Population way too high. I guessed 120,000. Somewhere around that is reasonable. Take that down and adjust military numbers down to meet the new population number, and I'll take a look at this again. When it comes to the Power Armor, I need an exact amount of suits for that and the models of power armor you have.

My finished app

Faction/Nation Name: The New Start Republic
Faction/Nation Territory: The New Start Republic stretches out from the highways in Old World Louisiana in a rough x, emanating from Alexandria in its center. From there it stretches out along the roads southwest and southeast to Lake Charles and Baton Rouge, the southernmost south west and south eastern cities in the nation. There is a little tale that stretches down from Lafayette, the city in between Baton Rouge and Lake Charles that goes to New Iberia. This is the town furthest south in the nation. North from Alexandria, roughly mirroring the southern territory New Start goes into Shreveport. To the east, the furthest city is just over the Mississippi River, in Vicksburg.
Capital City/Faction HQ: Lafayette.
Population: The people of New Start Republic make they living cooking jet, psycho, and distilling moonshine that they ship up the Mississippi River to trade with Chicago and St Louis. As a result, the culture is largely built upon activity's that many other nations in the wastes would look down on. The leadership of the nation is built from many of the old Family's, who helped found the prominent Chems trade that funds the economy. They like to try and separate themselves from the rabble below them, living life as gentry in old mansions, wearing suits and pretty dresses, and drinking only the finest liquors they can get their hands one. The common folk however, who cook the jet and distill the moonshine, know that their leaders came from the same stock as them, and that not to long ago they to were making chems and shooting each other over games of Caravan.
Government: The Government is run like a family in many regards. There is a council built up of many of the most prominent members of society. They meet, and discuss topics, and though there is no official leader the old Abigail Johnston is widely respected, and it is generally decided that her word is law. While laws in the Republic are rather few and far between, and are left up to each individual settlement to decide what they want and do not want their townsfolk doing, the most commonly accepted laws are those against murder, rape and treason. All members of the nation are required to train in the military from the time they are 16 to the time they are 35, but they do not have to serve active duty unless the nation is invaded, or they choose to.
Leaders: The highest title one can earn in the Republic is that of Council Member, though Council Member Abigail Johnston is the most respected and her word is generally considered law.

From there, being a landowner is well respected, and they usually own large plantations along the Mississippi.

Those who own boats are generally just under landowners, as they have the ability to employ themselves and to move trade goods up and down the Mississippi, and through the Bayou's that make up the southern part of the nation.

equal to boat owners are people who own their own business's, for much the same reason's as boat owners, only they are able to distribute goods to those in New Start rather than distribute New Start's goods elsewhere.

The lowest members of society are the workers. They work the fields, sell in others stores, and work as deckhands on other's boats.

However, all of these rankings should be taken with a certain grain of salt, as one of the founding tenets of the New Start Republic is freedom to live one's life how they please, and even the lowest members of society have the ability to simply move away and start their life again elsewhere, and therefore people's lot in life is always changing. This has given the people of New Start a disdain for those who think they are better, because they believe anyone can become rich or poor at the drop of a hat.
National/Group Ideology: Freedom, no matter the cost, as well as the ability to make a name for oneself if they work for it.
Military: Every citizen of the New Start Republic is is trained from the age of 16 to the age of 35 to be a soldier. However, they generally have jobs and occupations outside of the military, much like the Pre War US National Guard. Many choose to make the military their career's, but most instead act as militiamen, effectively making it an entire nations filled with people ready to fight at a moments notice, much like the people of the Commonwealth to the north.

The military, called the New Start Armed Forces, or just the army by most, has control of 12 still working pre war Vertibirds.

The most respected members of the military are the Republican Scout Corp, who are tasked with exploration in time's of peace, and with being the tip of the spear in times of war. (They act much like modern Recon Marine's do.)

