1) I let you guys run wild until I return, letting you guys do what you want and leaving my three characters in NPC mode or;

I don't really care which, but I do want to assure you that I don't plan on abandoning this. I'm just physically unable to post.

Running wild could be fun. I'd be able to probably after this week.

Not much for right now but I think it will do. Maybe soon I might try and find that introverted hacker that just likes to stand around and do nothing. That will be a fun trip! :p

You guys should meet up. Have an absurdist philosophical conversation. Like this:

"I think, therefore I am."

"I think not." Augggggggghhhhh.... as he fades out of existence.

Ok, maybe that's a little extreme, but it is fun. Another absurdist philosophical conversation could take place...

Character App

290 - Do not remove. This is for tracking purposes. Removal will result in immediate denial

Name: ‘Cybernekit’
Actual Name: Wyami Abre-Kai

Age: 19

Species: Awkwardly-Augmented Human

Sex, Gender: Female, Female

Personality: Fun-loving and rebellious, absolutely hates anything that she can’t have fun with (Which is a lot of things). Lazy because of this, often disregards orders and assignments to do other things instead. She’s ambitious in her desires to have fun, usually relying on any means necessary to do so.

Skills/Powers: She’s skilled at using computers and a wide range of machinery, and is especially fond of rewiring and hacking into devices that aren’t hers.
She has several augmentations of her own design to give her enhanced speed, agility and reflexes, though they are prone to malfunctioning thanks to their jury-rigged nature.
She’s also really proficient at video games, her favourite is Cardboard Marty and the Hundred Day Window.

Weaknesses: She’s really lazy when it comes to things she doesn’t like, usually putting them off for as long as possible when she can. She also has a short attention span regarding these things, quick to become distracted by just about anything if she thinks it’d be more interesting than what she’s currently doing.
She is also reckless in her work, and rarely double checks things or completely thinks her plans through. As a result, anything she does or is involved with is likely to go wrong in a spectacular fashion, though sometimes this is for the better.

Occupation: Computer/Machinery Repair and Salvage. Computer/Machinery-related problem causer.

Bio: The girl known as Wirret Abre-Kai was born the sole daughter of a wealthy but corrupt businessman named Yamaki, head of the Abre-Kai Automotives corporation (often shortened to ‘AKA’). The corporation also ran secret projects behind the scenes, supplying local criminals with weapons and armoured vehicles in exchange for their services, keeping the law out of their hair.
Wirret was expected to become a ruthless businessman like her father, but was completely disinterested in anything business-related. Any time she was brought along to meetings or sat in her father’s office watching decisions being made, she couldn’t help but complain or look for anything else to do. Her spare time was spent avoiding chores and anything else asked of her to go play in arcades instead, though every time her father’s thugs always found and dragged her back after a short while.
It was after one of these days of being dragged back home and given a long, boring lecture on ‘being successful’ by her father that she came up with an idea. She decided that if she couldn’t keep sneaking out of the house to play games, she would just sneak the games into the house instead. So began her decent into delinquency as she snuck into arcades, dismantling games and using the parts to try building her own, using an unused part of one of the vehicle factories her father owned as a base of operations.
After many successful heists and many more unsuccessful ones, Wirret had accumulated a sizeable collection of games to play, most looking shoddy and dangerous to use. Wirret was not dissuaded though, she had been hooked by the thrill of crime, of breaking into things that weren’t hers. She wasn’t satisfied with just video games though; she had started getting older and craved bigger targets, plus she was known and banned from all of her local game shops and arcades. Computers and machines were her next targets as she started cannibalising what she could from the factories around her, building a wide variety of wild and eccentric devices to aid in her endeavours.
Her unchecked desires proved to be her downfall, however, as eventually her hideaway was discovered by Yamaki's goons; Her constant theft from both the company and many dangerous individuals in the vicinity had lodged many threats and complaints about the rampant hacker making a mockery of their work. The goons began smashing every device and gadget they could find to try and finally put an end to Wirret’s reign of terror once and for all, but it was all for naught as the girl was one step ahead of them. She had seen and heard them coming, hacked into the company’s camera system and their computer networks, and had set up a message of her own. In one final display of defiance against her father, Wirret made a grand escape from the company grounds, sending machines haywire and causing untold amounts of damage. Explosions were caused, fires started, and the devastation caught the attention of the police on a level that no number of bribed goons could stop. Wirret and Yamaki both went into hiding that day, neither able to show their face to the public. The latter simply disappeared, believed to have crossed the line into full-fledged criminal in order to have his revenge against his rebellious daughter. Wirret too disappeared from the world entirely; she had been fond of clubs and DJ’s in his later teen years, and came up with a cunning disguise.
Going so far as to hide her voice, she would be known as ‘Cybernekit’, a creator of carnage and mayhem wherever she went. A terror to those with things to hide, she would make a mockery of the finest defences, the best and most advanced securities, and the most elaborate traps and tripwires. Unfortunately, she had soon spent all of her remaining money on her elaborate disguise, had her own unreliable augmentations to work with and lacked any allies or even a place to hide. These kinks, along with many, many more, would need to be ironed out before Cybernekit could enact a reign of fun-fueled terror and rebellion on the big, boring corporate giants she loathed so much.

