Well, the URE seems to be the biggest power on the block, and if I'm wanting to dismantle my empire and catch back up to everyone else economically and technologically, it'd be nice to have an alliance system to keep the nation to my south quiet ( Not sure on it's name ) and to support me through my reconstruction.
