Official Declaration of War as issued by the Congress of the United States.

From this day, May, in the year of our lord 1840, a state of war shall exist between the United States of America, and the Empire of Spain.

Following the Declartion, the US Federal Marines were organized and dispatched along with the US Gulf Fleet south to take Havana. The Marines were to cap use the major port city so as to allow the future landing of Federal Infantrymen on the island.

At 5:00pm, the Gulf Fleet arrived at Cuba. Their guns opened a full broadside barrage on the city, and the marines began to storm its defenses.

Havana, Cuba

Fighting had moved into the streets of Havana. With not Italian support, and the rebels being funded, by the Mexicans, the rebels were winning. The Baron of Cuba was distraught, he knew he would loose the island, that day. *BOOM!* *SMASH!* A cannon round went straight through the Baron's wall. "What was that!" He exclaimed, "The rebels do not have cannons!" As he rushes over to see who fired that, he saw American vessels, in the harbor. The people in the street had stopped fighting, many of them knowing their demise. Rebels and Loyalists alike, ended their fighting and looked upon the American navy.

Just then, Juan Chavez, the nephew of Cesar Chavez, leader of the rebels, walked into the governors mansion. He desired an audience with the Baron. He told the Baron that the rebels would stop fighting and join forces to stop the Americans, if the Baron agreed to unite with Mexico. Feeling defeated, the Baron agreed, and ordered his men to begin assisting the rebels.

President Garrison: Why hello my Fair Lady, you must be Princess Dido of Carthage. Any ally of France is a ally of the United States. As to your inquirery, New York is quite possibly the Centre of America. I suggest a trip to the South; Atlanta, Savannah, Jackson. All of these cities you can find examples of the great Southern Culture. The Cajun Culture of Louisiana, a odd mix of American Frontierism and French Culture has spawned such lovely Music and Food. I also suggest passing through cities like Austin in Texas, in which you can find great examples to the great American Frontierist Culture, and the cities of San Diego, San Francisco, and Los Angeles show the odd culture that has grown on the West Coast. Louis City, a remnant of the former Federated States is also a great city of Culture on the West, as is Vancouver. I must also suggest a visit to the great Industrial Centres of Chicago and the Mid-Western states of the area.

President Garrison daubed his forehead, it was getting quite hot outside. He proceeded inside, followed by Princess Dido who he suspected went off to talk with other World Leaders. He however moved over to a small stage upon which the US Federal Marine Band sat. He moved towards the centre stage and clinked a spoon against his glass of champagne.

President Garrison: Presidents, Kings, World Leaders and Diplomats of all colors and creeds. I wish to welcome you all to the Annual White House Spring Gala, held to welcome in the New Year of our glorious Republic. The United States was birthed from Revolution in which we threw off the shackles of oppression by a foreign power a ocean away. From then on we pushed ever westward, and that push has created the Frontierist Culture that permeates from the US. From the settlers of Texas to the Mormons of Utah, a citizen of the US looks ever onwards to the Greener Pastures of the Horizon. That is what makes America great. An American is never content with what he has, for instead a America will be forever doomed to push onwards to the Horizon, and when there is no Horizon left i speculate the American will instead look not to the Horizon but to the Heavens, and he too will join the Gods in the Night Sky as he pushes every onwards to new lands. However, for now, there are Plenty of Horizons for the American, so the Gods can keep their Heavens, for now.

A few chuckles emanated from the crowd.

President Garrison: Many in this crowd come from nations allied to the US. Many more stand here proudly, a invisible brooch pinned on their chest that says "I stand up for Liberty and for the Rights and Freedoms of all men". For the only way a Government can rule its people is if the People consent to the Rule, for while we may say that a Government rules the People, the People themselves also rule the Government. In the United States and many more nations, the People hold the right to vote for who leads them, for who represents them when War is Declared, when a Law is passed, when a Embargo is placed. Freedom rings from corner to corner all over the World.

President Garrison: So, today, let us Celebrate. Let us Celebrate the birth of Freedom, the Birth of the Republic, and to the Birth of the United States of America. Let us drink, let us eat, let us dance!

