I understand the sentiment behind the tweet, but there were a number of ways it could have been handled better, like, oh I don't know, letting Spicy Latina introduce the resolution and move to have it approved by unanimous consent, bringing it to a speedy resolution, as it were. But...well, he's now alienated women and African Americans who will likely say something along the lines of "Oh, so our legacy isn't important enough for you?"

In the Senate, the ACTS Act has been passed and is on its way to the House, there's a bit of a fight between two Republicans over a resolution urging for the addition of a woman (Harriet Tubman) to the national currency, and Mr. Ski Resort GOP candidate for the NH governorship is an asshole and is guaranteeing the state for Democrats, essentially.
