The character looks good but you're still using an old application form so there's stuff missing. I think that's what's making it hard on you, and probably frustrating the hell out of you, too.
OBJECTIVES AND GOALS
Primary Objectives are what drive's your character's actions and their part of the plot. When not engaged in stories, these are what occupy your character's thoughts or keep them busy. Examples include: acting on a desire to become a powerful and respected leader; attempting to overcome some horrible thing in the past which hinders the character on a day-to-day basis; seeking to break out their shell by overcoming profound shyness (getting involved with stories); comping to terms with a major flaw that inhibits the character from reaching full potential; etc.
Minor Goals. These should be an undercurrent for your character when they are engaged in stories or on their free time. They are what your character does to aid them in achieving their Primary Objectives. Examples include: acquiring weapons and becoming proficient with each one; improving sundered relations with a companion; improving their reading comprehension; mastering news spells; researching a cure for a plague; etc.
Objectives such as "making friends" or "finding love" are NOT acceptable. Please put much though into your character's objectives - they are what flesh out your character and one of the most important aspects necessary to portray the character as 3D.

Minor Goals:
Video games give us a template and an objective. In the case of Monster Hunter, a game where the player tries to outdo all the other players, the primary objective for players online is not to defeat the most monsters but to reach the highest hunter rank. That's the storyline carried out online by NPC characters. This objective won't work in PL because our storyline won't support it. Period. Hunter rank is meaningless and that makes this objective impossible to reach and frustrating to strive for.
To find his objective in life, look into what makes him tick: He was raised by hunter parents and this is the only life he knows. Perhaps he's been living in their shadows, never quite able to achieve their level of success? He has a thirst to prove himself, obviously.
But he's not some mindless video game character. Your other objectives are parroting the game itself. "Collect stuff and rise in rank". You've got to think outside the box. In the game, your strength is determined by the things you've collected. In PL, a character's strength is determined by the experiences they've had and the amount of involvement you put into it beyond having your character just sitting around and talking about life.
Primary Objective: Become the best hunter he can be in order to prove to his parents and to the hunters guild that he can stand on his own and sustain himself, but also prove that he's worthy of being called a hunter. (This can lead to all sorts of character development moments, especially when he fails a mission and torments himself by thinking maybe he's not worthy of the title at all.)
Minor Goals: 1. Learn how to cook. 2. Use his ability to fish, gather herbs and mushrooms, etc as a means to support himself and contribute to his new "guild". 3. Collect more powerful weapons to aid him in his fight against monsters so that, one day, he can return to his dimension and prove once and for all that he's not his mother or father but his own person worthy of renown. 4. Learn to craft more items, and perhaps learn to smith so he can create his own weapons and armor from monster materials.
This opens the door for your character to integrate into the game. It gives him real goals to reach. It gives him an emotional reason to be alive and keep doing what he does day after day.
In PL, the monster's strength isn't determined by his size. You can't easily kill a mouse with a broadsword. The bigger the weapon, the more cumbersome it is. The more clunky the armor, the slower we move. And when the really big monsters come into play, they're usually there for reasons other than "something to kill".
I run an alien creature which looks somewhat like an Abyssal Lagiacrus minus the fish tail but behaves like an Inagami when in a foul mood, by the way.
