So I don't think anyone is going to advance anytime soon tbh. I mean, the nations thus far are the product of 100 years of development after the Collapse. It'd probably be at least another 100 before real industrialisation comes around.

Also Apror, just a head's up, it's considered poor etiquette to post repeatedly after yourself - it's good form to edit your older posts if no one has posted after you. As a tip for this RP as well, detach yourself from your nation a bit. It's not like a game of Civ where you aim to win. We're all here to write a story and have a blast, and writing a story in a nation RP usually means that some nations have to lose. If you expect another RPer to allow that to happen to their faction in the name of a common story, then you should be willing to accept just as much. It makes the whole experience more enjoyable

Edit your prior posts mate no point filling up pages in the OOC even faster than we already are.

Honestly, I wouldn't be worried about that this early in the RP. To unify the whole RP would take probably centuries of IC time and a fair chunk of OOC time so they likely wouldn't have even considered it yet. I'd be more concerned with simply eeking out an existence this early on.

That is a fair point. I'm assuming you also have to be adjacent to a bandit clan, Feral colony, or Enemy nation to attack.

So all that being said, we need to develop to a level to where we can challenge the American military, and hopefully reunify, dipomaticaly, or otherwise, and that being said, I like the odds. I may not be powerful, I've already set up multiple trade alliances. What I really want is the destruction of a certain plantation owner in Wisconsin, but he is a Hellas way from here. I'm also alone, except the Bandit clans, who I will either slaughter, or puppet.

To answer both questions:

- Bandit Clans are only a threat if left unattended. Simply paying them off works, or the alternative is to hunt them down and exterminate them in their territory. Then, they can be either puppeted, exterminated or annexed. Puppeting would entail forcing them to fight for you as a vassal, extermination would be wiping them out to the last man, woman and child. Annexation would simply be taking the land and incorporating it, but this can only be done if it is adjacent to your nation and counts as expansion and therefore overextension if done too early.

- Government Holdouts are heavily fortified positions that are nigh unstoppable without significant force. They have all the weapons at the disposal of a 1945 United States army and are heavily fortified. They are practically invincible in the early years, but could potentially be stomped out later on. They'd likely not be thrilled about reunification, if that were to even happen in the first place. That is, of course, that certain events don't wake the sleeping American colossus from it's deathbed.