Seeing that Juarez won't be able to meet the demands of the Cuban people he steps out of the part for just moment to send a telegram back to the capitol. He instructs his advisors to open immigration for the cuban people completely allowing all that don't want to be ruled by America to come to Mexico rather than run revolts fighting the Americans. He then returns to the party to seek out the American president to inform him that they will be letting some "pressure out of the pot" so that they might have an easier time in Cuba.

Victory in Russia!

Hagall! The Russian War is over! After a short campaign to moscow, the Nordic Armies had soundly defeated those of Russia and easily took Moscow as the ary abandoned the city to hold out in Kazan. Upon hearing both this news and the capturing of the Tsar, the Russian people accepted defeat, and the Russian General Petrov Volkhar surrendered to Mesterseggr Lief Haraldrssen Blarfrey. They signed the Armistice of Kazan ending hostilities between the Russian and Nordic Armies. The Russian flag flies above Kazan for the last time before it is brought down and burned, while the Nordic Flag now flies high above the temporary government building.

A few days later in Moscow, the Tsar returns to his homeland, specifically to Moscow. The Nordic flag flies above the Kremlin as he walks inside, to find Vinr Bjorn, along with Yaroslav Lucovik of the WPS, Stanislav Wampyre of the Thunder Union and Anna Freyjasdottir of Free Estonia standing around the table. Also standing there is Alexi Sharinkova, wearing a new black uniform with a strange yellow and black flag depicting a sun on it, with the True Order party symbol on his armband. There the Tsar was forced to sign the The Kremlin Treatise, which listed the following articles

[1] The Russian Government will release and reliquish all claims on the lands of the WPS, The Thunder Union, and the Free State of Estonia. It will take no part in the affairs of these states and will face reprecussions if they do.

[2] The Russian Government will release and relinquish all claims on the new nation of the Siberian Order State, or the Order State, and will accept the Order State's sovereignty.

[3] The Russian Government will cede all remaining land not claimed by the above nations to the UNR and relinquish all claim to this land, along with admitting defeat to the UNR

[4] The Russian Government will pay in reparation 25% of their treasury to each of the realeased Nations, and admit defeat to each of them

[5] Upon completion of the previous articles of the Treatise, the Russian Government will cease to exist. No law, order or branch of the Russian Government will have authority any longer. All officials have been offered positions within the Order State, as well as all Russian Military Officers. No special privledge shall be given to normal citizens, they shall decide their own fate.

The Tsar signed the government, before being escorted from the room, for his new role of advisor within the Order State. An aide rolled up the Treatise for presentation in the UNR government building. The True Order members gathered around a new sheet of paper, signing into existance "The Moscow Pact" an alliance that joined the members of the True Order Party together.

Cuba
May, 1812

The Spanish-American War went on.

The Siege of Havana was in full swing. 9,650 US Federal Marines, 50 Federal Rangers, 500 Federal Dragoons, and 2,000 Federal Infantrymen besieged the city, supported by US Artillery and the US Gulf Fleet. The city's port was blockaded by the Gulf Fleet, with the ships sending broadsides into the city walls and defenses. Mortars rained down shells upon the city, and US 20 Pounder Howitzers and 12 Pounder Guns fired on the city, slamming cannon balls into the stone walls of the old city. Steam Frigates, the newest technology in Naval Warfare, was now being tested with the siege.





The Landing Force of Marines and Federals landed on the shore in wooden dinghies, quickly assembling on the shore and moving inland to the city of Havana. The men soon assembled outside the town, which was being defended by a mix of Spanish Colonials and Cuban Rebels. The US force soon formed up into Line Formations, 3 Ranks. They then began to fire Volleys, using the Superior 1840 Springfield Breechloading Rifle. The US Rangers did what they do best, and began to flank and were given to order to act as Individual Marksmen, picking off high priority targets like Officers. The Rangers had ditched their old Tan Skin Frontier Outfit in favor instead of the standard Green of the Federal Infantry.






On the South Side of Havana, was Palace Hill. A hill bordering Havana, the hill held up the Palace Tower, which was the cornerstone of the Havana City Wall. The Town was a towering piece of masonry, with Cubans firing shots out of its many windows down on the Americans and a few cannons poking out of its windows. The Palace Tower was a huge threat to the American Force, and needed to be taken out. Lieutenant General Russel lead his unit of Marines up the hill, supported by US Dragoons, and charged the Palace Tower.




