And every half-human is stupid. Literally. They may also have a few birth defects because humans aren't supposed to screw freakin'... I don't know, kobolds.

Also, half-humans are ostracized and sometimes burned.

Short Biography: Pouli's mother, Casandaria Kay, spent much of her childhood admiring the beautiful flocks of birds that flew past her family's land. She kept this hobby throughout her life until her death, which is how she came up with the name of her son: Pouli, which means "Bird, or Little Bird" in an ancient tongue. Pouli's father was a powerful lord and a prominent bannerman of the old king. His father died in battle when he was fourteen and his mother soon followed a year later, due to "heartbreak" Pouli's elder brother, Sylvas Kallias, would put it. With his brother (Whom he has a poor relationship with) now in control of his family's wealth and land, Pouli decided it would be best if he left and make a life for himself. After changing his first name to "Loras" and going by his mother's maiden name, he trekked far from home and eventually found himself in a town square where there was a bounty for the kidnapping of two girls. He figured this would be his first step into making a new life for himself and decided to take the contract. little did he know, however; that it would change his life forever.

On a separate note, my main two ideas are a trap catboy mage, or a trap knight. You might have already guessed the former already (to a certain extent, at least), courtesy of the earlier inquiry. Since you mentioned spells could make you look like a neko-person, I could probably have it that someone put a permanent spell on the mage at some point, or that he was "cursed" ((blessed in my opinion, since cat people are cute) by a sorcerer or a demon cat (Bakeneko/Nekomata/some other mythological cat spirit reference/fantasy equivalent) or something.

As for the knight, he'd probably be from some sort of noble family. Since I got to finally finishing Konosuba recently (and beginning the new season), I was a bit inspired to accentuate certain masochistic tendencies said character might have (thanks Darkness), though of course most of my characters are a bit like that anyway, since they're written by me.

Well I'm certainly not going to make this Dark and Depressing Always And Forever.

And, yeah, those two ideas are pretty much what I expected.

Although an evil sorcerer who puts nekomimi spells on various unsuspecting people is a hilarious thought.
