I mean, can you imagine what eternity would be like if you remembered everything? After all, if you've got immortality, you'd use it to do what you couldn't do in one lifetime, right? Better yourself, learn everything you can, heck, maybe even try to take over the world if you feel like it. But what happens when you've done all that? When you are the foremost expert on literally everything, when you speak every language fluently, when there's nothing left to do and you still have the rest of eternity ahead of you?

You could have lived for millennia upon millennia but it wouldn't even be a millionth of a percent of your lifetime. Because it would never end. Ever. If you were truly immortal, the rest of the universe could burn around you and you would still be there. Floating in an enormous sea of nothing.

Really, Luna got lucky. I imagine that if she didn't forget things, she'd be far more insane than she is now. Because that up there? That's not even nightmare fuel.

It's worse.

Just add constant struggle with the embodiment of primal order and nothingness itself, watching all those you ever cared for die in front of you and you have pretty much summed up Merlin's struggles
And yet you'd be hard-pressed to tell with that guy. He's very chill.

I'd probably end up like that too.
My personal thoughts are: Either I die extremely early on, or I'll live forever through some convoluted reason.

I'd like the first option personally, but I'm getting used to the second too.

Not necessarily, if you watch the BBC series...

Technically the same one, just an alternate-universe one.

Still would technically be a different character.

Different is defined as;
1. Not the same as another or each other; unlike in nature, form, or quality.
2. Distinct; separate.

While same is defined as;
1. Identical; not different. Not having changed; unchanged.
2. Of an identical type; exactly similar.

Therefore, technically, they are not the same character, they are different.

On an unrelated note, remember when I said I'd try to make my character the Kamina/Kato of the series? Lets just go ahead and add Hughes to that list as well.
HAHAHAHAHA

Hughes?

Oh...

You don't mean that.

Well, actually I meant more like this, or this.

But hey, if he does die at some point, then who am I to say that Luna won't tell them not to put dirt on daddy?

You know how Jeremy said that Oliver was a distant aloof uncle?

Well, it's basically going to be that. Only that when he does learn Jeremy called him that, he will act as such towards Luna.
And shit man, he's going to be seriously pissed if Jeremy dies.
After all, he did confide one of his biggest secrets to him.
He just never answered.

It was somewhat like an undertone.

He said: Do you value your own life?
And since of course he'd say some variant of no, Oliver would've told him his problem.
Coincidentally his biggest secret.

Oh, right, well I actually had a line prepared for that, but then I was too busy to use it and a timeskip ended up happening.

He was gonna say "Yeah, I do. It's just that I value all of yours a little more." And it was gonna sound awesome.
