I wonder if anyone will ever dissect a paper cast member to discover that they aren't actually paper golems. Pippa-Michelle is an example of far-superior magic.

Sure do!

A little happy, but she couldn't totally relate because they can talk and are all considerably smarter than her. Below fleshies but still above her. Golems are servile creatures by nature and thus don't give much thought to the implications of their own existence outside of their capacity to serve, so it'd be hard for her to feel any particularly elated sense of "kinship" with the cutouts, as to feel kinship you must first have a relatively advanced grasp of your state as a unique individual so as to compare it to others. One's own uniqueness doesn't come into play a lot when you're servile.

It is true. I've only come across one work that ever made reference to that issue.

Hey all. Sorry I keep disappearing. I'm doing fine. I keep falling into funks and I struggle to motivate myself to post. But I don't want to give up on any of this. Sort of in a weird state of flux, uncertain on what to do with my life and just taking small steps to what I wanna do. I know I'm getting a generous amount of time and I appreciate it, but I also feel bad for taking so long. I feel guilty in taking so long, but I know I shouldn't beat myself up over it.

Currently, characters are snatched out of their respective dimensions seconds away from death by the OP or CoOP characters.

PL isn't a military RP, however, it does revolve around a war, if that makes sense. Characters do not need to be soldiers though, everyone will contribute with their own unique skills, and there is room for non-war adventure.

The archive is, as Tilt said, a WIP, but so far it lists all characters who have been applied and accepted, but not necessarily the ones that are active. Also, some active characters are currently not listed in the archive.

He has mastered multiple styles and his considerable experience gained from numerous duels and battles means he is a seasoned swordsman. His enemies will find him incredibly strong, agile and fast with superb reaction times and coordination. Decades of practice with swords results in Sabre being able to immediately adopt to a different bladed weapon though with much less skill than if he was wielding a sword which would often take up to a minute at most for the more exotically crafted before he fully adapted.
    Weaknesses: His arms will be unable to manage the strain of sustained peak speed swordplay depending on the size of the sword, in this case, the powerful Phantom Blade which forces him to make use of certain swordplay styles. His body will become exhausted after sustained high-intensity combat which Sabre is only able to maintain for up to half a hour before withdrawing to recover for a brief period of time which could be mere seconds up to minutes.

BACKGROUND


Education or Training: Temple of the Sword Saints

Character Background/Biography: My birth coincided with the year and hour of the Dragon. My world was called 'Tenno'. It was a place where my people, the long living Elvin, flourished and where serpentine dragons slithered beneath the waves. I was destined to be great and my parents realised this. Both were distinguished warriors from the old wars against the greenskin hordes which meant they had connections. Soon I was whisked away as a baby to the fabled temple of the sword saints in the northern mountains.

At the temple I learnt the way of the sword and the way of the warrior from the monks. They had large expectations for me for I displayed an almost natural aptitude for the sword. For decades I studied and practised until I reached the age of initiation. Alongside my peers I was sent on a quest into the deep forests beneath the mountains to retrieve hidden swords from past saints. Many of us fell to the claws of the dangerous beasts that lurked there. But I was the alpha. I returned to the temple scarred but wielding the Phantom Blade. I had now earned the position of swordmaster and was subsequently enlisted into the army of the Emperor.

More decades passed. I became a revered and recognised swordsman within the army. I had proved myself against the barbarian hordes, fought dragons and extinguished malicious spirits. They called me a sword saint now despite the tradition that sword saints be of an elder age of 170 years. I felt invincible. Yet the gods did not recognise my mastery of the sword, they instead chose to make me meet my end. It was supposed to be a routine perimeter patrol of the great walls that protected our beautiful nation when my contigent of my best warriors were beset upon suddenly by a mighty greenskin horde. They had inevitably become cunning over the years and had prepared enough arrows to blot out the sun itself. My brave men were massacred one by one and eventually, even I could not repel the hail of arrows that now came from all sides. At that moment I felt true anguish and anger at myself for being a weakling. And then everything abruptly blanked out and I...awoke in a very much peculiar place.