The current number of soldiers who could fight is currently 155,000, the population of New Start. However, the number of active soldiers at any one time is usually only around 500 soldiers who have made the army their career's.
Major Towns or Locations: Alexandria, Lafayette, Baton Rouge, New Iberia, Lake Charles, Shreveport, Monroe, Vicksburg. There are also many towns and settlements built along the Mississippi, that act as docks for the boats used to trade with the north.
History: The New Start Republic started as a group of families and groups who cooked jet, psycho, and other chems, as well as distilling moonshine. For a long time these different groups were in competition with one another, each looking to take control of the Mississippi, which offered the most trade on the widest scale. Most of the region was in a state similar to feudal Europe, where the leading drug lord in the immediate area was in charge. This is what laid the initial groundwork for how the Republics government works. Each town had its own ruler, and each of these rulers would put in place their own laws. After the area was unified, this tradition remained.

It wasn't until 2166 that the region unified in some way, though it was very loose and the people in the area still fought bitterly with one another. This loose organization came from the threat that began to emerge from Nor'Leans, where the many cults in the old city had begun to strike outwards, believing that vengeful gods would reward them for purging the rest of the area of heretics. Though there was tension, and the people were far from happy to be working with members of opposite families and gangs, they managed to defeat the rising threat and laid the groundwork for the future nation.

When the war was over, many of the families were more confidant making alliances, and soon the biggest settlements in the region all came under the leadership of one separate leader for each, instead of being lorded over by multiple gangs. Now each settlement, Alexandria, Lafayette, Baton Rouge, New Iberia, Lake Charles, Shreveport, Monroe and Vicksburg, were all ruled over by one separate leader for each. These leaders would one day unite as the Council. With the added power that controlling an entire city gave, these people were able to reach out and take the smaller surrounding area under their control.

for a long time, these towns had an uneasy peace with one another. Never outright fighting wars, but with seemingly unending skirmishes and tension. What finally united the area under one flag was the arrival of an army of raiders from Alabama, who had been slowly spreading east and sacking all they came across until they came to the Mississippi. Seeing a similar situation as what had happened with Nor'Leans, the major factions of the area quickly rallied behind one another, recognizing that together they could fight but if they let old conflicts get between them they would also be sacked like the many cotton farmers on the other side of the River had been.

When the raider army did attempt to cross the river, they met massive resistance. With some much conflict making up the regions culture, there were few who couldn't fight. The people of Louisiana had set up huge defenses, with machine guns, old artillery, and knowledge of the land to defeat their enemies. After the initial Battle of the River, the people of New Start set out on a campaign across the river, destroying the leftover encampments and positions held by the conquerors, effectively breaking their power so that they couldn't ever counter attack in the future.

After the war, the army's returned home, and life got back to normal. However, after proving that they could all work together, the people of New Start began calling for unification, and soon the people of the other major settlements began sending delegates to meet with each other, and to decide on how they should interact. Soon, it was routine for people to be sent to Lafayette to represent their towns, and after 10 years of this being the routine a council of the leader from each city signed the Unification Treaty and made what was once Louisiana the New Start Republic.

The survivors regrouped nearby where one of the kids found a hidden bunker. Inside they found pre-war weapons, armor, and even a suit of power armor. Although the they couldn't use the power armor yet, they could certainly use the weapons. the group of 12 armed themselves and set out, within a day they had found the raiders that attacked them and what was left of the people they took. The fight was hard and of the 12 that entered only 7 were left standing when it was done, but they one the raiders were dead now it was time to find the living, and count the dead. David found that his son was still alive, they and the rest of the townsfolk left to go back and pick up their lives. But David never forgot the weapons in the base or the power armor, it took months back one day David walked back into his village wearing that suit of power armor. It was that day the order was formed though it didn't bare the name yet. The order was able to unite the people of the Capital Wasteland and fought a bloody war of extermination against the raiders, slavers, and mutants. David would not live to see the end of it he died leading the final assault on the slavers of paradise falls. His son would take up the post of Grand Master a positions the Coopers hold to this day. (How did your nation or group come to be?)

Got this done. if anyone wants to take a look at it.

I was just about to get on that T-51b and start asking loads of questions. However, my only question is this. Where did you receive power armor training?

