History - (optional)After the admission of the 51st state, Cuba, the next presidential election is on the way. The previous president, James Crowley, is running again against his competitor, Charles Stuart. Both candidates work fiercely against each other, the polls seem close as to who will win the election. But with the spread of the superbug, and famine plaguing the world, the people search for a president who will keep the plague and famine out of the US. As a rally in Ohio begins, Charles takes the stage, stating his ways of bringing America back up to standards. To expand the farms in the mid-west, finding ways to increase food output and faster food growth. As well as investing in finding a cure against the superbug by using new techniques that the science field has come up with, and to help countries in need of antibiotics to fend off the bacterium. Meanwhile in Florida, James takes the stage and states how so far under his leadership, they have been out of any wars and enjoyed everlonging peace and under his guidance, will lead America to an even longer known peace. As the votes reach a feverish high point, the votes came in. As states all began to show who voted for who. Slowly the states changed red and blue, some of the more noted states projected James to win, but as the night went on, Charles began to outdo James. Winning Florida, New Hampshire, Ohio, etc... leaving it to 395(Charles)-143(James). As the date came for Charles to move in, and James to move out, many events took place around the world. Leaving the people to question if Charles was the best decision while others take this chance to make it seem choosing Charles was indeed the right choice. As Charles took the oath of office, thousands appeared to watch. Making it one of the largest oaths ever taken place. As the first two months go by, Charles enacted bills of increasing boarder control along the Mexican boarder and to set up examination checkpoints for those to coming into the US, to ensure that those coming in and out of the US with or without the bacterium enter respected zones. As the bacterium rages, quarantined areas began to appear where scientists study and begin research on a cure. But as war rages in Asia, the people, wonder as for if the US will remain out of the war or intervin and waste governmental spending on war. Leading up to what is happening within the White House.
War is raging in South America, the superbug cannot be fought off with antibiotics, hence it being a superbug.