To the East of Havana, a landing force of 10,000 US Marines attacked the city of Varadero. The Gulf Fleet also supported in the siege of Varadero, Frigates and Sloops bombarding the city with broadsides from their naval cannons. The Marines landed on the beach in front of the city itself, which did no have a Wall protecting it like Havana. The marines then charged up the hill, under fire from the Cubans, and charging into the city fighting hand to hand, gaining the advantage of using Breechloading Rifles and also Revolver Pistols.



To the south, not even on the island of Cuba, was the Island of Nueva Gerona. The island contained a Fort, from which the Cubans were using it to protect the waters around the island. This would not stand, and so 8,000 US Marines, 7,650 Federal Infantrymen, 376 Dragoons, and 300 Rangers were sent to take the Island. They landed on the south side of the island, and marched inwards. Halfways into the island, the landing force was met by the Cubans in open combat on the hills and fields of the Island. The Cubans opened fire, the US Forces fired back, and then the US Marines charged while the Federals and Rangers supported them. The Dragoons also charged the flank of the Cubans, destroying the crews of two cannons the Cuban Force had brought.

General Rowland Hill, 1st Lord Hill, sat beside the Earl of Minto as the Earl explained his wishes to the Queen.
"Your Majesty, the Spanish Empire crumbles, as does the Coalition of Versailles. It would appear to me that the most opportune time to finally be rid of Spain is now. If we can conquer the Spanish territories in the America's, our wealth will be infinitely greater and the Empire will be substantially more powerful."
"And, pray tell, how would you conduct such an endeavor?" the Queen asked, quite calmly.
"We have five First Rates, all of one hundred twenty guns, in Canada, Majesty, with several Second and Third Rates and numerous frigates. We also have several post ships in our Caribbean holdings. Colonial forces would be quite sufficient to counteract the forces of the Spanish. It is the Peninsula which has me most concerned. The Spanish have a substantial force there and we have but a dozen First Rates in the Isles."
"Spain's Navy is barely sea-worthy!" Hill barked. "And their army," he continued, "HA! It's barely changed since we sent Napoleon to Elba! I could take Madrid with only a few Regiments. All I need is the Navy to drop the Army on their doorstep and they'll be singing to our tune in no time!"
"That may be, General, but the Navy is still responsible for the defense of the Empire. What if our movements were to antagonize France? Their fleet is plenty strong enough to give us a go of it. And a right mess that would make. AND, it would get the American's involved and they're no pushovers, either."
"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Just send some diplomats over there and bog them down in negotiations and political malarkey. That will keep them busy enough while we push on through Spain and her colonies."
Queen Victoria thought for a moment. A war with America was most certainly out of the question, as it would spread her forces far too thinly. "I am overdue for a visit to that country, anyways. After all, the mess made by my predecessors must be cleaned up and wounds healed. If we can extend an olive branch to the United States, then perhaps they will look the other way as we tussle with Spain."

After a few more hours of discussion and debate, a plan was agreed upon. The British Home Fleet would transport the Army over to the Spanish mainland, launching an invasion with 120,000 men. Forces from Canada and the British Caribbean holdings would launch assaults on Spanish holdings in the Caribbean and South America while a force would be dispatched from India by the recently nationalized EIC military arm to seize the southern reaches of the Spanish Empire. In addition, another force would be dispatched to seize Spain's Pacific holdings and a final force would march from Nigeria to seize West Africa. However, before all that would begin, Queen Victoria would travel to America and be the first British Monarch to visit the former colonies turned global empire.

