When I think lumberjack I think of some guy with a beard out in the woods with an axe. Logger has different connotations attached to it.

It's because lumberjacks evolved into loggers.

Would it be fair if my character was strong, had high composure, was good at using blunt weapons, could build shelters and make fires but was slow, has poor flexibility, is bad at sneaking and moving around without making noise that would attract infected and had a large appetite or should I add more weaknesses?

How much ammo do you have? Don't want a super well stocked guy running around. Also, his weaknesses seem more like personality quirks, and while acceptable does he have any physical weaknesses? Such as not being good at some things and the like?

Munitions is enough to last him a few engagements (think about 4-5 magazines of 30 rounds for the rifle and 3-4 magazines of 15 rounds for the M9). He was able to restock before he was forced out of Chicago.

I plan on him being solid physically, but mentally weak. As the RP progresses, the shit that he'll see will stick to his brain, and he'll have an incredibly hard time adjusting.

Speaking of said application..

Can someone list some logging towns in New England, or the Midwest I could use in the app?

I'm done, but I used a fictional town [Only has 100 people] is that alright?

Shouldn't be that big of a deal. I use the nonexistent town of Redwood Falls in most of my apps anyways as a running joke/reference and nobody's ever had an issue with it.

Done with my apps. I rushed them a bit, but apps were never my strong suit anyways.

Name: Clement Willoughby

Nationality: USA

Ethnicity: White

Age/DOB: 35 (January 27, 1980)

Pic/Description: Clement

Occupation: Psychiatrist

Immunity: None

Equipment:
  • Wide-rimmed glasses
  • Burgundy t-shirt
  • Dull kitchen knife
  • Black dress shoes and blue jeans
  • Wallet, with family photos, various gift cards, debit card, driver’s license, two quarters, two five dollar bills, and one ten dollar bill
  • A can of Bush’s baked beans
  • Louisville Slugger

Skills: He has a higher sense of empathy. From his explorations of the human mind, he has become more charismatic and is somewhat of a shoulder to cry on. He finds it easy to help people with their emotional problems, and feels they are overlooked.

Weakness: He is clinically depressed and is prone to panic attacks. Clement is also far-sighted, and requires glasses. He doesn't know how to fight, having been in one his entire life. Clement also could not shoot the broad side of a barn with a shotgun.

Personality:Always wanted to know more about the human psyche and solve other’s problems. He himself is somewhat of a cynic. Is ambitious, and has big dreams of returning to his family again. He has problems staying loyal to any one person, romantically and otherwise. Clement also has a fondness for children and the elderly, carrying an extreme amount of empathy for others (even horrible criminals). He is mostly an atheist, but does believe somewhat in a higher power. Clement could be described by others as disconnected.

Likes: Enjoys the Backstreet Boys, and enjoyed massages. He likes the outdoors and hiking as well. He finds clowns hilarious, except for the intentionally scary ones.

Dislikes: He does not like bad drivers, reckless drivers, or tailgaters. All frustrate him to no end.

Fears: He is terrified of needles, and is scared of the uncertainty of death. He fears the unknown and uncertainty of the world.

Bio: Clement grew up in Kansas, with two rowdy brothers and another wild older sister. Him and his older brothers would often playfight, or just screw around with each other like siblings do. They lived in the country, so not many other kids lived nearby. His sister was a different story; she was always the most popular at school compared to her three brothers, and had a severe case of tomboy. Clement’s parents spanked their children if they were rowdy, but still loved them.

Clement’s sister began growing distant in high school; compared to her happier brothers, she started going out a lot to sneak drugs. She was a bad driver, from what Clement’s trips in her car could tell him. Eventually, she ran over a child when she was seventeen and prosecuted. Clement went on to become a psychiatrist, his brothers doing their own things with their own families. Soon enough, Clement’s sister was released from jail.

He married at 29, never having wanted a kid. His sister started crashing at him and his wife’s place in Texas; before eventually, she went out and didn’t come back. Clement found her at the hospital, having overdosed on pills at a bar. She died right in front of him and his wife, and a wave of guilt swept over him when he realized he was glad her misery had ended. He became colder and threw himself into his work, before his wife got pregnant.

He stayed at home more often, finding a new reason to live. He adored his son. But his marriage only fell. They were never sexually active, and the light they once had only disappeared. Clement was caught in an affair with the neighbor’s wife, and him and his own flailed for divorce. He moved to Chicago, after finding a psychiatric job there. Eventually, he let his cousin Graham and Graham’s girlfriend, Elizabeth move in with him to help pay rent. Clement kept to himself mostly, and Graham paid his rent on time. It was a damn good deal. Eventually, Clement began to get over his divorce and found himself two new friends. When the infection struck, he was home with Graham, and Elizabeth cane down shortly after. They have been stuck in Clement’s apartment since the city was locked down, and just now are beginning to make more frequent trips outside.

