Name: Addison Lloyd
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Height 5'7 ft
Weight: 138 lbs
House|Element: Solum
Personality: Aside from his appearance compared to the other males in Mana Academy, Addison is not particularly outstanding from his peers. He isn't shy, instead he can come across as overly 'touchy-feely' as some would describe him. He treats his friends with the utmost respect, and tends to gossip with his female friends about attractive boys and such. He keeps around a B average in class, is polite to instructors, and when alone always seems to be reading from some book. In fact, some would question why Professor Iolonos would take him on as an apprentice. He tends to cling to Hestia when she's around, her being his mentor and how she treats him with the utmost adoration.
Likes:Mother, Learning new spells, Professor Hestia, Meeting new people, Parties, Going Clubbing, Most social events, Gossip, Playful Banter, Cute Boys, Being the center of attention.
Dislikes: Bullying, Deceit, Hestia when she's upset, Angry friends, Bitches, Crazy Mage Bitches
Animal: A small Yellow Canary he adores.
Bio: Addison figured it out a while ago, but he always wondered how with two regular parents, he was able to be born with enough Mana reserves to be considered a Mage. When his mother confessed to him that the father he had known for all these years was not his real father, so many things clicked together. The looks of disdain that his father would give him, how his mother would be the only one to shower him with affection. Indeed, he was a 'momma's boy' at heart given how his father preferred to pay him no mind. He did everything with his mother. They went shopping together, went to the movies together, and when her and his 'father' were fighting, they would share the same room (albeit different beds).
When he was around seven, his mother finally decided to leave his father, something that didn't come as a young surprise to Addison given the frequency of their fights. When the two finally separated, Addison's mother practically spent every waking moment of the day with him, a prospect he more than welcomed. As the two lived in a small apartment with 1 bedroom, Addison would sometimes be left alone for periods of time while his mother went to work. He was intelligent enough at a young age not to betray his mothers trust, and not to do anything that would displease her. In his curiosity and boredom from watching television however, he was caught one night trying on his mothers dresses. Instead of shock or anger however, his mother found him to be 'precious and adorable'. It was these words in this moment that would eventually lead to his desire and wanting to enjoy the aesthetics of the opposite sex.
It was around the age of fifteen however when he realized his magical potential. In a bout of rage and sadness from his last breakup, Addison caused a spike of rock to erupt from the ground in a park. Luckily for him, only his mother was around to witness the event as she tried to comfort him. The two retreated home, and from their his mother told him the startling truth. Though aware of the existence of Mana and Magic, for his mother had told him such things existed, he possessed the aptitude for wielding said magic.
What was more startling however, was that his mother revealed herself as a Dark Mage. Unsure of what that meant for himself, Addison was informed that it meant a lot of people wanted to hurt his mother. That there were people who wanted to take her away forever. Addison was appalled by this knowledge, and swore to never let his mother come to harm. The two embraced, a newfound trust built between mother and son. Addison's mother would go on to train her son in secret for a good year, before telling him he would be sent off to Mana Academy for proper training. Addison was devastated to be separated from his mother, but didn't protest as she assured him that when he returned properly trained, the two would never need to be separated again.
So in the end, Addison made for Mana Academy to join the ranks the of Mages who trained there, and to be part of a new world than the one he was accustomed to.

Most of you guys have really eccentric animals for your characters like bengal cats, drakelings and whatnot, and I'm just here with my corgi.

Indeed.
Also small disclaimer, once they meet, Oliver will probably be talking to his dog.
Basically his only friend.
So if you want to talk to him, you'll have to join in on his conversation with the dog.
Just imagine a guy reading a book and making some lightly growling noises while aggressively petting his small dog's belly.
