I honestly don't have any right now, but I think that depending on how you twist the OP, I'll join it.
I'll just have to create some backstory in advance.

Permit me to observe that this thread is -dare I say- dead.

If this is dead then perhaps I can help, I’ve got some ideas for a superhero RP that I’ve been working on for some time. Essentially, it would be set in a world where all the superheroes, at least the important ones, died defending earth from an alien invasion (or something similar) and now new heroes are arising to take their place. Since the world’s currently in a vulnerable position, earth’s governments are coming together and discussing the establishment of a world government to present a united front against any future extra-terrestrial attacks. I’d ideally want this to be set in either the 70s or 80s, although technology has advanced significantly (even beyond our own in some cases) since various multinational corporations have been reverse engineering abandoned alien technology. It’d be quite dark in tone and, on a more meta (no pun intended) level, act as an allegory for the transition from the Golden and Silver Ages of comics to the Bronze and, later, Modern Ages. So, any interest?

It sounds complex but if I can still have my retired art teacher character with his powers then I'm in.
