I had multiple family members call me a piece of shit among other insults for refusing to pay for things for them.

So, I'm chilling at my friend's wip renovation home a good two hundred miles from my home.

So, I'm chilling at my friend's wip renovation home a good two hundred miles from my home.

...Sounds like my aunt. She's such a freaking drama queen and can't do anything for herself...

I remember she called our house at 3 AM last Christmas because her husband was drunk and she was sick and needed a ride... She literally had to have a taxi called for her. Because she apparently couldn't do it herself.

And then she whined on Facebook about how horrible her brother was for not coming to get her, at 3 AM in the freaking morning on Christmas, because for some bizarre reason she just couldn't get herself a taxi.

And it wasn't a money issue or anything. She was just being her regular self.

We missed two of her calls a couple of days ago and she started practically crying about how we were obviously seeing it was her and not answering. Because apparently having lives that don't revolve around sitting by the phone waiting for the chance to help her out is a crime.



Basically, I know how you feel. *pats shoulder* Don't let it bother you. It is not your job to take care of family members who ought to be able to take care of themselves. In short, unless they needed life-saving medicine or something REALLY IMPORTANT like that, you've got nothing to feel bad about. You are a person, not a walking dollar sign.

On my spine this time. Didn't say anything before 'cause I wasn't really sure what all was going to happen, but long story short over the past month or so it's been discovered that I have pretty severe scoliosis... Seriously, the X-rays are so freaky.

So they're putting metal rods in my back at some point in November... That'll be fun.

So they're putting metal rods in my back at some point in November... That'll be fun.

I can't relate, but I do know how bad scoliosis can get.

I would list my concerns about surgery involving your spine, since it is such an important nerve cluster, but just have faith in the medical professionals and don't let me spook you.

Second, after the surgery, if you feel strange, or your mood changes drastically in the days after the surgery, get to the emergency room as soon as possible. That may be a sign of something severely wrong with your body. Otherwise, from what I've watched as my sister has recovered from surgery, you're gonna be fairly stiff for a while, and you'll definitely need some PT after, but you'll walk much better some time. I'll be sure to pray for you. ^^
