CHARACTER PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
Character First Name: Myra
Character Surname: Bones
Character Title: Miss
Character Gender: Female
Species : Half-Dragon, human in appearance
Age: 19 (20 on Sept 16, 2017)
Appearance: Thin, with pale skin and a smattering of freckles across her cheeks, her dark hair and eyes tend to stand out the most. She stands 5'3". She's built up some strength since the arrival in Galli and, though lithe, she's added some tone to her arms and legs.

Character Occupation or Specialty: Oracle
Character's biggest strength: Her intelligence, which is reflective of her father's species.
Character's worst flaw: Her self-consciousness which manifests as a result of feeling abandoned by her father. She's painfully shy due to it. Myra is a natural introvert.
OBJECTIVES AND GOALS
Primary Objective:
Myra's heart seeks the moment she's reunited with her father. At first, she merely wanted to prove to him that she was worthy of his time and attention. But, once he was taken from her after the jump to Galli, she found herself wasting countless hours seeking him. A fear intertwines itself with this quest: the perception that she will never be good enough to be worthy. As a result, she pours herself wholly into finding ways in which to improve.
Minor Goals:
- Find a qualified therapist. Myra recognizes that her low self-esteem is unhealthy. It sets her back. She seeks to find ways to deal with the underlying issues, but she can't put her finger on what exactly initiated it. It's not something she can do alone.
- Get a grip on her newfound independence. She constantly struggled to have it before the jump. She sought out ways to assert herself in her apartment, only to be defeated by her father's penchant for order and having everything set according to his tastes. The sudden shift... and the lonely apartment... were at first a refreshing change. This first caused her to live in a pig style, the ultimate expression of her sense of freedom. Then, as denial gave way to grief over her loss, she began doing her father's chores. Now she's gone 'round to the extreme opposite: everything is overly tidy because it must be "perfect" for when he comes home one day. Part of achieving this particular minor goal is an effort to learn how to set her own boundaries, having never set ones on her own.
- Learn to defend herself better. Myra's only real skill is with a staff, which her father insisted she learn. She never got around to bladed weapons training with him. Her fist fighting skills are on par with school yard scraps.
- Get Dweezle out of her head. Get Dweezle out of her head. Get Dweezle out of her head. The one thing her father did that annoyed her most was ask her riddles. These were "for realsies" games. A wrong answer brought about stern rebuke. The Guardian, upon learning her skill with them (after so many years of practice with dear ol' dad), bothers her when it's bored. The questions are drawn from a cosmic scale, which really isn't fair, and she never guesses the answer right despite using the Gatehouse to ferret out clues. (This ties in with later character dev.)
- Collect shit her father might find interesting. Sadly, this usually results in her finding something and then deciding to hoard it for herself. A leftover from her "trinket collecting to rebel into independence" days, this collection of "junk" started off in a drawer in the spare bedroom. It progressed to the closet. Now it's the only room in the apartment that's untidy to the eye. Yet her hoard is organized, in her opinion, and she knows the location of each item in the pile.
- Open that pickle jar gathering dust in the cabinet above the fridge. It's contents are obscured by tape and dark glass. She's never been able to figure out what's inside. Her father shut the lid on something precious, she's sure of it, and without him there to rant at her for touching it, she strives to complete the task without leaving evidence of tampering. (This also ties in with later character dev.)
- Journaling. Writing. Keeping her frustrations at bay by vanishing into her own ink-and-paper stories. She looks for new things to write about, be it something Giovenith has drawn or Marcus has made, or events at the Building. As a result, she's started her own Building newspaper... which nobody reads. She seeks to chronicle everything.
MUNDANE SKILLS
- List Mundane skills here
- Drive a vehicle (wheeled, not the best driver off road)
- Researching (the riddles games have granted her potent knowledge of obscure and useless facts that nobody would ever give two-shits about)
- Fishing (sucks at it)
- Polyglot, picks up languages quickly (approved on prior app)
- Fist fighting (only wins if she's super-pissed off and, so far, she's only won against girls her own size or smaller. She gets her ass handed to her by mortal peers normally)
- Cooking (it's meh, nothing fancy)
SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND TALENTS
- Ability 1 and Points Spent: Writing (4 - OP granted 2 freebie points here in order to spend points in something useful to the setting)
- Ability 2 and Points Spent: Interview (2)
- Ability 3 and Points Spent: Gatehouse Control (8 - per OP. This requires access to an Orb or Gatehouse, or intervention via Dweezle or another Guardian. Useless otherwise)