Why Are They Here?: Having failed to think her grand plan of taking down ‘The Big, Boring Businessman’ through to the end, Cybernekit currently lacks any of the tools with which to make her crazy dream a reality. So she’s stuck working at Paragon Industries for two reasons. Nobody will look for her there, since nobody really cares about Paragon Industries anymore and because they’re so desperate to make a bit of money they’re likely to put up with her laziness and disaster-ridden plans for a lot longer than just about anyone else.

Character Goal: Ultimately, she wants to achieve the somewhat-delusional superhero identity that she’s striving towards, bringing down corrupt and boring corporations in order to make the world a more fun place to be, oblivious to the fact that she’s more likely to be labelled a cyber-terrorist instead.

Equipment, Weapons, and Vehicles:
A lightly-armoured silver and black jumpsuit
An augmented helmet she built herself, armed with a neat HUD on the interior, a voice modulator to keep up the façade that is her gender and headphones for drowning out boring things. Also features a fancy exterior display that shows what track she’s listening to. It even censors swear words! (She somehow caused it to malfunction and censor just swear words.)
A Bingendo Gamesphere, her favourite games console. She also stole it.

Likes: Music (Techno, indie rock, metal, video game soundtracks and anything fast-paced) , video games (Rouge-like, turn-based strategy, RPG’s, racing, dance & Rhythm, puzzle and MOBA’s), loud things, computers, robots, other people’s computers and robots, computers and robots that make loud noises and/or go “BOOM!”, making computers and robots fight, clubbing, dancing, ‘improving things’, fire, anything that goes “Really, really fast”, drawing, junk food, the fizzy drink STL BRW and birds (Especially ducks)
Dislikes: Anything that doesn’t make loud noises, go “BOOM!” or go “Really, really fast”, computers and robots that aren’t currently being messed with by her, chores, businessmen, big corporations, hot drinks, her job, excessive alcohol and drug use.
Other: Her ‘theme song’ is This Fire by Franz Ferdinand. Either that or it’s the sound of her own laughter.

Alright, glad to see I kept some of you over the break.

So, I'm not really sure what you guys were doing as far as the doctor's office and stuff is concerned, but I'm just going to move past it for now. So Desmond will react to the doctor as if she was in the elevator, and then Paragon gets a visitor.

EDIT: Also, both David and Cybernekit are accepted. Welcome to Paragon Industries!

Alright, how should I go about introducing my character? Would she already be a member of the company or do I have to rp her first showing up?

Ok. But I'd like to humbly request that the low-grade, non-industrial-strength Q sanitizing foam that's everywhere in the infirmary lasts.

Haha. I like this idea. Arstotzka's character comes in looking to get some unfinished report, or borrow their stapler or something, and then, WHAM! Sounds fun.

I have no clue how long the foam lasts. It does make things kind of funny though if it's just there in the background...

Does it vacuum up?
Can it be melted?
Can it be scooped out with a shovel?

I honestly don't know, but there's a reason this isn't an industrial strength grade A sanitizer. It's something only Suxx-tron would have installed in him.
