I'll keep that in mind I've linked all the characters now apart from my own, which is in the OP below the application format.

By the way, an important note for anyone who wants to be a teacher - you may replace any of the current characters with your own apart from Minerva McGonnagall and Neville Longbottom. So, if you wish to become head of Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, or just teacher of Defense against the Dark Arts or Transifguration etc. etc. you may replace the current characters. Except the two names above.

Appearance/Picture Izaiah stands a good 5’9” tall, slender and overall unassuming. A regal figure, he’s rather uptight to a great degree, hair always combed, glasses always clean, and shirts pressed. His skin is rather pale, his eyes brown, and his hair likewise. Izaiah wears a locket, always, and a knit bracelet, green with the symbol of a yellow Triforce on it.

Personality: A designer, Izaiah enjoys creating as much as he does dissecting. An avid debater, he finds the back-and-forth sway to be comforting and the questions inspiring. To get on the opponents heels, to feel the rush of victory, these are the things he enjoys. Question, question, question, he loves asking them and loves to get the more perfect picture. He is demanding in those about him, academically, and finds that they should and must do their fair share.
Brief Backstory: Born in Blackpool, Izaiah’s early life was relatively unassuming. He went to school, played his games, and found that the indoors suited him far more than the outdoors. At age 11, a letter would be sent. His parents had never heard of it, though a search online actually produced some results (An idea by an eccentric Ministry of Magic employee), with a page on how very, very good the school was. It even had a Yelp page, with rave reviews (All falsified). He would be sent, though every summer Izaiah would return.

Upon one such return, he would meet a friend, an old friend, of his, a Ariana Simmons. She was so very beautiful, to him, was as radiant as the sun and whose freckles could dot the sky as stars. The two would fall in love, so close that many a time Izaiah would think on telling her his little secret. She had been a year older than he, however, and at age sixteen joined the British Army. She’d been so happy; her father had been in the Army, and he supported the decision. A month later, a car bomb would claim her life in Afghanistan.

Since then, Izaiah has become somewhat of a recluse. He would attend her funeral, as did the rest of her friends, in the cold wet afternoon. Tears did not run, however, and to a degree they still don’t. He’s still dealing with the issues, with all the issues.

Personality: Lonely, often serious and quite sad. He is intelligent and makes good grades but has some difficulty in making acquaintances. He is quite hateful but manages to conceal it, unless he reaches a tipping point.
Brief Backstory: William was born to a quite poor but happy wizarding family. He had an older sister, Rose, now an Auror, an aunt , from his father's side, that adored him, Elizabeth, and two very loving parents, Edward and Rebecca. Edward was the son of a rather uninteresting wizarding family which didn't have any sort of important or noble relatives. His mother, however, was a Muggleborn witch, which created tension both with her peers in Hogwarts and with her family, something which led to her running away from them. Edward wasn't prejudiced against Muggleborns and didn't care at all for her heritage. They eventually had a daughter and several years later a son.
William was raised adoring Harry Potter and the people who had prevented the rise of Voldemort. His parents were deeply supportive of the changes that were happening to the Ministry of Magic and both rejected Voldemort and his cult. William shared these thoughts with them and couldn't wait to go to Hogwarts, hoping to be placed in Gryffindor, like many of his heroes were.
That all changed one night, approximately ten months before he would be eligible to go to Hogwarts. He was left with his aunt for a night, as his parents had to attend a birthday party for one of their Muggle acquaintances. After a long night they decided to return home by bus. As they were approaching the house, a car, driven by a drunk driver, spiraled out of control and crashed into the bus. The bus driver lost control, crashing into a nearby bus stop and ending the lives of many people, both inside and outside the bus. Both William's parents were killed that day.
Afterwards, it was decided that he would stay with his aunt. Trying to get over the grief, his anticipation for Hogwarts diminished as did his support for the Bloodless, including his heroes. He started developing a deep hatred for the Muggles and Muggleborns, conveniently forgetting his mother's origins and both his parents' beliefs. All this he started believing in "their" name. It wasn't long before he started espousing Pure Blood Supremacist views and supporting and, to a degree, deifying Voldemort. He hoped for the day that fellow minded individuals would control the Ministry and the whole of the Wizarding world, in order to wage war against Muggles, who he thought were inferior than wizards and were oppressing them, as they couldn't reveal their existence.
He is a very good student in Hogwarts, belonging to the Ravenclaw house, and his greatest interest is history, since his dream job is that of a historian, followed by the Dark Arts. He enjoys studying, reading and writing, something which clashes somewhat with his beliefs, and has few acquaintances and even fewer friends.