The first suit of power armor David spent around 7 and a half months most of that time was figuring out how to use the power armor. As for the rest of them during the Capital Wasteland pacification they found various holo-tapes describing power armor, how to wear it, how to fight in it, etc. even then they only ever manged to get 25 it took months to train people at first.

This reminds me of UHP's Fallout's RP set around New Orleans with the N'Orlean threat and the New Start Republic being made up of chem dealers/

Oh, so I guess this is the unofficial ending to the Norlean event?

Thats what I was going to have happen.

The original RP lost steam and so I never got to finish it, and I tried to reboot it a few times but it never got any traction. I was hoping to explore more of the cotton farmers on the the other side of the Mississippi, but I didn't want to go through all the trouble of making an app for all of the factions that made up the web of conflicts in my original RP, so I just stuck with New Start for this RP because I always thought that they were the most interesting faction.

Well, it's good to know that the Nor'leans were stopped dead in their tracks. That would've made an interesting Fallout title in itself.

Deep down, Ive always hoped that Bethesda was reading through that RP to work on their next game.

And then they would call it Fallout 5: Nor'Leans.

I thought Obsidian would be developing the next Fallout game, they did have field notes on Louisiana.

I came across that when I was working on that RP.

I got really exited, but apparently the dev who posted the notes said later that they were not working on a Fallout Louisiana game.

Though part of me wonders if that was to just throw off the hype train so that it didn't get to big before the game was announced.

Only need to do the history and I'll be done

Faction/Nation Name: United Republic of Texas
Faction/Nation Territory: All of Texas
Capital City/Faction HQ: Lone Star
Population: 560,000
Government: Texas styles itself as a presidential republic, just like the position of Pre-war Texas. The Texas President is limited to two 5-year terms at the most while the Texas Senate has no such term limits, although they are open to elections every 2 years. The leader of the Texas Senate is the Chancellor and holds considerable amount of power second to the President. In the event that the President dies before his/her term is up, the Chancellor serves as the interim President.
Leaders:
President Robert Jackson
Chancellor Harold Yee
Vice-Chancellor Marcus Reynalds

National/Group Ideology: Restoration of old world values of liberty, democracy, and rule of law.
Military: The military of Texas is represented by the Army, the Air Force, and the Navy. The active duty of the Army numbers around 17,000 men and is the largest unit of the Texas Armed Forces. 2,470 of the Texas Army is part of an elite outfit group known as the Texas Rangers while 430 members of the Texas Army are heavily armored Vanguards. 600 of the Texas Army also belong to the Bicycle Infantry Battalion. Likewise, the Army Engineering Battalion has the number of 400 men. The Texas Air Force has around 350 men while the Texas Navy numbers around 630 men.

The organization of the Texas Army is built upon the military of the pre-war America. The armory is largely diverse for standard soldiers. A standard soldier resembles a beefed up WW2 era US marine, complete with an olive colored combat armor and an M1 helmet while armed with either the R91 Assault Rifle, a battle rifle, or a marksman carbine. A platoon officer would have the same battle gear but wears a cap and will carry an assault carbine, a .45 submachine gun, or a 12.7mm submachine gun. Squad gunners would be equipped with light machine guns and usually carry additional ammunitions for fellow squadmates to refill in battle. Snipers would wear lighter and more camoflauged fatique and carry weapons built for long range encounter and a shorter range secondary if needs to.

The uniform of Rangers differ based on assignment. On standard patrols in relative safe areas, rangers have a "wild west" feel, complete with brown trousers, vest, a cowboy hat, and a bandana. In unknown locations, rangers would wear combat armors and in some cases, riot control armors complete with a protective helmet. The armory of Rangers is largely diverse, ranging from Wild west weapons such as revolvers and lever action rifles to contemporary weapons such as the marksman carbines and anti-material rifles. It's also not uncommon for Rangers to be carrying energy based weapons such as laser rifles or even Gauss Rifles.

