Bio: Phil was born in Cincinnati, or perhaps it was Indianapolis? In any case, Phil never knew his father, and his mother, while she did her best, could never seem to make ends meet. This often left Phil to his own devices, and living in the inner city, that invariably brought Phil into contact with the wrong crowds. It wasn’t long before Phil was just another hooligan in a city chocked full.

It wasn’t long before Phil was committing petty crime, and with his natural charm he was able to get away with a lot. However, shortly after he turned fourteen, Phil’s mother passed away thrusting him into the unforgiving foster care system. Looking back, Phil could say without a doubt those were the darkest moments of his life, but at rock bottom there is only one way to go, up. After nearly two years of bouncing around between foster homes, Phil had come to learn he had a gift for manipulation. For example, Phil found that if he stole something from one of his foster siblings, he could effortlessly pit his victim against someone else. With that knowledge in mind Phil left the foster system behind and struck out on his own.

Phil traveled from city to city for several years, using his youthful appearance and a perceived naiveté to scam people into giving him what he wanted. But, like everyone does, Phil grew up both physically and in a sense professionally. He moved on from simple cons, to more grandiose long cons, moving across the Midwest like a plague. However, it wasn’t long before the karma caught up to Phil and he ended up doing time for his nefarious deeds. Shortly before the outbreak, Phil was released from Stateville Correctional Facility, and moved to the Windy City, having learned little from his time in prison.

Now that the apocalypse has arrived, Phil has returned to his old ways. Trying to sell phony cures for the infection and scamming survivors out of what little they have.

The up-and-coming band XIII Leagues was scheduled to perform at Lincoln Hall on Saturday, August 1, however, with the attack on O'Hare and the subsequent decline in human civilization the show has been put off indefinitely. Having survived thus far the band has taken refuge in their former venue but have little in the way of escape, or lasting supplies for that matter, and are generally content with spending their last days on Earth enjoying the little things in life, namely the stock of booze on hand. Despite the complaints of their manager the band is going nowhere with the Infected lurking just outside the door.

• Call of the Wild

Animal activist Ashley Leigh (27) and her boyfriend Jeremy Jones (30) have setup camp near Lincoln Park Zoo with the goal of releasing the animals trapped inside, believing firmly that any fate is better than slowly starving inside the cruel enclosures. Unfortunately, the Infected have since wandered into the zoo, and the couple is plainly aware that their plan will not work without some outside help. So far their pleas to save the animals have been derided. Maybe someone, somewhere, will give a hand to those with none.
GOAL:

- Speak with Ashley Leigh.
- Find the enclosure keys inside the main office of the zoo.
- (OPTIONAL) Loot the enclosure keys from an Infected zookeeper.
- Release the animals.

OUTCOME:

The animals were successfully freed to the wilds of Chicago. A reasonably large group of Infected were brutally killed by Harambe the Gorilla, thus saving the activist, before he and the other apes disappeared into the city.
