Charlotte still looked scared about the idea of Mara growing wings, and as he finished healing Tlaloc, he flew behind Mara and examined her "wings". The sharp, tiny bumps on her back were black and wicked-looking. His expression showed no surprise or concern, though he did seem curious as to why this cute, bubbly little child was seemingly growing demon wings. "Soon you will be able to begin learning how to fly, Miss Mara. I would be very happy to teach you, if you want," Lux offered.
Xavier saw this as well, and concern showed very much on his face. This sweet little girl was going to be a demon? At least that's what he saw, when she turned to Charlotte, and he saw the black stumps on her back. What sorts of dark powers was she hiding? Even more disturbing than that, who were her parents? Charlotte had denied being her parent, though Mara did look a little bit like her. Charlotte had attested that to her being her little sister, but then that meant that neither of Mara's parents were known. One of them was a demon, however, and this part made him nervous.
Meanwhile, Charlotte saw the look on Xavier's face, and her hands curled into fists. This was exactly what she'd been afraid of. They didn't even know the truth about her daughter, and they were already judging her, silently, because of what she was.
They have no right to judge her... I don't care what they think of me, it's probably all true, but it's not Mara's fault! She's just a little girl, it's not like you can blame her for what her father did! It's not her fault!

"...No, thank you," Charlotte replied, her voice strained as she tried to keep from snapping at him. As if he would actually care if she told him the truth. None of the angels would. Xavier looked down at Charlotte's hands, and he saw that she was tense. Did Mara's excitement make her nervous? Or was she tired from the fighting? She seemed very angry about something, however. "...Charlotte, are you alright? Do you want me to help you back to your dorm? You look exhausted. Or is something on your mind?" he inquired, as he remained next to Tlaloc while Lux watched Mara.
"Oh! So she is an angel as well!" Lux answered Mara kindly, before showing her his own wings. They glittered cheerfully, since now the battle was over and his body was able to relax. They seemed almost aware of Mara's presence, and thus the tiny stars inside seemed to dance for her, and even zipped around and with each other. "I am one myself. So perhaps we are related!" He then used one wing, which was soft like feathers, and he stretched it forward to tickle Mara with it.
"Don't let him get me, Mr. Cade," she whispered, clinging to Cade's leg and peeking out at Lux. "Don't wanna get tickled more. Don't wanna."Castle Crashers wrote:Charlia wrote:Mara grinned, until more of his words registered and a shadow crossed her face.
"...Why does everyone keep thinking she's my mommy?" she muttered. If she were to be perfectly honest, she had no idea what she was saying. The words just kept coming to her, a little voice whispering This is what you need to say. "I think you're scaring her a bit, y'know? An' I know why. 'Cause she's seventeen, and I'm only four, but if she were my mommy that would mean she was thirteen when I was born. An' that's too young to be a mommy, isn't it?"
He realized his slippage of words, and nodded. He hadn't meant to say that, and while Charlotte did look a lot older than Mara, he knew it wasn't right to accuse anyone out of the blue for that...that was just a word that'd come to mind, is all. "Ah, of course, my apologies. Just a slip of tongue, is all." He replied, still feeling a bit embarrassed by his mistake. She then turned her attention to the angel, Lux, ignoring Cade entirely. Mara's eyes sparkled, and the twinges of pain were completely forgotten as she grinned. "You're my hero, Mr. Cade!" she declared, nodding firmly--and still hiding behind him, peeking out at Lux nervously. "So there!" she shouted at Lux, giggling. "You can't get me! He was caught a bit by surprise when Mara suddenly ran behind him and clung to his leg, pleading him to stop Lux from tickling her further. He couldn't help but be glad he'd chosen to not wear shorts or anything like that, since he didn't know what skin contact would do to the girl. He wasn't totally in control of his powers, after all, and his touch was known to be deadly. She didn't seem to be exactly human, but it was better to be safe than sorry. He smiled, though, and looked down to her with a content expression and a soft chuckle. "I will protect you, then," He announced to her, with somewhat of a playful look. "Protecting innocent children from tickles is the biggest responsibility someone like I can have!"

Theia
She was standing there trembling from the overwhelming fear and anxiety that had made its way into her mind, and when the deity spoke, she seemed unresponsive. Just below a whisper, her shaky voice repetitively muttered the same phrase.
"I don't wanna die..."
Her fate was much worse than that, however, as she was doomed to fade from existence and be forgotten by both death and memory. And what she just felt was a taste of what was to come.
It truly scared her.

With a cry, he flung himself at Azazel, slashing with all his strength at the other boy's leg. The strike was restless, though, and easy enough for Azazel to see coming. He sidestepped, and managed to wound Lucifer with his glaive. All the muscles in the demon boy's body contracted, and he stood on the balls of his feet, ready to strike once more. His arm was freely bleeding, but it wasn't going to be fatal. He hoped.
"You aren't better than me! I am the Prince of Hell! You dare challenge me, little brother?" A glimmer of insanity showed in his face. "None can defeat me. I'm... INVINCIBLE!" he screamed as he lunged again, driven by the force of his anger and madness.
It is often said that madmen are hard to kill, because they will do anything to prove themselves justified. This most certainly held true here.

