Well, Eastern Rome and Persia kinda have a centuries old "Eternal/Perpetual Peace".

If I'm right, we either chose the original peace with that name, so 532, or 628.

In all seriousness I am more inclined to trade than go to war unless it is a good chance to increase my foundation. Like in northwest Africa.

My present Rome is much more powerful and advanced than how my old Rome was in the past threads, but even so, I am more than inclined to continue the Byzantine tradition and always use diplomacy when possible.

But I have some set objectives in mind, and I won't stay and watch like I did when the Egypt thing happened

I always thought that it was interesting that while most of the world calls it English, for the Anglo in Anglo-Saxon, the Welsh essentially call it Saxonish.

Oh, I had no idea.

Yeah, it is pretty interesting. We use Saxon strictly to refer to our own Saxons, the Transylvanian Saxons, at least in Romanian.