Going to right a brief backstory for Ava:

It was a lonely childhood for Ava Burnside, with a father broken by thoughts of his own cowardice and a mother who spent most of her time still shatteredby the death of her closest friend (Bellatrix Lestrange) to really be the same intelligent, talkative woman she had once been. She spent most of her time, strangely, in the town outside of her family'slarge estate in Rural Yorkshire, and met very few wizards growing up: her days were in general spent amongst muggles. She learnt to play muggle games, is technically proficient, keeps up with recent current affairs when she can: all this is, surely, unbecoming of one of the wizarding worlds most fanatical blood supremacists...or it would be, if she hadn't become a skilled liar from listening and watching her family at the age of about 7.
Ava quickly learnt how tomake people believe they were her friends, while harbouring absolutely no loyalty that could get in the way of her objectives. Likewise, lies came easily to her and she began to develop stories and reasons for doing things if questioned: the shadows of the fake, switchable personality she could create were falling into place.

By the age of 12, Ava was one of the most popular students at Hogwarts, with many friends including interestingly some muggleborns. Though she will occasionally talk about how wizards should rule the world, she'll come off the topic if it seems to be causing an issue. That is, until the battle of Campbells bar.

Anton Carl Burnside's only real meeting with muggles was when he drank at the local bar, it made its own mead and did extremely good real ales ((it exists, if you're in Yorkshire ever go their, it's amazing.)) He was sitting their, quite peaceably, when he was (by his own accounts) attacked by two unidentified muggle-born wizards, and almost overwhelmed. However, two flashes of light came and two muggles soon lay on the ground: and Anton was soon in Azkaban, leaving his daughter wanting revenge...

One could go so far as to state she believes Muggles are far better than general Wizards; after all, who has gone to the Moon, reached into the stars, sought the oceans, and invented the internet? That stated, Brooke is rather pragmatic, as she enjoys Broomsticks and Quidditch immensely, even going so far as to be one of the Chasers for the Gryffindor team. She loves history, finding the Soviet Union to be, in her opinion, a great nation. This stated, Brooke is self-conscious and does not state the majority of these opinions.

Brooke would listen to how people talked on how the Muggles shouldn’t find them, how that could never be allowed, because of some unnamed idea or concept, because they felt the Muggles would be worse than Voldemort’s wrath. Confusion would turn to a clear belief that they were wrong, that the system was flawed.

Personality: Alexander is a jokeative and talkative man, unlike the stereotypical brooding slytherin that many think about. He likes helping and talking with others of all the Houses and is open to all people, seeing the value in many. Behind this, he is also a very clever and ambitious man, working to advance his status in Hogwarts while still not coming close to selfishly using people. From this, he also seeks to instill this in his students, who he will take great care to help succeed. While he does genuinely want to help students, he also has the incentive of trying to outshine his colleagues.

Alex also believes that in order to do good, as well as advance, one must be willing to work outside of the rules. He values ambition, cunning, and flexibility. He despises the fear of authority, and believes you must be willing to work outside of the rules in order to be worth something.

Backstory (Minimum 2 paragraphs): Alexander Sedwig was born to a lesser known wizarding family of strong Slytherin lineage, and a shameful history of pure blood supremacy. His parents being a part of Voldemort's Death Eaters during the First and Second Wizarding War, being raised in a further extension of Voldemort's anti-Muggle ideology. As a result of their work as Death Eaters, however, they were more distant from a young Alex, and were cold towards him in his early life. As his parents before him, Alexander was sorted into Slytherin House, and begun his schooling at the Wizarding School.

During his beginning years at Hogwarts, Alexander struggled being away from home, though eventually found comfort and belonging in his House. At first a mere extension of his parents, he as well was a pure-blood supremacist, and would casually call others mudblood out of spite. Though as his time in Hogwarts continued, he eventually lost these sentiments as he began to develop feelings for a boy in Ravenclaw. They eventually grew to be close friends, though Alex came to discover that his friend in Ravenclaw was a Half-Blood himself, and his world came tumbling down. Initially Alex brushed off his new friend, not able to reconcile his Half-Blood Status with that of his own feelings, over time, however, he learned to accept his Ravenclaw friend and that he was a Half-Blood. That was until the Second Wizarding War.

Upon the outbreak of the Second Wizarding War, strains were further put on Alex as his parents pushed their Pure Blood Supremacy on him, and his feelings towards his Half Blood Friend. Upon the Battle of Hogwarts, Alex initially opted to side with his parents. This was until his own mother had caused the death of his friend in Ravenclaw. Filled with anger, he disarmed his own mother and cast the killing curse on her, resulting in her death. Knowing what he had done, he started working with the opposition, and fought against the Death Eaters until the battle's end. While initially scrutinized for using the killing curse, Alexander was given pardon due to his intense regret for using it in the grave situation.

He finished his education at Hogwarts, and began to teach at the school. He taught transfiguration, and upon becoming an Animagus, taught about animagi and is known to tutor students in Runeology. He eventually rose to become the Head of Slytherin House, keeping pure-blood sentiment in check in the House, and making sure all who can fit in Slytherin are welcome.
