanz adrenaline was pushing his heart out of his chest and finally he fell into the enemy trench to the surprise of a French men who turned to fire. The shot skimmed Hanz shoulder causing him to drop his rifle. He quickly retrieved his luger and began to fire all nine rounds of his weapon as fast as he could before the body in front of him went limp. Time froze as he looked as the ragdolled man and the smoke from the Luger....das ist die Hölle

History: For a long time, Spain's and Portugal had excelled at their imperial ambitions. But over time, their empires started to slowly decay. Both had lost most of their colonies in Asia and the americas by the 20th century. Portugal and Spain turned to each other and signed a treaty uniting the two under the name of the Iberian Empire, uniting their forces. After the loss of Macau and East Timor, the two felt even closer. Both sides had a deep sense of anger over their losses.
Since the union, Iberia has expanded its ties to,the western empires such as France, U.K., and Italy. It has some groups in African colonies calling for independence. Most rebellions are quickly quashed, but some worrying it may soon get out of hand.

That's... 5,000 times larger than the historical largest nuclear weapon ever tested, which was in the 1960s... Also, you're going to knock down half the trees in Asia...

It's probably going to be the size of a nuclear reactor if the yield is any indication. Even so, if the thing does blow up and is even just 1% of the actual yield, serious damage is going to occur to anything within ~100 km at a minimum. Its mainly my way of giving Japan the middle finger. They won't know it's a bomb until it's too late (it will look like a reactor and all that).

Artistic License – Nuclear Physics: It is practically impossible that Korea could build the "Glorious People's Revolutionary Hammer", a 250,000 megaton nuclear doomsday weapon. In OTL the largest nuclear device ever built was Tsar Bomba, which had a maximum theoretical yield of 100 megatons but was detonated with a yield of 50 megatons.