Tal sat gasping, taking in the wreckage around him, as one of his students, an angelic Throne named Xavier, slowly healed him, lung and ribs stitching themselves back together, albeit painfully, at a remarkably fast pace. He made a side note to give all of these kids 'A's later on. The gymnasium was a wreck. Snow and ash blew in from a cracked "Snow" biome, heat shimmering in the distance, from the surging magma of a "Volcanic" one. The roof was practically non-existent, having caved in from the battering it had taken. The creatures he had meticulously captured roamed free, skulking around the still rune enclosed structure, or cowering within their shattered homes.
Putting his hand on the angels shoulder, he stopped the healing process, shoving himself to his feet, with a groan. "Thanks, kid. But leave some of that. I've been in need of a cool scar anyway," he said, with a smile. Looking out over the destruction, he sighed, and turned to face his students, fingers snapping, dispelling the protective runes sealing them within the compound.
"There's no way to truly say what needs to be said here. I'm currently filled with a lot of emotions, disappointment and disgust with myself, for being so careless, sadness, and compassion for what was once inside of me, but mostly, pride. I'm proud of all of you, for what you did here. There's no other way to say it. You saved your own lives, and those of countless others. You're heroes. You saved the day. And I'm proud of you. Thank you. Thank all of you. I removed the barriers. Go back to your dorms. Relax. You've earned it."
Hyperion
Hyperion sat down, catching his breath, hands still a little shaky from the conflict. Listening to Tal speak, he couldn't help but notice the pain behind his old friends calm facade. The sheer wreckage around them was hard to take in. They'd done all of this, they and their teacher, stopping a creature who's only crime was being born.
He chuckled lightly, shaking hands clapping together, and pulling apart, revealing a pair of battered sunglasses, Hyperion calmly placing them up over his eyes, his sunny exterior returning.
"Never thought I'd say this, but can I go to Math class now?"
Smiling, he picked up his tattered shirt, tossing it over his shoulder, and shrugged, looking at the wreckage behind him.
"Hey!" He said, calling out behind him, "Who else wants to see if this place has a beach?"

But I can't just leave someone injured like that...
"Here, let me," she said quietly, moving over to Filia and putting one hand on Lucifer's shoulder, letting her power flow into him and heal him. "...Be careful, okay?" she added, clearly concerned for the other girl. I don't want anyone else getting hurt like I did.

The fighting had finally reached Lux's eyes and ears, and he stopped playing with Mara as he noticed the weapons that Azazel had manifested. He stood straight now, and his expression became blank, almost mechanical. He also unfolded his wings slightly, almost as a bearded lizard might open its collar to scare away a predator. However, Lux's wings acted far more subtly. He then turned to him, and as Lucifer passed-out behind him, he stared down the demon. "...You are a demon. Please do not continue to fight, or I will have no choice but to exterminate you. You will not attempt anymore violence than has happened," he ordered, quietly. He then acknowledged that Lucifer had fallen, and he looked behind him briefly as Filia and Charlotte knelt near him. He felt no personal sympathy for Lucifer, as he was also a demon. However, more violence would only add more stress to an already-stressed-and-tired class of students. Turning back toward Azazel, he continued, "Your opponent is down. There is no need for you to continue. If you fire, I will knock you unconscious as is necessary." He unfolded his wings just a little more, now, showing them at their full width, and he stood like a statue.

Taking his free hand, Azazel pushed the arrows, one by one, through the devil's gut until they were protruding from his abdomen a good deal, and pulled them, gingerly, from there, casting the projectiles aside.
He stood, examining his own wound, or, rather, the tear in his coat that had resulted from it, "You have my thanks for healing him. As I said, it was not my intention to put Lucifer to the sword."
It has been a good while since I've done battle with a demon of his ilk, after all.
But then again, it's been even longer since I've let one live.
"...why're you mad?" Mara asked curiously, tugging at Leviathan's shirt. Lux had abandoned their game, and left her looking for other entertainment when she'd spotted the grimacing demon. "You need to cheer up? I can help. I'm good at cheering people up," she said with no humility whatsoever. She saw no need to lie about it; after all, she cheered her mother up all the time, and her mother was so sad so often that that surely meant she was good at it. So she could help. A girl played, their teacher sat, appearing to be half-dead, his father had already gotten in a second fight, and this one only lasted a few seconds, Azazel crippling him within the space of a couple seconds. He had to admit, it felt good to see that monster fall the way he had, knowing just how prideful the devil, his father, was.
He's gone soft. But that's what we're for, isn't it? We are the Antichrist, destined to slay God himself. He is nothing more than a folk tale, now.
No, you're the great nemesis. Don't you dare put me in the same category as yourself.
But I can feel it. The pleasure, the satisfaction you're feeling at seeing your enemy brought to a knee. I know you better than you know yourself, boy. Don't forget that.
The son of Satan frowned, casting his thoughts, and that of that monster, aside as he watched the others, Azazel evidently more than happy to aide in helping Lucifer return to his former health. He grimaced. While he wouldn't have minded leaving him crippled, at the very least, this would shatter his pride, and that, at least, they couldn't heal.

He grimaced, knowing that this was going to hurt, but the arrowheads themselves weren't very large, so it wouldn't do much real damage if he could maneuver them right.
That meeting had ended in her being ruined and disgraced, and she had no desire to repeat the events of that fateful day yet another time.
She ignored her other self screaming at her that she should have killed Lucifer, that she should be killing every demon there, and simply stayed where she was, hoping the girl who'd begged for help would listen to her warning."...why're you mad?" Mara asked curiously, tugging at Leviathan's shirt.