The Pope was in a very sticky situation. The Baron of Cuba had approached him with promises of former Spanish colonies in exchange for assistance putting down rebels in Cuba, and had begged him, as the leader of the Catholic faith that the Baron followed, to help him. However, America and the British had pounced at the news of the crumbling Spanish Empire, preventing Italia from helping the Baron or claiming any of the former Spanish colonies. Through various twists and turns, Italia had been blocked from expanding anywhere but Libya and small places like islands off the coast of Africa. Frankly, the various members of the Italian Council were becoming fed up with Italia's in-ability to expand at the hands of it's friends and enemies alike. This was to force the Pope's hand, and Italia formally declared it's succession from the Coalition of Versailles. The First Fleet of Italia, expanded two-fold from it's former size, had been sent down to the Spanish West Africa, Italia intent on getting at least one of Spain's former holdings. In the Mediterranean, the rest of Italia's fleets besides the new Fifth Fleet, along with thousands of Italian soldiers of the Southern Command, sailed for the Balearic Islands and the lands of Aragon, inciting rebellion in Catalonia and Valencia against the Spanish government. In Northern Italia, the Northern Command prepared for war against the Alpine Kingdom, with the intent of liberating land formerly inhabited by Italians, with a personal vendetta due to the Alpine policy of ethnic cleansing against the Italian Alpiners. Letters were sent out to numerous nations, in an effort to secure Italia's new position. Whether or not she had allies, Italia would rise. It was only a matter of time...

Italia has recently withdrawn from the Coalition of Versailles, tired of her treatment at the hands of larger nations who assume they can boss around other, smaller nations. All of us have a policy of neutrality, not because we want to but because we are forced to by stronger nations. If we form a strong alliance with each other, we can form a power bloc large enough to oppose major nations such as Great Britain and the French-led Coalition. All of us have the capacity to become great, and it is my belief that together, we can accomplish this.

The Italian League is beginning offensive operations against the Alpine Kingdom, which among numerous other transgressions, has oppressed and attacked Catholics, and initiated a state-wide cleansing of any and all Italians. Italia will stand for this no longer, and will declare war on the Alpine Kingdom shortly. If the Republic of Germany is so inclined, Italia would be glad to have German troops fight alongside us in ending the tyranny of the Alpine Kingdom. German civilians have also been attacked and killed by Alpine-sponsored radicals, and such transgressions cannot go unpunished.

Industry is gaining ground in Japan, as textile mills become more common, and cotton farms grow, as well as the cotton gin arriving by trade. Minister Xian has been informed of this and he is very pleased with this. Textile mills are going to by the industrialized future of Japan. Along with the mills introduction, furniture factories are becoming more popular, as wood production skyrockets. Furniture, once the factories are grown, is expected to be a major industry in Japan.

The Halt of Arabia - Abu Dhabi, UAE, Japan

The advancement of soldiers past the UAE has been halted until General Xian gains word of advancement. It is expected that the battle will be harder than all they have faced yet, but will be worth it, and all the soldiers know this. As does General Xian. This action was put into place by Xian, and has sent a representative to the Ethiopians to discuss the plan.

Japanese School System

Japan's first college has been planned to be built in Fukuoka, and be called Fukuoka Central College. This is a large investment by the government, and will be done in 1 year. This will bring higher education to the population of Japan, and bring prosperity and hope for the future of the nation of Japan. The Secretary of Education has sent a letter to the US government:

Good afternoon,

I am the Secretary of Education of Japan, Choi Yao, and I am hoping to make a deal with you for a chance for your college populous to experience Japan. We are under construction of Fukuoka Central College, and this college will offer many courses common in your colleges. Those that would want to go through with this deal, after you of course, if you oblige, will be sent a unrated ship and taken back to Japan under government protection to the college. English is expected to be a major language spoken there, yet promotes Japanese/Korean culture. This college will have the most experienced Japanese authors, inventors, and professors.

Construction Update - 4th Rate

The construction of the the first 4th rate ship is going well, and is expected to end very soon and on schedule. 19 other 4th rate ships are planned to be constructed after this ship is built. 3rd rate ships are being studied, but are barely out of reach for the Japanese at this time.