Name: Graham Willoughby

Nationality: USA

Ethnicity: Black

Age/DOB: 26 (October 17, 1988)

Pic/Description: Graham

Occupation: Private Investigator

Immunity: Partial

Equipment:
  • Colt 1911 (One 17 round magazine inside, three 17 round magazines under belt)
  • Portable Nokia camera (fits in jacket pocket)
  • Green jacket
  • Gray t-shirt
  • Toenail clippers
  • Electric beard trimmer
  • Clement’s hiking backpack
  • Jeans and work boots
  • Wallet with various items inside
  • Crowbar

Skills: Graham is an alright shot, by any means. He’s no marksman, but he can hit a moving target from a yard or so away. He is very capable of sneaking around. He takes some damn good photos as well. His personality can be endearing to some, and he is in good shape.

Weakness: His previous years of drinking have given him anxiety and guilt over nothing at all. His personality can be a put off to many people, who do not like his optimism. He had never been in an actual gunfight before, and wouldn't much know what to do during one. If adrenaline were to take him over, he would most likely lose focus and freak out.

Personality: A prejudiced man who is trying his best to redeem himself. He can be obsessive but is really just trying to help people. Graham is idealistic, and as such an optimist. He is a Catholic, like his parents were. He is mostly collected as an individual, if a bit a bit awkward. Has always wanted to be a detective, but never found the time for it, instead playing out scenarios in his head of solving cases and sleuthing about. He has always enjoyed reading criminal files and watching documentaries on police work, but never joined the academy. Graham also has a remorseful sense of entitlement. Graham daydreams often.

Likes: He has a fascination with space and the unknown, unlike Clement. He enjoys criminal case files, photography, and talking with other people. He also really likes that Oatmeal with the dinosaur eggs, and would love to find another box before he dies.

Dislikes: He doesn't like having to hurt other people, or seeing others injured. He hates nagging. He also hates smoking, but can understand a person trapped in it.

Fears: Graham is afraid of dying, first off. He has begun to doubt his own Catholicism, and has turned away somewhat from the faith, which leads to his fear of death. He is terrified of reavers, and is also scared of being completely and genuinely alone.

Bio: Graham was born in Massachusetts, an only child. He was often spoiled by his parents, and lauded by classmates. He grew up with sense of idealism, which led to his dreams of space travel, photography, and detective work. He found himself solving simple mysteries, like where his pencil had disappeared to. In high school, he started drinking. When he was seventeen he began to take drink more and more, before having never thought himself to be an alcoholic.

He wasn’t heavy or regular at first, but the drink got to him eventually. He began shoplifting, but was stopped after a good push around from his friends, telling him to get his act together. He stayed clean for a while, but his parents soon grew more and more absent from his life. He got into a car crash while drunk one night, almost ruining his life. He was put into rehab for a while by his parents, sending them reeling into debt. They were cold with him for a while, but eventually they got over it.

The rehab helped Graham tremendously. He became a model student soon enough, headed off to college. He gained many friends and things began to look up, but unfortunately, old habits die hard. At 24 he began drinkinh again. His friends were fighting their own battles, and his parents had died from disease. His last known relative was Clement, and the alcohol had more or less found him again. It wasn’t like he hadn’t been looking for it, however. He met Elizabeth on a dating website, and it was love at first site. Eventually, she began to live with him in his apartment. She helped him get away from alcoholism some, and eventually the two decided to move on to

He moved to Chicago eventually, him and his girlfriend Elizabeth moving into Clement’s apartment. His interest in detective work peaked again, and he used his bachelor’s degree to land a Private Investigator job with quite a few clients. He bought a camera and began to solve cases. His idealism caught up to him, and he tried to drop alcohol again and dwindled it down to a case a werk. He’s still trying to stop completely, but hasn't done so yet. Something about alcohol had him addicted, despite his inherent and current happiness.

Then, the outbreak began.

  • Long sleeve white shirt
  • Jeans and sneakers
  • Police baton
  • Clement’s other hiking backpack
  • Charter Arms Off Duty Snub-Nosed (with four .38 Special inside)
  • M16A4 - 1x magazine, with 7x rounds in it
  • GPS
  • iPhone
  • Apple Headphones
  • Inhaler

Skills: Elizabeth is very persuasive. She can hide well, and despite her asthma is moderately athletic. She tries very hard (and is somewhat successful) to be compassionate. She’s very good at distracting infected as well.

