In 2241 the NCR had an approximate population of 700,000. But then again they were inundated by nukes.

History: 2123-2180: Ronto was formed in 2123, one of the first nations to start popping up across the GLORIOUS CANADIAN American wasteland. Its first Prime Minister was Edward Richardston who led the nation during its democratic states. After him came Abraham Richardston, his brother who turned the nation into a dictatorship, helping it conquer small republics outside of Toronto and make the nation push into Ohio and New York, only to be killed in a fiery rebellion during the Rontarian Civil War a major event spanning 30 years, not all of which Abraham was in control of the nation. During these years advancements were made into Michigan and the settlements of Wintroit and Erie City were created.
2181- 2241: Expansions into the states were complete, but the imperialism started picking up in the last ten years when Jack Norton came into office. Over these years the cities of The Glass City, Ottawa, New Toledo were founded and the military saw advancements from newly received military technology in Ohio and Ottawa.

South Ontario has most of Canada's military loot. It contains the capital and biggest city. Also laser rifles are quite common in the games. Not all will have laser rifles, I'll change that.

Washington got hit pretty hard too it seems. Giving that Washington State would have a much less number in population as today California has around 38 Million and Washington only 7. How about...80,000?

The NCR had their service rifles because it was cheap and easy to produce. Laser Rifles are costly, and even the BoS has to spend a lot of time repairing that stuff as it requires higher maintenance then a small standard rifle. Will try and help with population.