After receiving supplies, Ethiopian troops picked up their weapons and marched deeper into the Arabian Peninsula. The city of Khamis Mushait was armed, but the infantry was well trained in combat. Khamis Mushait fell to Ethiopian forces in a matter of days. The city was used as a spot to gather resources and the Ethiopian forces recruited Christians in the city to join the Arabian March. This unit was known as the Ethiopian Foreign Christian Legion, and was established in the city. With new soldiers and more resources, the troops marched on wards along to coast of Arabia, plundering villages and taking more resources for 5 days until finally they reached the port city of Jeddah. The infantry surrounded the city and fired into it with their percussion rifles, and then charged into the city slaughtering all who stood in the way of God's Empire. 150 Ethiopian soldiers and 670 of the Ethiopian Foreign Christian Legion were killed or went missing. Jeddah was captured, but not without the sacrifice of those who were slain by the hands of the enemy. More resources were gained, however, and the soldiers got ready and marched to the Mecca. The city was in ruins after a Crusade many years ago, making it easy to capture. The troops scavenged for some extra resources, and rested in the city.
The next day, the troops marched and captured the town of Yanbu, and Medina, as it was also in ruins. The soldiers would advance all the way until they bordered the Arabian Empire's territory. They are to construct forts, trading centers, and military structures of different kinds until General Abel gives the command to expand inwards into the Peninsula.

Territory gained: The Arabian Coast and Mountain Range up to Medina. Also captured Medina.

Troops have seized Doha, Qatar. It was a quick and simple battle, giving them passageway to the capital. General Xian is awaiting orders from General Abel to advance on the city.

Looking out of his balcony at the Nordic Sunrise, Vindr Bjorn held in his hand a letter that he hoped would not only strengthen the new Moscow Pact, but propel it's nations and the True Order ideology to the forefront of the world. An Aide came up to his office and took the letter which the Vindr had crafted overnight. It was sent out on the fastest steamships possible to the national governments that it was bound for.

General Xian has obtained the letter, and has advanced down the path towards the city of Riyadh. 10,000 troops are to stay in Abu Dhabi, while 40,000 along with General Xian are to advance. They start their march towards the city with formality, and are ready to attack at any moment.

King Alexi sat eagerly on his throne. He had heard of new nations that were joining the great True Order, and thought of how it would bolster the strength of Novskar and their relations to the north, in Scandinavia.

A courtier burst into the room, running to the throne as fast as he could. "Your majesty, news from Haraldrsalr, Bjorn Yngling would like us to meet with him, along with four other nations, to discuss the future of the order."

Looking out of his balcony at the Nordic Sunrise, Vindr Bjorn held in his hand a letter that he hoped would not only strengthen the new Moscow Pact, but propel it's nations and the True Order ideology to the forefront of the world. An Aide came up to his office and took the letter which the Vindr had crafted overnight. It was sent out on the fastest steamships possible to the national governments that it was bound for.

President Kyawah sat at his, with a letter in his hand. He read the letter, and was intrigued to say the least. 'This could be the last piece to our Nation's final Unity' he thought to himself. And also the way to propel his nation forward. This pleased him greatly. He decided upon his visiting of the gathering. Hagal......How about Đời đời người của chúng tôi? He liked the sound to it.

He had a ship prepared for his departure. He looked at New Louis, the Jewl of the Republic. He was going to a lot of foreign events lately. Would he ever get to enjoy his city for longer than a few weeks before a journey. Oh well, this was important.

The soldiers then captured a few small villages in the Arabian Empire, and pushed into Riyadh. The Ethiopian soldiers marched along with General Abel until they encounter General Xian's army. They were a few miles away from the city. Abel and the army saluted Xian's soldiers, and positioned themselves around the city of Riyadh. "Say your prayers, the real challenge is in those walls!" Abel said.

Italia hopes for a beneficial agreement that will propel our new Axis of Power past the false empires and secure our place amongst the great powers. Looking over the soldiers on the ship, he reached out with his arm, hand curled into a fist, and slammed it into his chest, where his heart would be. He shouted, "Ave Victoria! Ave Italia! Ave Caesar!"
Without any hesitation, the soldiers repeated the movements, and repeated what he had said, a chorus of "AVE!" ringing throughout the ship. Charles Albert was now the Caesar of the New Roman Empire.

In the Republic regarding North Vietnam, which involved massive debates, the descion to unite Vietnam, and annex the small country. It's old Government executed or exiled, the FSA resumed control of the country, and began the assimilation process of Vietnam.

