Yeah, so there is a point...next break, I'll have Derek come back and tell everyone that his dad "banned" him from transforming at the school until he was older. That work?

If it keeps him from transforming until then and making the other people have a fit about it I'm sure that'd be fine.

Why can't he just be one in training? It's honestly incredibly far fetched that he's already mastered it and is registered.

To quote from the wiki, "Part of the process by which one becomes an Animagus is holding the leaf of a mandrake in their mouth for an entire month, using the leaf for the creation of a potion, and reciting an incantation (Amato Animo Animato Animagus) on a daily basis"

SO how about he's just one in training? That way Rachel is still inspired and would explain why he can't/wont' transform again

That could work also, since that was the way I had Rachel learn how to transform in the last RP.
