Hmm. When I think about it, I could write an interesting character study of Charlotte/Shekhinah. Exploring the contrasts would make for an interesting read, at least to me, and might help provide some insight into why they act the way they do.

That might be something to do while recovering... so, soon, I suppose. After all, there's only two days left... closer to one now, I guess. How time flies.

Honestly, I still hardly consider it real... oh well, I suppose the pain after the fact will ground me in reality well enough. And then the morphine or whatever it is they'll have me on at the time will promptly undo it. :p

Welp, just popped on NS to find that Z-Day was in full swing, and most of my puppets had decided to commit sudoku for me. Fun.

Anyway, I guess I'll have a post up soon. Gotta write it first, obviously.

It went fine, no complications, in fact things turned out better than expected.

I've already been doing that for the last two days--managed to walk pretty good distances in the hospital(for a piano, yes, but still), and have been getting better at walking short distances without help.

It still hurts, a good deal sometimes, but most of the time it's manageable.

Just keep working at it, slowly but surely.

In other news, there's a one-armed guy that I've started to work out with.

He's a lot better at one-arm pullups than me. But, I've got him in push-ups. Lol

That's what everyone else has been saying, about me walking that is. Apparently my surgeon is just like that--the others in the hospital don't have their kids moving much for a while, but she had me sitting straight up the day of surgery. Right after getting two titanium rods and a lot of freaking enormous metal screws stuck in my back. XD She gets good results, though, so I'm not questioning her methods.

And my friends have been so awesome about it. Some of them came to visit me in the hospital, which wouldn't be quite as meaningful if it weren't for the fact that the hospital the surgery was done in is in an entirely different state. They drove two hours down and two hours back for about half an hour of conversation. I thought I was going to cry.

Plus, when we got home we discovered that my class had made a 'welcome home' sign and stuck it to the front of my house, complete with plastic wrap over it so that it wouldn't get ruined by the rain. There were a lot of jokes about the class's average spelling abilities decreasing(everyone wrote a little note on the sign for me ^-^) and even an Illuminati eye for some reason, but my favorite had to be the one that started with 'Hey, I hope your back isn't too SCREWED up' and ended with 'I'd tell you to get better soon, but you're already pretty METAL'.

It was horrible. I loved it. XD

So yeah, I'm not exactly the happiest person in the world right now due to soreness and its ilk, but I'm better off now than I was before. If they'd left it alone, the curves would've gotten a lot worse--we actually got to see them progress over two months, it was insane--and eventually my organs would've started to be crushed. Which no one wants.

Plus I was given an enormous bottle of grape soda, which is my favorite thing ever, so... yeah it could definitely be worse. :p

Glad you're feeling better, Charli. I didn't realize you weren't doing well in the first place, but still good to know you're ok.

In other news,
Self-proclaimed "writer" hates writing while doing it but longs to write when he isn't, more at 11.
(My laptop keeps dying while I'm writing my post and then I forget that I had a post to write when I'm not in the middle of it. Sorry.
I'll have that post up eventually, though whether or not it'll be even close to relevant when I do is still up in the air.)

So...there was a critter on the side of the road, a little baby kitten, and I said to myself, "Okay, I've tried and failed this before, but let's do this." (Take note, this is northeast ohio and it's almost winter)

I proceeded to gain its trust and then pick him up with some resistance, but he was chill after that. Then I went to a nearby house, they explained that someone dropped him off on the road and they'd been trying to catch him. Then I opened my car door and he got away.

He tore up my hand pretty good doing that, but I hope he doesn't freeze. God, poor thing. Imma bring a net or something from now on on my way to school just in case I see it again.