Japanese troops started their attack from the east, pushing forth. Riyadh was highly protected, and defenses of the city were on high-intensity. The Japanese soldiers attacked in an orderly fashion, simple and calm, but excited with adrenaline pumping. They reached the city's walls and easily took down the guards protecting the city in sheer numbers. They entered in a mannerly fashion to the city, and immediately were attacked by Arabian official guards, and were in intense combat for 5 hours, pushing forwards defeating guard by guard. The towers raided, the townspeople scared for their lives, this was a truly gruesome battle being fought. When the Japanese reached a quarters way to the town center, they had only lost 352 soldiers and were moving along. "The offensive front will prevail!" General Xian shouted as he rode past. "Third left, third right, third with me!" he yelled once more. The battle went on and the Japanese were pushing forward, successful. Their biggest challenge hadn't come yet: the town center; the most guarded area of town, the most valuable area of town.

Pushing forth, the Japanese were getting very close to the center, expecting the Ethiopians to be on the other side, and to their prevail, were spotted through the Arabian army. One soldier pointed them out and reported it to General Xian. The pushing forth was hard and tough, but eventually, the soldiers arrived at the center, and began to play defensively as they awaited General Abel and his army.

Juarez approaches the leader of the United States of Asia and informs him that they will be backing out of the research agreement because of the high tensions going on in the world. "Im sorry my friend but I feel it would be the best for both of us if we terminate the agreement" says Juarez with a sorry face. He then leaves the leader and approaches the American President "Thank you for the food and the party but Cezar is quite old so we should get going, sorry about leaving early". Juarez hurries out of the party with Cezar on there way back home.

Juarez had sent a telegram ahead of there arrival telling his generals to mobilize a force to finish taking Venezuela and Columbia as the people need there freedom from the crumbling Spanish rule. Not long after a small army is sent down to clam the territories wishing to talk rather than fight. When Juarez returns he begins to write down into law what has been on his mind recently. It was a reform to the monetary reward that was to be given to investor submitters. Under this new law grants would be given out to research groups ahead of time in order to fund there efforts and allow them to work on it as a career instead of as a side job. He also began to fund the making of universities to educate people allowing them to take advantage of the new law.

The Western half of the city was sacked, and those of non-Christian descent were dragged onto the streets and beaten or killed to ensure no rebellion will rise from the city. Some of the Arabs, however, was still willing to fight, and have killed 234 soldiers total, and 5 missing. The Ethiopians shot them, and marched to the center, and saw Xian waiting for them.

"Greetings! Once again am I glad to see you," General Xian commented as General Abel walked forward. "We have conquered these lands, they are ours. We need to agree now, and I hope this process will only take but a minute." He said calmly.

For many a Century, from the dawn of the year 1810 to the now landmark year of 1840, the United States has been apart of the Coalition of Versailles, and has been a prominent member of the Alliance. While the US feels that France is a great Ally of the Republic, the rest of the members have shown themselves not to be. They have left and entered into pacts with nations of questionable ideologies, and have shunned the once honorable Treaty of Versailles.

The Coalition no longer holds power, and for that reason the United States hereby, effective immediately, withdraws from it.

It is time that the United States focused not on affairs abroad but on those here on US Soil. For too long the US has been involved in Foreign Conflicts, such as the expedition that was sent to Jerusalem, and was forced to witness them kill another Sovereign Leader. It is time that the US was no longer involved with Foreign Politics, but instead now involved only with Politics of the United States and the America's.

As you by now know, the US has exited the Coalition of Versailles. However, the US would like to ask that Mexico and the US keep up a Military and Economical Alliance, due to the good will and relations fostered over the many years of cooperation and mutual alliance. It would also be preferable for the Mexican Confederation to also withdraw from the Coalition of Versailles, but no required.

We regret to inform the grand emperor that the United States has followed the path of many other Members, and has withdrawn from the Alliance. I, on behalf of the United States, however wish to inform you that the US still considers France to be a Grand Ally. We wish to continue Economic Cooperation between our two nations, however we respectfully wish to not enter into any Military Alliance or Agreements.

France still has the right to move French Troops through US Territory, whether on the Continental USA or on a Overseas territory, and they also will continue to have the right to dock ships in US Ports.

I conquered Yemen, so I get Yemen. The East of Arabia belongs to you, including the Eastern half of Riyadh. The West of Arabia belongs to me, including the Western half of Riyadh. We shall use the border of Yemen and Oman, and draw a line from that border all the way to Riyadh. What is east of the border is yours, and what is west is mine. What are your ideas in dividing up the Peninsula?"