- Ability 4 and Points Spent: Staff (2)
- Ability 5 and Points Spent: Swordsmanship (0)
OPTIONAL SUPERNATURAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Ability 1: Innate resistance to magic, uncontrollable. (Draconic ability)
Power Level: 5
Strengths: It takes powerful magic to affect her, and she can not be physically manipulated through it. It gives her a bit of immunity regarding magic-caused illness as well.
Weaknesses: The resistance only applies to things which can affect her body. For example, if someone uses magic to drop a car on her, the magic controlling the car can't be resisted. Her skin can't be burned by a magical fireball, but her clothing can catch on fire as a secondary effect, thus she takes damage from the burning clothing.
Restrictions: Uncontrollable, which means healing spells or potions are useless; she can't turn it on or off.
- Ability 2: "Durability (?)(Draconic ability)
Power Level: Unknown. This is developing through play.
Strengths: She isn't too sure. So far, she was able to survive impact damage while driving, emerging without a scratch (though, IIRC, she had a bloody nose?)
Weaknesses: We haven't found out yet.
Restrictions: Other than not knowing what it is, how it works, or if she can control or (or it's just innate)?
- Ability 3: Draconic ability
Power Level: Unknown
Strengths: Uknown
Weaknesses: Unknown
Restrictions: unknown - OP will assign this power later through gameplay. I'm just supposed to keep the slot marked here so he remembers. *shrugs*
- Ability 4: Appraisal aka Innate Greed (Draconic ability)
Power Level: 1
Strengths: Just an innate sense of value for gems and precious metals. She can't determine actual worth. She just has a hunch that it's worthy of her hoarding room.
Weaknesses: This seems like a useful power. It isn't. It's a manifestation of the darker parts of a dragon's personality. It drives her to check the spare room every day and every night, and to obsess over adding more to it. The level isn't high enough to drive her to covet/steal (yet). It prevents her from parting with even one scrap already hoarded, however.
Restrictions: It doesn't work on paintings etc, or items you wouldn't normally find outside a dragon's hoard. - Ability 5: Oracle
Power Level: I have no fucking clue. OP, you tell me.
Strengths: Again, OP? So far, I known the Guardians altered her mind, enhancing it for the job. She can "see" glimpses of future things, but those are just "what can happens", like seeing the different ways the arrow of time may branch. She has an implanted tracer rather than needing to carry one. She can handle a Gatemaster's orb. Only an Oracle can see the "invisible" workstation and manipulate data input devices.
Weaknesses: The player running this character is filled with the nearly overwhelming desire to kick the shit out of the OP for glossing over the finer points and instead just being told "It's a CoOP tool power so we can operate Gates and do shit in the IC."
Restrictions: *rolls eyes* OP? Limited to Gatehouse/Gate stuff?
MAGICAL OR SPECIAL ITEMS
List:
- Gatemaster's Orb (used only for Gates, and not actually her own personal device) - (8) (?)
- Long staff
- Chirping Cricket gun as a side arm when on duty (No skill in firearms means it knocks her on her ass. Anyone can point and shoot these things)
- Hoard crap. Everything from common coins from Earth to silver candlesticks and big swords too heavy for her to lift. Just make it junk in parody of an actual hoard.
- Demens Chosen uniform
- A locket from her mother that has certain properties (2). She is unaware of what the magic is, and she won't allow the magic users to touch it, so it's pretty much just a remnant from her old character app.
EQUIPMENT
List:
Oh fuck me running. This character has been in play for ages.
- Cigarettes and lighter
- Typical crap found in a small purse
- Glasses
- Books
- Computer
- Lots of journals, and the paper, notebooks, pens/pencils that go along with it
- Clothing, food, and furnishings already in her apartment
- Just shoot me. I'm tired now. She doesn't have anything magical stashed anywhere unless you decide to put it there, except the Dust Bunny.

(Be detailed please. You must explain how your character acquired their skills, talents, abilities, and special items. Wrap your primary objectives and goals into it.)
Education or Training:
Character Background/Biography: Her fierce determination remains cloaked but, when backed into a corner and given low odds, she comes out swinging.

(What's the inside of their apartment look like. Note: no balconies, please.) It's reflective of her father's taste, not her own. I'll write more about it later.
Link to RP examples: (this MUST be a DIRECT LINK to your IC post in an RP, NOT a link to the RP thread itself. If you don't have examples, make your biography good.)
IMPORTANT FINAL STEP:
One paragraph that sums up your character. This paragraph is what we'll use on your player tab on the first page of the thread. This MUST be brief. Your tab will contain a link to your application so people will have full details.

WIP. I'm tired. I'll copy crap from the old app later and update it to reflect her time spent in the setting.