The armory of the Texas Vanguards is largely based on T-45 armors stripped of its joint servos to allow regular soldiers to wear without power armor training. Although the armor adds more weight to users due to not being a power armor but a heavy suit, the armor does add the same protection and is less likely to be affected by emp attacks. However, some officers of the Vanguards do have the necessary training and knowhow to operate a power armor and very small numbers of officers do wear unaltered power armors, be it T-45, T-51, or in a very rare case, T-60. Due to the weight and protection, the Vanguards were seen as tanks of the Texas Army and are expected to carry heavy weapons such as the gatling laser, the minigun, and heavy launchers.

Interestingly, the Texas military makes good use of bicycles, even dedicating its own battalion. Bikers use the two wheelers as plastic horses with roles such as delivering messages, getaway vehicles for reconaissance, and going on supply runs. Bikers are armed with single handed weapons such as a pistol or a 10mm submachine gun and a wooden pole. Originally, the pole was used as a support for the bike in case there weren't any structures to use but some clever minds wrapped their combat knifes around the end of the pole as a sort of a makeshift spear.

Texas does enjoy a couple of functioning trucks, used only for long distance and for supply runs only. The Navy of the Texas Republic mostly consists of rafts and small merchant vessels. The Texas Air Force has 8 functioning Vertibirds in service.
Major Towns or Locations: Lone Star (Capital), Fort Wroth, New Dallas, AM City, Arlington, Alamo.
History:The United Texas Republic was formed in 2184 by a party of vault dwellers lead by Samuel Hanson leaving the mutated plant infested Vault 39 in Abilene in 2138. Not far away from the vault, the search party set up a settlement in Abilene and declared it to be the settlement of Lone Star. and more survivors from Vault 39 joined in the settlement. The settlement of Lone Star grew and the citizens of Lone Star traveled to parts of Texas to trade with other settlements in the state. The trading network throughout Texas brought prosperity and a sense of closeness and vault dwellers of Lone Star called upon neighboring settlements in the creation of a unified governmental system. The settlements sent delegations into Lone Star and after some negotiations, the delegates announced the creation of the Texas Republic with Lone Star being the capital city of the nation with Samuel Hanson's grandson Griffin Hanson being elected as the first President of Texas.

The Presidency of Hanson was the the start of the Texas Unification Campaign with the First Campaign. The First Campaign involved securing southwestern Texas and later, securing southeastern Texas with the campaign ending with the annexation of Beaumont and making contact with the New Start Republic. Under Hanson's policy, people should move across Texas to build settlements that will eventually be part of the new country. Hanson lead as President for 10 years and stepped down due to term limits. Hanson was succeeded by AM Mayor Hiram Jung. President Jung continued the Texas Unification Campaign with the call for northern expansion, seeing the annexation of Fort Worth and New Dallas. President Hiram Jung also focused on "reclamation projects," sending scouts to factories and military bases to find anything salvageable. Jung also lead the country for 10 years and was succeeded by Alamo Senator Alana Haywood. Haywood was responsible for the final unification campaign, annexing the Texas panhandle. With the unification of Texas completed, Haywood focused on domestic issues, supporting public projects and working with companies to clean roads for better transportation. Haywood did not run for second term, claiming that she did all she wanted to do as President and see no reason for her to continue. Haywood was succeeded by a series of Presidents (Andrew Brenner, Lester Benson, John Steel, Nancy Miller, and Anthony Chung) with largely uneventful administrations except for the usual trade agreements and strengthening of borders. The last election saw AM Senator Robert Jackson ascension to the Presidency.

Trade and good diplomacy is always good between nations.

I'm surprised you don't have a special force of men built on guerilla warfare by utilizing the swamp as a weapon. I can already think of a name for adaptive elite soldiers: Swamp Foxes.