Weakness: She is a bit weak, and finds it hard to connect with a lot of people despite her want of supporting them. She has asthma, and as such finds it hard to run from the infected and prefers to hide. Some people find her completely unlikable, which she also resents.

Personality: Elizabeth is a realist by nature. She’s a supportive person, and is also Catholic like Graham. She can be impulsive and judgemental of others, and is quite resentful of that trait. She is self-deprecating, and has a sense of wit and caring. She is also confrontational, and finds herself arguing with people over trivial things. She is seemingly quite happy.

Likes: Enjoys Johnny Cash and his music. She also likes to wear baseball hats, and is particularly fond of Santa hats. She sometimes reads, but not as often as she used to. Her favorite drink is Fanta Pineapple, despite the fact that she knows it’s bad for her. Has always liked the idea of the world being submerged in water. As such, she enjoys swimming. She likes bobbleheads and PEZ dispensers as well.

Dislikes: She doesn't really like metal music, and finds Internet culture annoying. She hates loud parties, and tacky calendars. She’s never been much of a fan of the political wars either.

Fears: She is afraid of what other people think about her, and being torn apart by infected. She’s also a little afraid of bugs, especially spiders.

Bio: Elizabeth was born in North Carolina country, where she lived a relatively normal life. She had one older sister and one younger brother, and she was popular amongst other kids and teens. Her parents were supportive of her and whatever she wanted to do, but drifted away after she went to law school. She never really made much contact with her family afterwards, but she called and visited during Christmas and Thanksgiving. Eventually, she got a job at a law firm and met Graham on an online dating website. They instantly clicked despite their glaring differences.

Eventually, her boss asked her if she’d like to come with him to Chicago, and she accepted after discussing it with Graham. They moved in with Clement, and she continued working with him for a few months while Graham did work as a private investigator. Eventually, the infection happened and the law firm was overrun. Elizabeth barely made it back home, where the trio decided to work on what to do next for the next month.

He moved to Seattle eventually, him and his girlfriend Elizabeth moving into Clement’s apartment.

Name: Elizabeth Powell

Nationality: USA

Ethnicity: White

Age/DOB: 26 (November 17, 1988)

Pic/Description: Elizabeth

Occupation: Law Firm Assistant

Immunity: Immune

Equipment:
  • Tar Heels baseball cap
  • Purple bubble vest
  • Long sleeve white shirt
  • Jeans and sneakers
  • Police baton
  • Clement’s other hiking backpack
  • GPS

Eventually, her boss asked her if she’d like to come with him to Seattle, and she accepted after discussing it with Graham. They moved in with Clement, and she continued working with him for a few months while Graham did work as a private investigator. Eventually, the infection happened and the law firm was overrun. Elizabeth barely made it back home, where the trio decided to work on what to do next for the next month.

ACCEPTED, but know that going to the hospital is a very bad idea.

I think she has too many weapons on her person. I say keep a knife and the axe. Otherwise I have no other complaints.

He used to be inside hospital. Now he's not, for obvious reasons.

General idea is that hospital is to not be approached. :p

If you think about it all the exposed people were taken to the hospital, and once they turned it would have become a bloodbath.

Yes, it seems that quarantine inside a hospital is not the best thing.

While the city wasn't officially quarantined until a week after exposure the National Guard was restricting traffic into and out. The riots would have been the first thing to happen, and the Infected didn't show up until Day 9. That and keep in mind the RP starts on Day 31. I also don't think British is an ethnicity. Truthfully, I'm not a 100% sold but you seem to be a decent writer so I'll give you a chance. ACCEPTED, pending tweaks to the bio.

My bad, somehow confused Chicago for Seattle. I'll fix it real quick.

Most pressing issue is that we already have several characters with military training. That and Evander is armed to the teeth given how much ammo he's carrying. I do appreciate the effort put into the equipment section but as of right now Evander won't be accepted without reworking. Jenelle, however, is more reasonable. Lastly, your posts in your RP Example were rather skimpy (same with your bio) so if accepted please work on that.

Updates app: I changed his profession from being in the US army to being a game warden, downsized the ammo stockpile to 38 .22 rounds, 17 12 gauge buckshot shells and 8 12 gauge slug shells, expanded the bio, and also added some backup clothes.

Anything else need to be done?