Calvin Rockwell, or as he was once known as Constantine Chase in the year 2077 is shrouded in mystery among The Concord of Stars. Low ranking members believe him to be the power behind the Concord, and that his advancements are the only chance the Concord has against their enemies. Higher ranking members believe Rockwell to be a highly intelligent scientist that by a stroke of luck, managed to be brought into the vault before the doors closed in 2077 during Nuclear War. However, by all accounts his roots seem to be untraceable to Concord records. Despite being a member of the Concord for years, nobody can locate any relatives of Rockwell among the staff or personnel, and nobody can ever recall a Rockwell ever being admitted in 2077 which is supported by documentation. However, despite the mystery mans origins. He has been known to be one of the best scientist the Concord has known, however he is known to be very secretive about his origins when questioned. No definitive explanation has been offered by who Calvin Rockwell truly is, or his origins. And some in the Concord are content to keep it that way. Whether this decision is due to fear of finding out who and where this man come from, or a general disinterest is up to debate within the Concord.

General Constantine Chase was a pre-War U.S. Army General, most notable for being the commanding officer of the Anchorage Reclamation, a military operation that repelled Chinese forces from Alaska in January of 2077. After the Alaska campaign, Chase was dispatched to Washington D.C. to help assist on an Anchorage simulation project by Virtual Strategic Solutions and Vault-Tec simulation programs. After completing the simulations, he was called for a deployment into Shanghai to command the United States 32nd Mechanized during the invasion of China. During the 2 months of deployment before the Great War, the 32nd pushed deep into the Chinese Mainland as nuclear war sirens began to sound. During the confusion, General Constantine Chase was mysteriously abducted into Space during the apocalypse and was experimented on by the aliens of Mothership Zeta. He was held on the ship for years in cryogenic stasis, but a mysterious coolant leak in the chamber resulted in Chase being unfrozen from stasis. The cause of the leak was due to Sally's meddling of the ships system, which was good for Chase and very bad for the aliens. General Chase with the help of Sally helped free Colonel Hartigan, Sergeant Daniels, Corporal Rheems, Corporal Spurlock, Private Elliott Tercorien, Private Beckett, Private Lawrence Mears, Toshiro Kago, Andrew Endicott, Vin, Morrison Rand, Madeline Wallace, Roy Wallace, Margaret Wallace, Arthur Wallace, Giles Wolstencroft, Holly Barrisford, and Paulson. This group managed to overpower the aliens and fully take control of the ship in 2100.

Over the next hundred years, Chase learned that whatever the aliens did to him completely halted his aging and allowed him to be immortal to illness and old age. Chase also managed to read up on the vast collections of knowledge the aliens kept in their archives, even information from the United States Library of Congress. This allowed Chase to become a scientific genius, along with some of the other survivors of the ship. Chase was declared the official leader of the group, and ordered the "crew," to begin learning as much about the aliens as they could and study their technology. Over the years of this, the group managed to understand the aliens technology and language, and apparently also had their lives extended due to the same experimentation used on Chase. New technologies were discovered, and much of the alien arsonal had been put to use by the crew. Colonel Hartigan even managed to learn how to fly the alien craft, with Wolstencroft and Rand learning more about the scientific pursuits the aliens were engaged in. Eventually chased learned that although his band of survivors could indeed survive, he would need to find a way to help humanity without exposing them to this highly advanced technology. With the crew completely loyal to Chase, he was soon beemed down to earth inside Vault 122 which they had been monitoring for some time. When Concord security saw him, they originally panicked upon seeing a man just materialize in front of them and died of shock on the spot. With no one to witness Concord enter, he managed to sneak his way into the records room and upload a file of himself into the database to trick the Concord into believing he was a scientist within their ranks. This worked, and soon Chase started going under the name Calvin Rockwell in order to avoid suspicion linking him to his past.

Yes, mothership zeta stuff. This is however strictly for my use, as there is a specific direction I want it to go. However, I do plan to put some teasers here and there ingame to allow people the sheer curiousity of wondering if aliens exist in fallout, but never be able to prove it.

I'm surprised you don't have a special force of men built on guerilla warfare by utilizing the swamp as a weapon. I can already think of a name for adaptive elite soldiers: Swamp Foxes.

I just figured that the entire military is a citizen military, that most soldiers would already be able to fight like that just by growing up and living there.
